I was thrilled with the conversion AL's Landscaping created to a front porch and connecting…read moresidewalk to the screened-in back porch of our Cape house that its team designed after consultation and review of options with my wife and me.The original porch was created in the 1980s and walled with stacked elevated railroad ties. The conversion to a stone wall with paver flooring was beautifully executed by a truly talented mason. The sidewalk was created over a formerly sloping crest of side lawn that provided inconvenient, uneven connective access from the front porch (now the favorite spot for relaxing) to the primary functional entry to the home at the top of the drive towards the rear. The mason did a great job on that as well. The Al's team are hard working and were extremely accommodating to our own plan alterations during their construction process resulting from our own evolving garden design plans. The home is in the mid Cape area. AL's Landscaping was significantly less than prices quoted by more locally based landscaping companies. Neighbors continue to complement the transformation. Jose came out and gave us an estimate that included burying the downspouts to avoid water dumping on the new patio. He was prompt, communicative, and gave us an estimate in a few days. We scheduled them to come the following week. He and his brother showed up right on time, and promptly began digging things out. I was impressed with what they were able to do in a single day. Because rain was in the forecast, they were flexible on coming back a second day to screed the final paver base. It rained particularly hard and it became clear that there was an issue somewhere. When they came back a few days later, I pointed it out to Jose and he promptly dug out the spot and ensured it was properly filled in and compacted. They finished the job and cleaned up. After the first day, they left the site relatively clean (considering they knew they'd be back). Overall, I would 100% recommend these guys and would love to have them back to do additional projects at our home. They were responsible, competitively priced, and wanted to ensure things were done right.

My lawn…read moreadmittedly needed some work and by fall of 2023 was looking pretty good right into spring of this year 2024. The before pics are from May 12 2024. In about 4 weeks time my lawn was RAVAGED by grubs and completely destroyed. I wanted to give Lawn Doctor a shot to try and redeem themselves and I was given 50% off for aerating and overseeing this fall, which they did. However, prior to the over seeding they came to do another weed application and the kid basically walked around with a handheld pump sprayer for 10 minutes, for almost an acre of land, and not a single weed died. When I talked to Stacy about the issue I was told it was my fault because of lack of water which wasn't true. Admittedly, I do not have an irrigation system but I watered with sprinklers as best as I could through the summer. PLENTY of people on my street don't have irrigation systems and their lawns did not look NEARLY this bad. I will never use a franchise outfit again and definitely not Lawn Doctor, I feel they do the bare minimum, skimp on product, and don't really care what your lawn looks like as long as they get paid. I didn't even want the 'best' lawn on the street, I just didn't want the 'worst' one.

They pulled out every excuse they could including blaming previous grub damage for their poor service, bad soil and weather. The fact is they didn't seed it correctly l and said we should've bought the "power seed treatment". Aka we should've paid them even more for poor results. Meanwhile, houses all over our neighborhood have had the same weather and soil and their lawns look outstanding. They offered to come back next fall and fix their awful efforts and seed again at no charge but that doesn't do anything for the current state of my lawn. When I informed them I wouldn't be paying until they fixed the existing weeds that they didn't treat they decided to fire me as a client instead and not own up to their incompetence. Most lawn companies will come out at no charge in between treatments to eliminate any outstanding weeds but these folks refuse to own up. I highly recommend Tru green or any other service for your hard earned dollars.
