Wow Fauchon is not playing around with their desserts! Oh my gosh, the pastries are delightfully decadent and tasty. We got there towards the end of the day so they didn't have very many options left but what we tried we really enjoyed. The café itself is beautiful inside. They also have a selection of cocktails and wines that we tried as well. The drinks also did not disappoint. The staff is friendly and helpful. This place came highly recommended as one of the patisseries to try in while Paris, and we are here to sign off on that recommendation.

This place is perfect for grab and go gifts to take back home! Dessert paradise, sweet tooth's beware! I was luckily enough to try some of their delicious macarons. One of my coworkers just came back from a recent customer visit in France and came back with a box of assorted macarons for me to try! Not only did the cookies survive the carry on trip back home, but they were delicious, flakey and not too sweet! They have a variety of flavors to pick from. Some even had sesame seeds on the outside! From what I could tell, I think I tried an espresso, pistachio, berry (with fruit filling), coconut and a few other delicious flavors I couldn't quite identify. I cannot wait to visit the actual store during my next trip to Paris. They do have a few locations, but this location seems to be the most popular

So much goodness, but it definitely paying a premium.. The macaroons are def worthy it.. the also features jams, jellies, cheeses, champagne, chocolates and all the other little goodies you can think of when you romanticize Paris in your musings. Everything I tried was amazing.. so you can't go wrong. This is definitely a place you go to and grab gifts for fam and friends back home.

This is for the Fauchon at Gare du Nord, but I assume the donut is the same! Pros: -Lots of delicious looking desserts Cons: -Donuts -- Chocolate Donut (1.6 euro) Yeast donut with nutella-looking icing. The dough was really soft and tasted slightly buttery but was fairly bland and flavorless. It tasted like bread with a thin layer of nutella, but even the chocolate icing lacked flavor. Get something else!

It's always a good time for Fauchon love; however, the morning is the best time to say bonjour to amour viennoiseries. Forgive me for my ignorance, but I had absolutely no clue what a macaron was until my trip to Paris some few years ago. While on vacation, I kept hearing about Fauchon, and how it just happens to be a short walk around the corner from our hotel and it's a must visit before our trip back to London..I am so happy that we went. Once inside this modern dessert/gourmet food store, you're instantly faced with an impressive array of desserts as well as an assortment of gourmet food choices. While my travel mates were perusing the store and admiring all of the displayed decadence, I went off on my own and decided to purchase three macarons; caramel, pistachio and citrus. The pretty Parisienne chick behind the counter and the handsome man at the register were both friendly and very helpful, as everyone else I encountered, asked for directions from, and met along the way in Paris. I'm just saying, as I heard a lot of negativity stateside about France and there rudeness towards Americans. As I've always said, you treat people how you want to be treated...kind. I digress. So, I had no idea what these jeweled cookies were, but they looked so appealing in their neatly displayed rows of rainbow colors that my curiosity got the best of me and I had to try one or two. My first bite of the citrus was crisp yet moist, tender, flavorful and tart all at the same time. I have never experienced anything like it!! That one bite was all it took and I was hooked!! I ended up easily spending over €40 just on macarons to travel back with. Once I finally got stateside, one of the first things I did was to search for locations that sold macarons in NYC. I was unhappy to find that Fauchon no longer existed in NYC and yet happy to find several establishments, of which Ladurée was one, that sold these delectable Parisienne treats. In most of the establishments throughout the tri-state these little morsels are quite expensive at $2.50 and up for one but are comparable in cost after you do the Euro/USD conversion. I have found that not all stores have the perfect macaron like I experienced at Fauchon, but if you're in Paris and are going to try this delectable cookie, I do propose you splurge at least once for this macaron experience...It will be well worth it!

Having my favorite apple tea (THE BEST!!!) and my favorite Mont Blanc (cake made with creme de marron, meringue francais, & sable Breton. C'est si bon!!!) at the original Fauchon store's "Salon de The" was a dream come true! Fauchon's famous apple tea is admired by many Japanese people including myself, and I believe it was the apple tea that brought Fauchon a huge success in Japan. Fauchon is the epitome of decadent luxury gourmet shop you can possibly imagine.Everything is so exquisite, their haute cuisine is a beautiful marriage of art and food. Adorned in tasteful pink and black signature colors, you will get bedazzled by the super pretty gourmet food display the moment you step into the store. Fauchon speaks pure luxury. It's like a foodies' fantasy museum! Their innovative pastries are all gorgeously embellished with pretty colors and sometimes even in metallics, making you feel bad to eat them (just momentarily.). Talk about viewing pleasure!!! As you might have already guessed, it's expensive. I mean, tres tres expensive. If you are having just a pot of apple tea and a cake, you probably end up paying 20 euros. And if you want to eat a proper lunch, expect to pay at least 50 euros. I'd say splurge it, how often are you in Paris anyways??

I love fauchon so much that I went there twice during my trip in paris. This place is like a food paradise, everything is pink and girly. But they are not all about just packaging, their food/pastries/tea etc are all top notch! We tried the eclaire and this other pastry I dont remember the name.. The amount of time and effort they put into making these are astounding. The eclaire is perfectly cool inside and outside tasted so fresh! We also tried some premade sandwiches for our quick lunch and they were all very delicious and fresh! I also picked up some stuff from the gift store, i got a rose and litchi tea, glazed chestnut set, fruit preserves and milk jam and a mushroom truffle spread. I didnt want to buy too much as I thought they are probably just pretty to look at but probably wont taste anything special, boy was I wrong!! The tea has such a fragrant rose flavor and the fruit preserves (especially the milk jam) taste so delicate!! I am really kicking myself for not bringing more of these home. If you are in paris please make sure to check fauchon out. It is really easy to find and you wont be disappointed!!

Fauchon alone is the reason why I want to go back to Paris, their desserts are phenomenal! None of these fake glamour cupcakes crap you see in the states. You want classy desserts, you come here for their amazing tarts and macarons, They are so gourmet and so pretty, you don't want to eat them. We came here for lunch and of course, I ended up ordering a few more boxes of macarons (because ordering 8 boxes of macarons weren't enough). The service is wonderful and even though this place is small, the food is still very gourmet and very elegant. I really enjoyed Paris because of this place. The next time I'm here, I'll make sure to stop in this place more than once.

I've been wanting to come here a really long time so I had really high, maybe overly high expectations. Those expectations were surprisingly met. The cafe itself, was pretty low key. A nice selection of pastries, breads, and food. The store next (next) door had all the incredible sweets that I devoured when I visited their Tokyo location. It did seem higher end in Tokyo but I feel that way about most companies that bring their goods to Tokyo. It is a great shop to buy gifts and has much more than their airport location.

Food heaven might look like this place. Had lunch here with my wife's family and everything was fantastic. I went with the the lamb which was super tender and great til the last bite. I also couldn't help myself and had to try a bit of everyone else's dish with the foie gras being my favorite of the group. Bought a ton of dessert and chocolate downstairs afterwards and definitely didn't spend as much time as I hoped. I really want to check out the wine area next time.

Fauchon is my reliable go-to whenever I'm in Paris. People may complain that its pricey and the portions are small, but I really enjoy the selection they have for breakfast and lunch. This place is a convenient one stop shop with indoor and outdoor seating. The decor and adorable packaging really makes it, and it helps that the staff are friendly and relatively conversant in English. Solid assortment of pastries for breakfast and dessert, but these aren't that great. The real reason to come here is for the selection of Foie Gras in the delicatessen and the small savory dishes. I highly recommend the Quiche here (favorite: Asparagus Quiche) which they heat up for you. Don't skip the assortment of pates, terrines, the Truffled Beef with Vegetables (costs around $40 USD), Salmon Tartare Platter, and Shrimp Cocktail. End the meal with Fauchon's macarons. This is only a short walking distance from the luxury boutiques in the Rue Saint Honore neighborhood, so if you're shopping in the area, this is the perfect place to stop by to refuel

I don't know which place came first; the Fauchon with the salmon and cheese, or the Fauchon with the chocolate and coffee, (The two are just kitty-corner from one another) but they are clearly close cousins. Particular noteworthy was an assortment of wrapped chocolates - perhaps 18" x 18" - that was on sale for a mere 530€ ! Smelling the various coffees was a religious experience! We thought about pooling our funds to buy a single chocolate to split three ways, mais non! The minimum number is 10 chocolates. We can not sell you just one. I suspect most people foolish enough to ask for such a thing immediately feel ashamed and pony up to ten bon bons! We did not succumb. I bet it would have been a great bon bon, but we held our ground with a firm, but polite, au revoir. Crazy Americans! Five stars for decadence. Three stars for "HOW much do you want for that?" Final = 4 stars!
