ONLY because Yelp reached out to me did I submit that review. Obviously THEY knew a request was made otherwise they wouldn't be asking how it went. The error is on YOUR end. It either got lost or Yelp messed up somewhere. You mentioned the other company that I submitted same type of rating for. That company contacted me and apologized for not getting back to me. They claim they didn't my request either, but rather than getting nasty, they said it must have gotten lost in the system somewhere. They were courteous and apologetic, and asked for another opportunity to make things right. I gave it to them. Next time know your facts before you make such statements.

Garry can verify how poor of a job was done. It took him 3 visits to get the bed sturdy enough to sleep in again with extra wood and brackets doing the trick. He also cut and installed baseboards to replace the ones missing after the Murphy bed was removed from the other master suite. Pricing was fair, Garry only takes cash so keep that under consideration. I hired him off of Yelp based on his reviews and I would hire him again. Recommended!!

From the beginning, 3T has been very responsive and a great company to work with. They quickly…read moreprovided us an estimate for both sides of my property, billed each neighbor individually so there was no issues with who pays what and when. We did not have to pay any sort of deposit which was nice unless you have specific material you wanted/custom. The work was completed in a timely manner, each side took about 1 day. After the work was completed, we did however have some issues with the fence but since they guarantee the work and really care about their customers, they were right on it. With the issues we had, the owner actually came out to double and triple inspect to ensure what needed to be fixed/replaced. The communication on when they were going to come out was great, fast and they stand by their word and company. We had Nathan and Ricardo come out to fix and redo what was needed and had a great experience. Nathan explained what happened, what they fixed and did a good job doing it. Had we gone to a fly by night company, I don't think we would have been able to fix the issues and stand by the work like 3T did. Definitely recommend and glad we ended up going with them instead of some of the other competitors out there.

Storyline: Quote on my board-on-board fence was in line with other quotes, and 3T had good reviews. Had to wait over a month to get in line. Which was fine, except I signed the contract, then didn't hear from them. On the install date, I called a couple times to see if they were still coming, but went to voicemail. About 9:00am one of their guys arrived with the wood, and we went over the layout... all good I thought... so I left for work, late. I let the guy that showed up know that I specifically did NOT to have gaps under the fence that the Neighbors dog could peek under... for some of those gaps, they 'fixed it', by kicking some dirt under them... But this is the part I am very unhappy about... it's a 6' redwood, board-on-board (heavy fence). When I got home I noticed there was no center rail on the fence... every 5' or 6' fence I see has a center rail! I called them and asked if that was a mistake, and they said no, they don't put a center rail on redwood fences, like they would if it were a cedar fence, UNLESS THE CUSTOMER ASKS FOR IT. What??? The quote was so basic, and I had No idea I had to ask a fence guy for an option he never mentioned!!! So they told me that I didn't ask for an option that I was NOT told was an option, they would send me an additional quote (more than 10% of the cost of the whole job), to come out to finish the job... So, the choice they left me is, Pay over 10% more...do it myself... or take the chance that my fence won't warp or sag after the 2 year warranty... I'm not happy those are the choices they left me! Update (7/8/26): They reduced the extra cost to install the center rails and finished installing them.

I am also happy with how they routed my irrigation system. There are the occasional weeds growing through the weed guard, but I think that's inevitable. The bad: Most of the trees they planted ended up dying because they were planted incorrectly. All trees are on the same irrigation system that they routed, so they all received the same amount of water. 7/10 trees died. I pulled them out and saw that they didn't prepare the soil correctly and didn't spread the roots out after transplanting the trees. The ugly: The gate install was a complete disaster. They put the gate frame on backwards which cause the gate to have uncontrollable sagging. Also, the gate lock was put on backwards.

UPDATE 11/19/25: My neighbor wanted to replace the fence…read morebetween our yards using his fence guy but since we were splitting the cost I decided to call my fence guy (Dave the Fence Specialist) for a quote and to give him the opportunity to win the project. Just like the first project, Dave was extremely responsive and his quote ended up being much better than my neighbors fence guy. My neighbor also wanted to perfectly match the vinyl fence he had installed previously on the other side of his yard and Dave just took one look at a photo and instantly knew the brand name and color and was able to get that material while still honoring the quote. So we went with Dave. While Dave was completing the fence my neighbor was having some major renovation work done in his home and he had a lot of contractors out there at the same time. Daves work and professionalism impressed the other contractors who were out there too, so much so that my neighbor said they (the other contractors) plan on calling Dave for their fence work as well. That's how you know Dave is good - he's the contractor that other contractors call when they need fencing done! Thanks again Dave!

I watched YouTube DIY videos on removing fence posts, which required a special jack and chain kit as well as other special tools which I have. On May 18, I started my Yelp search and left some scope of work inquiries to a couple of local handymen and fencing companies. Within a matter of minutes of my postings, Harrison with Common Fence Fencing responded. After I shared some photos of the gate, he was able to provide me with a very reasonable bid/quote within a few hours. I agreed, and he was gracious enough to hold the bid until my gate installer was ready and our HOA approved our project. Fast forward to June 08. My gate installer, despite two previous text discussions, whom I previously asked and he acknowledged each time, to give me at least a five+ day lead when he wanted to install so I could schedule an appointment with Common Fence Fencing to remove the old gate. I reached out to Harrison that same morning. His company and staff were all so accommodating to schedule me in their calendar to help us out at the last minute. June 09, met two of Harrison's employees. I forgot their names, but both were so polite and very respectful of our property. They discovered a metal fence pole, which I did not expect to see under the wooden planking. They came up with a viable solution that did not require an additional cost for concrete demolition and patching. This pole was installed by the Builder's fencing sub, and we are the original homeowners. The guys worked clean from the start of the job until it was finished, and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. I am so lucky to have had an opportunity to work with Harrison, his company, and employees. Common Fence Fencing will always be my first to call for any fencing needs. (We have two neighbor fences that will need replacing in a few years).
