Tacos were $2.50 like most of the other trucks/stands that I've been to in the area and super good. I also liked that they cucumbers with some sort of salsa on them instead of just plain cucumbers I liked both the cabeza and the pastor a lot, but suadero was the one that stood out to me the most compared to previous tacos that I've had. Def recommend giving suadero a try if you haven't yet! Two of my friends tried it for the first time and liked it a lot. Only thing that would've made it better is if the pastor taco came with pineapple

I've been coming to Tacos El May for a while now. They started as a stand in front of the Bank of…read moreAmerica around Bolsa and Magnolia, and back then it was always a little unpredictable. Sometimes they'd be there, sometimes they'd move, sometimes they'd get shut down by the cops lol. Now they've upgraded to a truck and have actual hours, so definitely check their Instagram before heading over because they post their schedule and specials there too. The tripas extra crispy are FIRE. That's easily my favorite thing here and what keeps me coming back. I usually get tripas and asada, then occasionally switch it up with pastor. The asada is good, pastor is okay, but extra-crispy tripas is the move for me. One thing that puts this place higher on my taco list is the sauces. I actually like all three of them, and not every taco spot can say that. Give me good meat AND good sauces and I'm happy. They keep the menu pretty simple but have things like nachos, quesadillas, burritos and different specials. I've seen $5 tortas and discounted tacos depending on the day. Their aguas frescas have consistently been good too. They used to be cash only, which wasn't exactly a problem considering you're literally standing in front of Bank of America lol, but they take Zelle now too. My only question mark is the portion since moving into the truck. On my most recent visit, it seemed like I got noticeably less meat on my tacos than I used to. I've been here enough times without that problem that I'm not holding one visit against them yet, so we'll see if that was just a fluke. Grab your cilantro, onions and sauces and you're good to go. I've been back plenty of times and I'll keep coming back. Extra-crispy tripas, all three sauces and an agua fresca -- that's my order.

They have a handful of Fresca displayed in the front. I got a mix of their watermelon and cucumber Fresca and it was good. I noticed the consistency is a bit thicker and the mango pineapple consistency was closer to a smoothie consistency. I got the loaded friends and it's good because they use wedge fries. The cheese was very very clumpy though so it wasn't the best. I also wish the fries were more stacked with toppings. Their tacos were just okay and the meat was very fatty and tough to chew. They have a sauce bar and veggies you can get and a restroom located outdoors.

Typical taco food truck menu I would say but they do have 2 separate bars: one for the sauces and the other is for the veggies and they have plenty of it plus it well clean and well stocked up. Service is nice and friendly, not bad for waiting. Ordered a burrito ($11) with 1/2 marinated pork (which is quite good), and 1/2 with tongue (interesting, not bad but I wouldn't do it again for the burrito, for taco - yes) w/o cheese & bean - basically meats w/ rice and everything else. The portion is quite HUGE, 2 people can finish w/ that for sure. Overall, it was very tasty burrito w/ a lot of condiments, she even gave me grilled onions with it l, which are sweet & delish. Glad that I decided to stop by to give it a try. Will definitely come back for more.

You already know a spot is legit when they hand you house made hot sauce in a squeeze bottle. The fish tacos here are large as others have mentioned, and pairing them with the hot sauce is essential if you have the spice tolerance for it. Do note: It will make you start sweating out though in a good way. My only minor complaint is that they seem to not offer a Taco Tuesday deal anymore. I understand that it was probably because of the rising costs of everything, but if they can ever find a way to bring it back, it would be amazing. If you're in OC and want fish tacos, there's really no other reason to go elsewhere but here.

I was just about ready to cultivate my Mexican food taste buds, and I admit LC activated a great deal of those quite positively back in the day. Fast forward nearly a half century later, and I know my younger self would be so happy! I ordered the celebrated fish taco, a shrimp taco, an extra side of chips and a gigantic jamaica. With tip, less than $40 -- but, the amount of food that actually is, is relatively awesome! Their salsa selection is super tasty, and slightly too spicy for me (which, if you know me at all, means it's pure perfection lol). But as for the real stars of the show: bliss. There's so much meat in these tacos, and just the perfect amount of veggie, saucy accouterments. And the tortillas!! Ahhh my mouth is starting to water just remembering their mealy, handmade tasting goodness (and I just finished lunch haha)... Anyway, parking looks eh but there's always a spot somewhere. It's more indoor outdoor style but a clean and functional style it is. Thanks for bringing back the memories Los Cotijas!
