We had came across Waterway Inn which also had mobile homes. We decided it was a better idea with all of us to stop and see if they had availability and they did (around 11:30pm) , the co owner showed us where the mobile home was went in before us and turned on the lights in the mobile home also turned on the heat... I thought was a little strange.. We had settled in, I was looking for an extra blanket. I opened the drawers in the first bedroom, the bottom drawer had what I thought was a bedbug. I called my husband over to check. It was a cockroach. Needless to say we threw all of our clothes into the back of our truck to wash at a later time. My husband went in and showed the imagine, the guy said it was a "JuneBug"..... we are supposed to receive a refund. I attached the photo. We realized he went in before us to more than likely to scatter the cockroaches.... Also my daughter is allergic to certain breeds of dogs. So we preferred not to have a dog room. But owner said due to insurance reasons.

First and foremost, the owner is an absolute coward. This year, every single family was moved or simply booted from their reserved lodging. They would've never called us. People started finding out 7-10 days before that their were long term renters and we were being moved around or simply dumped. They continued to renege on lodging assurances even after that. People showed up on the day they had reserved and we're told your cabin is rented. Stay in an auxiliary room off the office/laundry or worse. Front desk told us they would boot you same day if a long-term renter became available. Anyway, You're fired Brentwood. You didn't give a flip about some loyal customers. I asked her if she could tell me if the campground has monthly rates (which are cheaper), and she told me they are listed on the reservation web site and I asked if I could call her back as she was already talking to another customer, but she again directed me to the reservation web site and the call ended. I went to the reservation web site and of course it only uses nightly rates. Furthermore, the camp ground has its own web site which has NO INFORMATION AT ALL, no rates, amenities, hookup information- nthing. Just a button to the reservation web site, the address and phone number. These people DO NOT know how to run a business. They obviously can't lift a finger to do anything else but take money. AVOID.
