    Sweet little boo.

I want to extend a sincere thanks to Fauna Veterinary! They are exceptional! A breathe of fresh air! I had to put my mom's 20 yo cat down last week after caring for her since my mom's passing. They have a lovely space with a waiting room for cats and a waiting room for dogs with calming pheromones for each. The staff is caring and knowledgeable. And... drum roll... they do not overcharge, their prices are so refreshing. It cost me $70 to put my cat down not $375... it cost $64 to take her in for a check up for her. My first visit was $124. I have been paying $300/$400 every single time I go to my previous neighborhood vet, no matter what it was for. If I was worried my cat wasn't feeling well or my dog is itching his ears. It didn't matter, 3 to $400. The staff and doctors at Fauna were so caring, comforting, and did such a good job, she was comfortable, we had time together and when we were ready it was quick and smooth. She didn't choke like my other cat did, at a vet in the neighborhood, that I will not name. After that unfortunate experience, I have had vets come to the house, for our various cats and dogs, but the prices have become exorbitant and they don't have much availability... literally $375... to $450/475 for a 5.5 pound cat. I luckily found Fauna about six months ago, they have fabulous reviews, and they are in my neighborhood. I frustratingly decided to change (thank goodness) from one of the neighborhood vets we had been going to for over 20 yrs that has been bought out or something and has become literally obsessed/stuck on the "annual visit", taking blood, and doing all these extra things they don't need to do for a 20-year-old dying cat! The receptionist who won't give an inch... "your 20-year-old cat has to have her annual checkup before we can do anything else". Wtf? Ha! Thank you again Fauna! You all are phenom!

Dr. Erin and Brooce were both cool, friendly, and knowledgeable. I'm so happy to have a new vet to spoil my pets at!

    that smile says it all!

The vet took his time to check both cats. What he recommended seemed to be reasonable and sound.

Doctor Erin and Brooce were very gentle with our nervous pup and took the time to listen to all of our concerns.

I was extremely anxious and worried that whatever she ingested could seriously harm her. From the moment we arrived, the team was more than supportive. They saw her immediately, reassured us, and after scans confirmed she'd be okay, walked us through everything calmly and clearly. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared. They even fell in love with her, which helped ease my nerves. What truly set them apart was the post-visit care. During recovery, being able to email back and forth with the doctor including sending photos of anything questionable was a game changer. Responses were quick, thoughtful, and reassuring. We have a regular day-to-day vet, but this is now officially our puppy's ER/Urgent Care.

DO NOT GO. We have been going to good vets for 2 years. After Dr.Beauchamp left we really only…read morecontinued to go because of convenience and it's a huge regret. My dog was neutered 1 week ago. Since then he has had complication after complication. 1st a bad reaction to a prescribed medication causing him to diarrhea blood for days- when we went in to address his diarrhea and dehydration there was an attempt to sell me on a fecal test for Giardia when this was CLEARLY a reaction to the medication. Then the Dr "FORGOT" to give him fluids for dehydration and sold me 3 cans of food to take home to help him. Luckily, I looked into the ingredients of the food further and realized that it contained chicken which he is allergic to. No comment at this appointment on the state of his incision. 2- Luckily because I am a nurse myself I continuously assessed his incision site and noticed that there was a severe hematoma starting to look black. I immediately called the vet to let them know that the tissue was beginning to look necrotic and he was an increased pain. They requested a photo- I sent the photo for an opinion and they NEVER RESPONDED.. 3-We went to the emergency vet they said that the incision looked extremely abnormal and that we should follow up with our vet bc he will likely need a second surgery. 4- We go back to the vet because I followed up 2 DAYS after the picture was sent and Dr asks if I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A QUOTE FOR A LASER to try to bring back life to the dying tissue. Due to my pushback, they did the laser for free. I still walked out paying $85 for more pain medication because it is now required since he's having ongoing pain due to this complication. The doctor then stated that if the tissue does not get better, he will definitely need another surgery which I am sure they are thrilled to charge me for. Not only is this place an extreme money grab, half of the staff is rude and the bedside manner is CRAZY. I brought my dog in because he was clearly in pain and one of the vet techs was grabbing his cheeks, smooshing his face around aggressively saying how cute he is when he's VISIBLY uncomfortable. I'M SO THANKFUL THAT WE DECIDED TO GO WITH A RECOMMENDATION FOR HIS NOSE AND PALATE SURGERY BECAUSE I'M CONFIDENT THAT IF WE HAD SEEN A RANDOM SURGEON AT THIS LOCATION , WE WOULD'VE HAD WAY WORSE COMPLICATIONS OR ACCORDING TO OTHER REVIEWS MAY HAVE LOST OUR DOG. Save your money and go somewhere that isn't private equity and actually cares about their patients not just $$$$$!

The first two doctors we saw here were helpful in what they thought might help Oliver, but once we saw Dr. B she was very much involved in our case. What we thought was just a cut that was having trouble healing ended up being a somewhat rare form of cancer in cats. Dr. B was a huge help in getting Oliver diagnosed. Did a great job with his biopsy, and although Oliver is extremely feisty at the vet she did not back down & even called in extra back up for when we went to her in Roscoe Village which we very much appreciated! Although Oliver's cancer is not something we continuously go to GoodVets for, she put us in contact with a fantastic Vet Specialty place who was able to give us a good course of action. Thank you Dr. B for keeping on Oliver's case & not giving up on a feisty cat like Ollie! without you his diagnosis may have come much later and we might've had less time with him.

Got a call the next day that there was an online error and they could not accommodate me. the lady was nice but not helpful. I asked, since this was an error on their end, could they accommodate me- they said no. I work in healthcare and if we make an error in scheduling, we do everything we can to get that pt seen since we know what families do to have time to come in. She only referred me to an ER they work with- not urgent cares. I asked if the cost is different, she said she didn't know, which, she should have some sense of , if you are referring me there. She was the manager as well- which makes me think she does know that. Wondering if there is some shady referrals happening to the ED they collaborate with.
