Nope no cavities!! *Assistant asked me questions, yet when I was answering her questions, she rudely said, "when you stop talking, we can start working on your mouth". Neither hygienist were the friendliest. *Had a crown fall off. Went in to have them put it back on... she apparently did not clean all of the cement out, so crown was higher than before. He had to file the crown down to have my bite right. *They told me that black on my tooth was just minor outer damage and nothing to worry about.... Nope, Deep cavity.... Then later told me damage was so bad that I needed to get my tooth pulled, then would have to get an implant and they would do it and pushed me to get it done asap!! Nope, only needed a root canal. *Then when I contacted them to let them know that we found another dentist so to remove us from their contact list, they contacted us to tell us we had credits! What?? How long were they holding on to this money? Note: if they tell you that work needs to be done, Get a second opinion!

I didn't even realize I was an anxious dental patient before coming here -- I just assumed all dentists were uncomfortable, dismissive, and something you had to "get through." This office is the exact opposite: * They explain everything and even test tools (like the drill outside your mouth) first so you know what to expect * They actively watch your body language and check in if you seem tense or uncomfortable instead of pushing through * Even the numbing process itself is surprisingly easy (topical first + distraction techniques so it's barely noticeable) Beyond that, the level of care and education happening in the office from the full staff is just different. I've overheard dental hygienist conversations guiding patients on things like hydration and electrolytes, preventing teeth discoloration, and even thoughtful education destigmatizing cold sores with younger patients. It feels like a healthcare environment, not just a transactional appointment. And most importantly -- the work itself is exceptional. After two years as a patient, I finally replaced a yellowed and chipped front tooth filling I had avoided for years (um, decades?) because I didn't trust anyone to not make it worse. Dr. Summer took time to understand my concerns, moved efficiently through the uncomfortable parts, and then approached the final result like an artist, carefully matching color and refining until it looked and felt completely natural. I hope Dr. Kim reads this review so that he can retrain his staff on proper protocols and procedures. Based on my experience with the receptionist, it seems like the office is only focused on making money and not taking care of patients. Update: If there was an insurance issue, I should have been informed PRIOR to my appointment - not upon arrival. In addition, your office offered no other alternative than to pay for new X-rays. I was very reasonable and asked for my appointment to be rescheduled until after my X-rays were sent to your office. To be clear, your office did not reach out to my previous dentist until AFTER I arrived and AFTER I asked them to. There was no initiative on your part.
