As a General Contractor I have used the services of Rock Solid Fence on several of my jobs and now it was finally time to have them replaced the fence on my personal property. My one neighbor chose a contractor to replace the fence between our houses a few years ago and I was so unhappy with the finished product, the lack of professionalism and the attitudes of the staff along with the owner's response to my issues regarding the poor workmanship. Well now with a new neighbor that just moved in on the other side of me, I made the request of going with my fence contractor, Ron. I couldn't be happier, especially as I now have a comparison fence. My new neighbor who agreed to let me choose the contractor said, "I really don't care as long as the price is fair, because a fence is a fence". Nothing could be further from the truth. My other fence leans to one side, the rails all look bowed because they screwed the wire to the rails (this puts tension on the rails causing them to warp in the heat), the top line of the fence looks like a roller coaster as they followed every little tiny contour of the grade and the distance from the ground to the first rail is far greater than the distance between the other rails. Now, Ron's/Rock Solid Fencing looks absolutely perfect as they did everything to address any issues that would cause their finished product to look anything less than perfect. A fence is only just a fence when it's not a fence on your property and you aren't paying for it. Oh and the price that Ron quoted us was almost to the penny exactly what the quote was that my neighbor got to do the same fence. It came out beautiful and was totally affordable. The other installations were privacy fences between neighboring homes. This company did four neighbors' fences, so when ours came down in high winds we were referred to them. From start to finish it was a pleasure working with them. Ron was professional and knowledgeable. His was the only bid we received that included a barrier for the base of the fence because our yard is higher than our neighbors... Ron explained this very inexpensive barrier would take tension off of the bottom of the fence and help it last longer. His crew showed up on time and worked quickly and effectively. They removed old wood then installed 200+ feet of 6ft vinyl fencing and a two gates. Ron handled the separate billing for each neighbor well and we had no issues. Terrible service and response. Damaged my flagstone while installing a wood fence, part of the cap on the seatwall was damaged, cracked and also dropped concrete over the rest of the stones while digging the post holes. The foreman said would have the owner contact us for the repairs never called. We have called numerous times just ignores our phone calls. Stay away from these guys their customer service is terrible and they will damage something and not take care of the damage. I will be posting pictures soon. There are many other good reputable fence companies in the area that stand behind their work, not Rock Solid fence. I plan to file a complaint with the contractors board as well. read more

This company did several of our neighbors including ours with our recommendations . One of our sides is broken and they have not returned calls to come out and fix it . They have a warranty as we thought and when we saw them doing another neighbors fence and asked them about this , the owner said he would come and see it , call his office . I wish I would have read the reviews before allowing this company to do work for me. After my gate was put up at the cost of 4,255.00, I had to speak to the guy in charge of the work about several problems. As I point noted out each problem to the guy he was not surprised by my concerns. He too knew there were problems. First, there were several parts of my fence that were off in height. It was so crooked in all of the corners. The backyard corners were so bad I couldn't believe they actually were okay with how they finished their work. Then, my gate had a huge gauge on one of the post and it was obviously crooked (still is) to my eye so I wonder how they missed it considering they are the professionals. Also, I now have a big concrete gap between my fence and my foundation. When I spoke to Rob about it he told me "I'm a fence guy not a concrete guy, but if you want I can fill it but I will have to charge you". That was basically the attitude I received from Rob. He told me that I had to understand the foundation of each house Is different and that why my fence would be crooked. I am not sure who would ever hire someone that tells you your fence will be crooked after I am done. I still fine it very unprofessional that his explanation for my crooked fence is the foundation when the houses were built. Rob kept on telling me that what I wanted fixed was no big deal and that it could be taken care of quickly. However, what he did not take responsibility for was that he claimed to be an expert at his work yet they work they left was amateur. I am a women with absolutely no experience in putting up a fence yet I was telling them what was wrong with their work. I fear for anyone who doesn't bring the flaws in their work to their attention will be taken advantage of. read more

Irritable employee install gate area incorrectly with a big space behind the post and the block wall. Owner had to come out and repair it make the gate open the other way as original one. A year later, gate wouldn't close it was broken and he wanted to charge $1,300 to replace it. If he just fix the gate it was going to be 125 to fix the gate that he installed.. Absolutely a joke. We hired Ron and his guys to put wood ranch fencing on two sides of our 5 acre property. We've had a lot of questions which he has patiently and kindly answered. His patience with our lack of direction on the details has been greatly appreciated. They have always been very punctual and Ron was good about letting me know where we were in the process and what was going to happen next. After they were done each day they cleaned up after themselves and left the area as it should be. We went with wood, 4x6 treated posts and 2x8 Douglas fir rails, but they also do vinyl and chain-link according to the business card. Their work is top notch and we even got two good looking roll gates for the area near our barn that Ron fabricated himself. We hired this company to install a basic chain link fence and Moe strip. The cement work was done very poorly even after tearing out the first attempt and redoing. We won't be able to edge around the moe strip because the form was not close enough to the ground so cement seeped underneath. The fence itself looks like it was installed by an amateur. Its really loose and the chain link is not connected to the poles correctly. We gave them 3 chances to make it right and after promising to come on the third try they didn't even show up. The owner was really nice but I think he bit off more than he could chew read more

Poor work! The installers removed/cut cut 2 feet from the vinyl post before setting it in the ground with concrete. The vinyl posts were only installed with 12 inches of concrete! That's not "Rock Solid." Very unprofessional!! I don't recommend them using this company unless you stay on top of them during the installation and hold them accountable! read more
