Thank you Al and Roger for turning my leaf vacuum into a work horse. I bought it last year used and…read morethe carb was leaking, they fixed that welded a metal plate around the housing because of rust; holes were starting to form. They also suggested replacing the propeller cause of years of abuse. Needless to say they finally found the propeller after doing a lot of research online for my outdated model with no serial or model number not even knowing the manufacturer of the machine since it's been repainted, that's why I'm writing this review cause it impressed me and they went above and beyond to get the job done. Most shops would have said sorry no model numbers we can't help u but they figured it out. From doing the propeller the machine has so much better suction and power. I really didn't think it would have made a difference but I'm glad I listened to their recommendation.

First, to clear some confusion, this company Googles as located in West Chester, PA, but our…read moreinvoice came from corporate offices in Boothwyn, PA, so they appear to service from various locations. AES supplied and installed our whole-house generator, and we also have an ongoing service contract with them. We found them through Home Advisor (formerly Service Magic) who has proven to provide really good choices for contracting work. (This comes from 11-year-veterans of gut-job home renovations, and some horrific contractor experiences, so when I tell you Home Advisor led us to decent people, it did.) We were initially given three options, and AES beat all other quotes to get the job. AES worked with our township to get permits, and was easy to reach and deal with, especially considering our need to delay work so we could install a concrete pad to support the unit, due to the terrain where we wanted it located. After an 84-hour Peco power loss in 2015, there was no way we were going to sit through that again. For two years now, we've had a top-notch Generac generator, connected to our gas line. It has reliably kicked in within 10 seconds of any power outage, and it was definitely money well spent. Freezer stays stocked all year with tons of food, and we don't worry about losing it.

We have an old Sub-Zero fridge that was beginning to frost up and the ice make needed constant…read moreattention to break icicles off the top. Also, ice would clump together into huge hunks that needed to be tossed. They took awhile to respond, but the tech who showed up did what he could, and it fixed the frosting on the rear wall. It took several weeks to order the part for the ice maker, but once they received it, they were very flexible about showing up for the installation. The repairman was very respectful, wore a mask, and was finished the install in 30 minutes. The icemaker now works like a champ, and we're thrilled. The PART was expensive (hey.. it's Sub-Zero) but labor was very reasonable. Very few appliance places even want to touch 40-year-old high-end appliances. I heartily recommend them.

I was ultimately told to buy a new dryer by a so-called tech who had not even been out to diagnose the appliance. The problem turned out to be the timer switch, a 5 minute fix and a $60 part. We had our generator picked up. We were provided with the cost of the pickup/delivery fee and…read morediagnostic fee which we agreed to. We didn't hear from them for 3 weeks so we called to ask about the status of our generator. The gentleman could not find the paperwork and called us back later to say he had found it and they would look at the generator now. So where was the paperwork for 3 weeks and would we have heard from them if we hadn't called? A few days later we get a text that says it's ready for pickup and the cost was over $500. They never called for consent to do any further work beyond the diagnostic. I called and the woman was instantly very rude to me as I tried to explain why I was upset with the way they had done business. The gentlemen I spoke with after was slightly less rude and did apologize for not calling with an update but then tried to excuse it by exclaiming how busy they were. If you're too busy to conduct business fairly and provide adequate customer service then maybe turning people away is better than taking their money before they've consented to the repair. Had he communicated with me about what the generator needed and why he thought it was worth the cost to repair it as opposed to buying a new one I would have appreciated that very much and I don't think is too much to ask. We asked for a small amount off the bill to compensate for our bad experience and they said no and that if we didn't pick it up they could sell it. Very predatory way of doing business and simply rude people who can't take accountability when they mess up. Steer clear...I will find a repair shop who treat their customers better.
