The property was covered in a variety of flowers and trees and had many different native birds as well. We do not have horses and there is a barn for them if you want. There are many trails in the area and one is right across the road. The owner is super friendly and knowledgeable of the area and is also a superb cook! The breakfasts were plentiful and had a good variety for any pallet. If you explore downtown Petoskey make sure you book a cruise on the ferry and explore Bay Harbor or Harbor Springs. It's only $10 round trip per person! With the current climate, once a room is booked the others are not rented out so you have the property to yourself. We will be back and stay again for sure!

Something you don't see very often on a menu. It was a nice cut of filet and the pastry waste perfect. I did try my wife's perch and I would challenge it as even being perch. The filets were very large. I rarely see perch this size. That is why I only give it 3 stars. It was also over battered. Just IHMO. I will come back again just to ask about the perch, but to try more of the menu.

Rest assured the majority of owners, and the Board of Directors itself, are dedicated to making Hearthside Grove a welcoming destination where ALL Class A motorhome enthusiasts will feel welcome and unmenaced. Since the "renovations" the prices really increased. But the unit and building we stayed in didn't show any signs of improvement. The unit smelled of smoke, the furniture was well worn and needed replacement. The view was less than desirable, we could see part of the parking lot and the side of the hill just around the overgrown bushes. There were also large weeds and vines growing up thru the decking. Additionally the smell in the hallway leading to the condo less than pleasant. It smell like a mix of bad take out and rubbish. Sadly I think this will be our last stay at The Highlands.

Park is so well maintained by them, and her hub is always on his tractor cutting the lawn or at work doing something. Bathroom's and showers spotless. Nice sites and each has a nice picnic table and fire pit, firewood sold at the office. We had a pull through site, very accommodating, good water pressure. Tent camping, swing set for the young ones. There is a restaurant across the highway which was very good. Quiet place with lots of mature trees for shade. Very close to town, so convenient. About a 25 min drive to Mackinaw City and the bridge, make a day of taking a boat ride to Mackinaw Island. We enjoyed our stay at this great campground and recommend coming here. We will return!!
