I had mouse and cockroach problems at my apartment #23 owned by HAJJAR at 56 Brighton Avenue in Allston. The management, supposedly run by a "Michael Weafer," baited my apartment with mouse poison and ended up KILLING MY YOUNG COCKER SPANIEL, FRANKIE when my boy ate the poison. Frankie became PARALYZED from the waist down, and we had to PUT HIM TO SLEEP. He was only SEVEN YEARS OLD. We have PROOF of the poison in my late dog's blood for anyone who needs proof of this statement. Please e-mail me to discuss this tragic matter further. Stay FAR, FAR AWAY FROM HAJJAR. Here are two photos of my beloved Frankie at the park for the public. -- mike33eye@gmail.com Signed, MIKE EYE
P.S: The black pit bull owned by the local "machete murderer" lives in 56 Brighton Avenue, knowingly approved by Michael Weafer. This is a fact.
For four years, Hajjar and Flathound did nothing to solve these problems (sending unqualified, uncertified, incompetent exterminators once every 2 months or so who didn't even do their jobs), while the whole time, blaming their problems, which continued to get worse, on me, as they went on to harass and threaten to evict me over and over again, sending constables over to my apartment, demanding they enter so that they could take pictures!
For four long years, this went on, with dozens of mice and thousands of roaches overtaking the greater part of the building at 56 Brighton Avenue!
Michael Weafer, who I remind you is the so-called "Hajjar property manager" directly hired from Flathound Realty, refused to talk to me from the beginning (as in literally ignoring me for four straight years), and i had been referred to Hajjar's "council," Anne Marie Corraro, a supposed lawyer who was also no help, whatsoever, as she continued Michael Weafer's job of threatening and harassing me continuously. Then after a while, she refused to respond to me, as well, as the double infestation worsened.
I followed everything Hajjar told me to do as far as cleaning my apartment, but it didn't make a difference; all of the pests came from the construction site across the street, which was a huge building called "Packard Crossing" that took over 4 years to build.
During all of this, the ceiling above my bed in my bedroom at 56 Brighton Avenue caved in and almost killed me. I mean, the whole ceiling fell down and if I had been sleeping at the time, definitely could have killed me!
Then, after years of all these mouse and roach infestations, Hajjar raised the rent from $1,775 to $2,200 overnight!! That's a 24% increase! Never agree to be an at-will tenant, or this may also happen to you. And this is how Hajjar treats their tenants who pay the rent on time every month and listen to what they say for over a decade!!!!
On the day I moved out, a disgruntled Flathound employee named Amy Weafer (yes: Michael Weafer's wife) walked into Hajjar-owned 56 Brighton Avenue and literally told me as i was having an emergency that she would not let me use her phone because she didn't want me to have her number and tell everyone about her company's negligence and corruption, after which she offered to call Hajjar and i told her that nobody from Hajjar talks to me anymore. Her response was literally, "Hajjar would do anything to get you to move out at this point!" This is 100% actually what happened to me, their loyal, paying tenant.
There is a reason Hajjar took down their Flathound ad signs on 56 Brighton Avenue, and why, if you go to "flathound dot com," the website is still down! They are trying to cover their tracks of how poor they treat their tenants.
Well, no longer. Now everyone knows why not to do business with Flathound and Hajjar. These companies are corrupt, deceptive, and downright mean to their tenants. And that's a fact.
If Hajjar removes this review, it will not only speak to their embarrassment over how they treat their tenants, but i will post the review again and again, on several review sites, as well as inform everyone in person of Flathound's and Hajjar's reckless and infuriating treatment of their loyal, paying long-time tenants. read more
