If you like living with roaches, rodents, and bedbugs then rent here. Not only is the apartment buildings filthy, management is unethical and trashy. He acts all nice but he's only about the mighty dollar. They could care less about the residents. My friend was disabled and was treated horribly there. They never complained, but should've. The apartment was not accessible and it was infested over and over. The place was rundown and unkept. They called maintenance and management all the time but they never did anything. I told them to sue this place for discrimination! Even after death the family was treated so disrespectful. After seeing what they went through I warn everyone about this place. Stay away. read more

This is to follow up my other post about the mice issue and the response from Dan the manager since there's no way to respond on this app- the office is part of the problem so forgive me if I don't want to go in their to tell them my problems which they are already aware of. The machine to add money to the laundry machine is broken and my dad went in and told them about it. They lied and said it would be fixed right away. Well it's still broken so no we have to go to a laundromat. That and the most poorly managed package room I've ever seen.. it takes weeks to get your packages even ones from Amazon and when you call them on it they have no good response. I've had to wait months for packages from them. That and the pest management guy straight up lied and said we were the only ones with a mice problem when I've talked to other people who have rats and cockroaches. What do you have to say about that Dan? Am I going to get reimbursed for inconveniences in of my missing packages and having to go to the laundromat? read more

Come live with cockroaches and mice. I see mice running around several times during the day in my unit. There are so many holes in the walls where these mice enter/exit: behind oven, dishwasher, fridge, and sides of heater etc. If u r lucky u'll get to see bed bugs too. The management does nothing more than useless "inspection" runs. They will literally enter ur place every week but don't do anything substantial. Hallways and elevators are dirty and stink so bad that u feel good on the days u have allergy :) It's common to find pieces of trash in hallways and stairs. Part of the blame is to inconsiderate residents who couldn't care less about others and break all the rules. I regret choosing Faxon Commons and urge u to stay away. read more

The biggest problem at Faxon is the upkeep and staff. The apartments themselves aren't that bad but marble a little high in price if anything. I have lived here for almost a year and been shocked by the upkeep and professionalism by staff. To begin the elevators are always disgusting. For three months straight the elevator in my building has continuously smelled of urine. The other tenants let their kids run about the halls screaming and riding bikes. Maintenance takes at least two days to handle issues. The worst part to date is I witnessed leasing agent Johanny knocking on doors and screaming (literally) at residents for unknown reasons with NO MASK! We are in the midst of a pandemic and this woman Johanny was without a mask at the doors of residents on my floor. I have never witnessed something so unprofessional AND health risk. read more

DO NOT RENT HERE, unless you do not mind getting lung cancer. They make you sign a 50 page lease that does not address smoking. People smoke everywhere in the buildings, including common areas. Cigarette smoke constantly come into my bedroom, I could never sleep there. A few days after moving in, I forgot to put my parking stick on, my car was towed, I had to pay over $200 to get it. The towing company didn't care that I was a tenant in the building, they just wanted their money. Most people in the community do not wear a mask in the midst of a pandemic. The maintenance in the complex is not that great, the elevator has been down for about 2 weeks now. I really regret moving here. read more

Absolutely ridiculous! There is an infestation of mice in the buildings to where you see multiple mice a day. Their solution? To leave letters on the doors stating pest control will come in and take care of it. We have left mouse traps everywhere, they throw them out and say they will take care of it but after pest control came, I've seen more than before. This is disgusting! How can people live like this. This is fucking disgusting. I'm sorry for my language but nothing is being done about this tragic problem that no one is taking care of it. Live here if you like and want mice roommates but I would not recommend this place even to the person I hate the most. Their dumpsters have less mice than the apartments... They run around through the heaters so who knows where else they are getting into. They also think they are slick by saying each unit has control of the heat but I have my thermostat off and yet it's still pumping heat... it's the middle of summer... that's more money your spending leaving your AC on...your better off taking your money and flushing it down the toilet. I did not end up renting an apartment here because the staff here is absolutely pathetic, condescending and disrespectful. I called their office to get quotes and availability at least 5 times and left voicemail too (in their business hours) to no response. Finally when they did answer, they gave me quotes which were way higher than what they advertise on apartments.com/faxon website. Also, they're absolutely not flexible with move-in dates (not even by a day), if you so wish to, they will adjust the rent upward even if it's a dollar or two to cover the rent for that day over the period of the lease. When I made an inquiry on the move in date and any incentives for new tenants which is common practice, i was told 'this is what it is' and why am i not leasing with others who're offering sign-in incentives. They did not show any courtesy as they should to a prospective customer. I will not do business with them even if they're my last option. Please rent with them at your own peril and do read other reviews posted here! read more

Best wishes to new Tenants! Join us to win this fight against our unwanted Guests. You will be surprised to know, their family grow by 100s in year and we residents just can kill 6 in a day at max. They are wining the fight. Very Soon, they will take over the Faxon Commons. We will be forced to leave soon. We can't afford to Kill them everyday. Kids seems to be frightened and helpless. Everyday they have to deal with those mice droppings in every corner of the Apartment. They also have to encounter those mice suffering in the Glue Trap or crushed to the death in the door. Trust me, It wont let you sleep in the night without the paranoia if you see them suffering in the Glue trap. Mice are less horrible than that Waltham Pest Control Guy. He will just start shouting if you ask any question to him. So the Mantra to save your day is just let him hand over few Sticky Pads and let him leave your Apartment quietly. Well it was a not so great experience before signing the lease - but after moving in, the management has given me no reason to complaint. The management is leaving no stone unturned to provide great service to its residents. Love the place so far. However, they definitely to work on few things: 1. Start showing actual apartment before signing the lease or before taking the application deposit 2. Install CCTV at right places to improve security at the place 3. Be little more strict on security guidlines for residents Great place with an awesome management team. read more

Pros - only 1, which is the location, and thats it. Nothing else Cons - don't know where to begin, so let me just list them: 1) inadequate heat - hence absolutely frigid winters. You call them, they would say buildings are old and they cant help 2) zero security - hence car tires are stolen, packages are stolen. You call them, they would do nothing! 3) extremely dirty - hence rats all over, no not just around the dumpster (which is like a zoo anyway) even in your sparkly clean apartment, every night! You call them, they would do nothing! 4) something is always leaking or breaking down, you come back home to see its flooded, or kitchen cabinets are ruined by some seepage from above. You call them, they would do nothing! They would apologize though and send someone with some kitchen towel. They would promise to compensate you, but of course these thieves wouldn't! 5) terrible maintenance - to even get your clogged tub opened - you have to call 3 times atleast! And if your call is answered by Claudia in the leasing office - consider that call null and void! read more

DO NOT RENT HERE. I viewed these apartments prior to seeing the reviews and EVERYTHING negative is spot on. The leasing agent confirmed that as of December 2018 all buildings are infested with mice, roaches, and bedbugs. They stated that all of their tenants are "dirty" and that they cannot do anything about the infestations from a building management standpoint. This complex is disgusting and the fact that I had to ask if there were rodents without them being up front was totally disturbing. read more

They claim themselves as luxury apartments but they are not. I live in the "renovated" one bedroom apartment but the cabinets and equipments are not cleaned, they have curry stains and scent everywhere. Then in two months after I moved in I found out the pest problem they have in the unit, I complained and they had notices for the building saying they have pest controls, but obviously it didn't help because I had to buy my own mouse traps and actually caught three mice already and my lease still isn't ending until August. Showers are not functional everyday, there were days in the winter where you suddenly had cold water and there would just be no hot water coming down. Neighbors are ignorant and loud especially with the kids, they play bicycles in parking lots areas, in the main car roads and even on tennis court surface, parents seem to don't care about their children or assume drivers will have to dodge them? No you should be guarding them and tell them to get on the sidewalk. And the adults will be playing tennis 9r badminton at the parking lot where cars are parked, what if someone's car got scratched or hit? I would not expect you to say sorry or anything right? If you want to live with a bunch of selfish ignorant neighbors and deal with strong scents in the elevators and hallways, this is your place to be. But if not, I strongly suggest you look somewhere else because it definitely not worth the price and I myself am definitely not continuing my lease once it's up. read more

I have lived here since 2 yrs and there are some pros and cons to it. Pros: -its convenient to many places - T bus and train, grocery stores, pharmacy stores, library etc. -rent includes heat & hot water. -amenities include gym, tennis court, swimming pool etc. -they do a decent job in winters to cleanup snow. -spacious room size with nice patio. -cooperative management, specially Keith (prop manager) is a great guy to talk to and listens / addresses to any specific concerns. -leasing office accepts packages when not at home. Cons: -outdated furniture in some apts. -car tier theft once in 1-2 yrs. -pests like house mice seen sometimes in the house. I gave it more stars coz there are more positives than negatives. read more

Such a GREATplace to live. The community is so kind, and the staff is AMAZING. They always help out with anything you need and are super friendly. The studios are a great size, and super high ceilings so you don't feel suffocated. The gym is a little small, but the tennis courts, and pool are very nice and up to date. This location is right near the train, wal mart, and buses so perfect location if you do not have a car. read more

We live in Faxon Commons 1035 building, its been 6 months now, i ever seen such worst maintenance service provided by the Faxon Common Maintenance. below is the reason why i am giving this feedback 1. I have reported that there are rates are roaming in the night and my kids and my wife scared to live there. Maintenance people came and put few sticky pad, but still we could see lot of rats its scaring us every day. 2. We gave maintenance FOUR request[a month back] to repair few things, after many followup maintenance guy came and fix two out of 4 request. once he left the door, the door handle fell down, not sure what kind of fix he did. two of the request he did not mind he left as it is. 3. Again two weeks back i went and reported that the fix whatever provided by the maintenance guy is not fixed it is required to fix, they note down my apartment no and building details. After a week again i went and asked why maintenance is visited my apartment to fix, from the front desk, she log the maintenance request and she said, i will inform the same to maintenance. So far no one came. Think how the maintenance. In Addition to this i want to inform all whoever read this, once you enter into this building you will feel smelly bad. YOU WILL NOT EXPECT ANY SERVICE FROM THEM. One Good think is, from this Apartment you will get good transportation frequently provided by the County. I have lived in Faxon Commons for almost 2 years and never liked it. The only reason I stayed here this long is because my office is located right in Quincy center. The units are not that spacious, are over priced with outdated layout and design and poor fixtures. Two bed room apartment has only one bed room equipped with the noisy "A/C" and other don't. The only reason people still want to live here coz its very near to grocery stores and two bus stops at a walk able distance from the apartment. Now coming to the worst part, this place is not at all safe for someone who owns a car. My car got vandalized twice in 6 months in the apartment parking lot. Glass broken and air bag was stolen also some damage to the seats. Same night another car also got broken into and the air bag was stolen. We went together to complain and the staff assured us that they will take appropriate action but never got any response. Later in the week someones car all four wheels were stolen during the day and some other day a civic's entire front bumper was gone and so on and so forth. These kind of incidents have been happening for a long time but I experienced it only after I bought a car. The Quincy Police is also not really helpful coz there is nothing much they can do and suggested us to complain to the apartment management and have them install cameras. When you request the apartment to install cameras or add some security they say its need to be approved by some higher management and suggested us to buy car insurance. I am not sure if they are really that ignorant or lack proper human resource skills. I moved out right away after hearing that from the Smart staff. Bottom line, I Highly DO NOT recommend this apartment to anyone who owns a car. Lease at your own RISK. Pros: Near to public transport, grocery stores, appears good from outside Cons: No security, not gated community, anyone can tress pass and vandalize your car, small units, noisy A/C, noisy neighbors, outdated interior, no dryer/washer in each unit, useless management. read more

Faxon Common is NOT a luxury apartment that they claim it is. The buildings are old, corridors are smelly, washing and drying units are primitive and apartments have pest issues. The management is the worst I've ever dealt with. Completely inconsiderate and just concerned about sucking money out of you with their imaginary rules and policies. If you have to relocate for work, they will not let you vacate the apartment but will charge 2 months of hefty rent as penalty despite you finding a tenant who is willing to take over the lease or sign a new lease from scratch. Even when your lease expires you HAVE TO give them two months advance notice or they will not let you vacate the apartment and hold you liable for rent. They refuse to understand that if the tenant intended to stay longer he/she would have signed a longer term lease or would have informed the leasing office about extension. They always have a my way or high way approach and are completely inconsiderate to tenants' circumstances. I had my worst nightmare trying to deal with their management office personnel. If there was a negative rating contest Faxon commons would be the undisputed winner.! Stay away at any cost. read more

Rat infested sh!thole The only thing good about this place is its location, so if you don't have a car and not in the capacity of getting one, then this place has the locational convenience. The grocery stores and bus stops are around. But if you have a car, then just drive clear of this place. It's absolutely swarming with rodents here. And if you are thinking that it's only a problem with people living on the lower floors or who don't keep their unit clean, just wait till it's late in the night and human movement slows down. You will be witnessing the horrifying image of numerous rodents running around, scarier if you have a toddler at home who puts everything in mouth. Now, if you decide to go to the leasing office and let them know about it, first they will deny it, then they will say that it's your problem, and if you press hard, they will send someone on the next Tuesday who will just put some baits. And to your horror you will see later in the night that those rodents are coming out of the heat vents and running around those baits! Don't be fooled when you come to pay a visit before leasing this place, the only thing they invest on, is keeping the outside well maintained. And if your "friend" is referring you to this place, find out first if that SOB is getting a $1000 referral bonus. read more
