Wonderful yet very pricey eatery but I always come back time after time. You can get a quick brunch, sit inside, and hide away from all the hustle and bustle out side. You can sit outside, but the traffic fumes go by, I usually don't find it agree with my food. Ok, it's pricy but it's a tasteful and what a visual delight. Never to be ashamed to eat all the macaroons you want, get the multicolored. As of 2 weeks ago (1st week of September 2016) 4 macaroons cost a bit over EU$7ish or about USD$8. Wait, keep your mouth closed. It's actually cheaper then what I used to pay years ago when they "used to be" (USD$2.5 each!) on Park Ave NYC. An average sit in, salad, sandwiches, a cup of hot tea, it's about EU$17-18ish. Most workers are very, very nice with perfect English, and some are just down right unpleasant and unwilling to speak English to patrons. Don't let those "imbalanced" Fauchon staffs bring you down. Remember, just by reading on Yelp about Fauchon tells me that you just might very likely make much more than these workers whom unlikely will travel or afford the life styles as you do. Just enjoy yourself, after all it's a big city. Attitudes are free any where in Paris, but I assure you, no more than in Miami (Florida, USA) and the Miamians spoke much less English then Paris and Roma. Again free attitudes everywhere in Miami, and "no hablar English", mind you. No, it's not my opinion, just the facts. Don't forget to go across the street to L'église de la Madeleine, pray and thank the "Good Lawd" for all the great things you've just shuffled down your gastronomy systems. Ohlalalalalaaa, Merci beaucoup, mon Dieu~! Let me remind you there are refugees on every street corners in Pairs. Ok, maybe not so close to Fauchon. It's a mixed feeling. Yeah, you and I both are very fortunate and well blessed. Hint: don't hold the macaroons in your hands too long, they are very fragile, easily crumbled, and melt quick in high temperature. I just pop them in my mouth as pop corns the moment I walked out of Fauchon and go on to the next cafe for an espresso! read more
