Price Transparency? Not Here. I phoned Precision Smiles to get a ballpark figure for a custom sleep-apnea appliance. The receptionist said she was not allowed to give any numbers "per Dr. Shai Patel's instructions." In other words, I'd have to pay for a consultation just to find out whether their fee is anywhere near reasonable. I told them I'd already heard quotes around $4,200 elsewhere and didn't want to waste time or money if their price was in the same stratosphere. Still no information--just a push to book an appointment first. When a practice refuses even a rough range because the dentist says so, it feels like a bait-and-switch. That lack of transparency tells me all I need to know: I won't be trusting Dr. Patel's office with my sleep or dental care. read more

I had not been to a dentist since 2016 because I had a negative experience with my previous office, so I'm very happy to have our entire household under the care of Precision Smiles. My appointments have always started on time which is great. The care has been thorough and all of our concerns are addressed compassionately and professionally. My favorite thing is that we receive recommendations for treatment but the doctor is honest about the priority of each recommendation so I never feel pressured to do or spend anything that I'm not completely comfortable with. read more

Amazing office with top notch customer care! From Dr. Patel to the hygienist, dental assistants and front desk staff. Welcoming, professional and has the patients best interests. Highly recommended! read more

Never had a problem here great Dentist outstanding staff . Office is clean atmosphere is great .

I've now paid for 6 appointments here between my wife and kids. The good: The office is clean and the staff are friendly. They have nice benefits like text messaging you to remind and confirm appointments. The bad: This is one of those places that will nickel and dime you for everything. Need a cancer screening where we simply look inside your mouth? $20. We noticed your gums bled a bit during the cleaning - need us to squirt water on them? $30. read more

Great dentist-terrible scheduler. If you can get past the scheduler, which, I've been hung up on for asking simple questions, then you might be able to see the dentist or dental hygienist. I've been trying to make a dental hygienist appointment for 6 months and multiple times. I've left over ten voicemails in the course of 6 months and have gotten one returned phone call. When I finally did make the appointment-they cancelled it. Since I obtained new Cigna ppo insurance, and I didn't have that info within an hour of their phone call, they cancelled my appointment that I've had for 3 weeks. It's a good thing I have a PPO now and can find somewhere else. read more

In 2016 Dr Patel made removable dentures for me. They were misplaced in July/2018. I called his office and asked for them to remake. I was told, "Well, you haven't been seen in a 1.5 years so we will need to see you". I explained I was not calling to make a check-up appointment. I ONLY needed the dentures replaced. The office manager said they would NOT replace them unless I came into the office for a visit. I explained to her that I know longer live in Frisco I have relocated to Houston. They STILL insisted I came in for an appt. I then proceed and ask them to fwd me my medical records. They refused to do that!!!! Smh... I will say this, Every interaction I have had with dr Patel had been A+. I'm EXTREMELY shocked. Would not return to his clinic if my life depended on it!!!!!!!! read more

I do not have the words to explain just how good this dentist is! He and his team are truly unbelievable. If you're new to the area and looking for a dock, you really should consider Percision Smiles! read more

I expect the doctor to see the patients rather than the assistants. Even in pain the doctor didn't visit me and just have the assistants do the cleaning. I did follow up with them and there is no update from them for over a month. Finally i get a call, that everything is fine and didn't even schedule a visit. Its so frustrating that i get calls only from front office to schedule a cleaning visit. read more

To make a long story short, this place is very disorganized, the staff seems disgruntled, and somehow, although I was scheduled for a regular checkup and cleaning, I left Precision Family Dental not having my teeth cleaned. Seriously. How do you go in for a cleaning, spend 45+ min there, and walk out not getting a cleaning? Money. That's how. They wanted to negotiate back and forth over a cleaning that insurance normally covers. I have never had to pay anything extra, until this office. And they never really explained what is so different about their office that my insurance wouldn't cover it. Anyway, they started at $400, eventually coming down to $240. And when I declined, I was literally told "Let me show you out". Not cool. I hope they don't bill my insurance for the cleaning. On the plus side, no cavities and apparently I have great looking roots. So there's that. read more

Saying that, "I hate being in the chair at the dentist!" is an understatement. Dr. Shai Patel and his staff make it bearable. He is very gentle and does his absolute best to make everyone feel comfortable. Not only do I get my twice yearly cleanings, but I've also had crowns and fillings done and the shot doesn't hurt. He has been my dentist since he started his practice. The office is top notch and extremely clean. Dr. Patel and his staff are professional and friendly and I'm so glad that I found him years ago. read more

I love Cristina! She is by far the Best hygienist in Texas as I recently moved back to LA and cannot see her for my dental cleanings. :( She is extremely gentle, professional, sweet and very easy to bond with. What I really like about her is that unlike other hygienists she does not over diagnose. She will tell you the truth about your oral health and educate you for betterment if any. read more

Beautiful new office, easy to find, polite staff. Dr. Patel is so kind and caring couldn't be happier to have him as my dentist. Better than other dentists I have been to in the area. I highly suggest going and seeing Dr. Patel. If you have a fear or get nervous, he will help you to calm down and doesn't cause you to get more anxious. The one hygienist (who I have every time) loves to sing, she's always so funny and sweet! Totally forgot her name ( I'll update if I remember) read more

Dr. Patel reminds me of the good ole dentist you had back in the day who knew the names of all of your family members and made sure that you were making your appointments, regularly. As a working mother with more To Dos than I can keep up with, I sincerely appreciate the follow up, the calls to remind us of an appointment and most important, the amazing staff he has. Everyone is friendly and hospitable; it's very hard to find the same care elsewhere. I am so thankful for the way the staff breaks down the financials and really, patiently, works with us to ensure that we are able to manage the costs. I will never switch dentists unless I move out of state and would have to fly to get to him. Dr Patel and his staff are one in a million! read more

After a horrible experience at a dental office in Plano, I was referred to Dr Patel by my daughter and son in law. Everything about my appointment was wonderful! The staff was friendly, the office and exam rooms were clean and had state of the art equipment and most importantly Dr Patel and his technicians made sure that I was comfortable throughout the entire process. I felt my portion of the bill after insurance coverage was VERY reasonable. I was able to get an appointment within a day of calling. My family and I will be making Precision Dental our new dental office! Thank you! Tracy Lane read more

My family and I use to go hete, but continually had billing issues. My wife and I both have insurance, so we would get double billed, over charged, etc. We ended up turning them into our insurance companies for fraud. Their billing person (Aldon, I think) was the main issue and they have since gotten rid of him, but too late. We are currently at Frisco Center Dentistry, but they have scheduling issue and double insurance issues, too (no fraud yet). read more

Overall I have enjoyed my last 2 years with Dr. Patel. His hygenist in particular has made my visits personable and I enjoy talking with her while I am there. She has done a great job each time and takes the time to tell me what I need to work on. Dr. Patel is very kind and friendly. The only thing I think they can do better is the front desk staff. There is someone new every time I come in which causes for unorganization when it comes to my appointments but not enough to take away from my good experiences. I will continue to go to Precision as long as I can. read more

Very disorganized staff. They do not call to remind your appointment. They charge no show fee. Wait time is very long. Mr. Patel, will suggest deep cleaning every time. He frequently says you will get cancer ( what a encouraging word dentist!!!) read more

My husband was in in December to have his teeth cleaned and fit a partial, the insurance coordinator said there was an issue with getting his insurance to pay. We had started this process in March of 2016 and she still hadn't gotten anything on it. Several times she tried to blame it on the previous person that had her job which I found highly unprofessional, but yet she never followed up to see why it wasn't paid. After we left in December with the impression the partial would be done shortly, we never received a call from her of any kind. I went in this month for my cleaning and asked her about it, she stated oh that the secondary insurance had paid on it but the primary hadn't. I asked her where the partial was to which she stated she had no idea. She called two different labs to see who had it which neither of them did. She basically had no clue what they had done with it. The rest of the staff is amazing, she definitely needs to take lessons on how to do her job and respond back to patients. read more
