I ordered the sablefish. It was delicious but my friend ordered the seafood pasta and I'm jealous that her meal is larger. We shared ice cream for dessert. They only have vanilla and chocolate to choose from but they make it in house and it's so good.

    They give great ice :)

It is really pretty in here. I called on a late Sunday afternoon to see if they have a happy hour. The host was so helpful & encouraging. We all walked over & had a great time. We did not eat, but we did have a couple drinks. Very good, served by a wonderful server. We sat in a beautiful, comfortable area between the bar & the restaurant. I highly recommend coming here, enjoying their beautiful space & have a drink. Enjoy!

The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and professional, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. This place is truly a hidden gem. I honestly didn't expect a restaurant inside a hotel to be this good, but it exceeded all my expectations. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it.

We were staying in the hotel and decided to try their restaurant for breakfast since their dinner menu didn't have many options we were interested in. I love eggs Benedict so I enjoy trying different ones. This one was okay, I think the thick sliced fresh Mozzarella didn't work because I could t really taste the other ingredients. However the fries/hashbrowns were AMAZING! Also, I'm not a big fan of breakfasts that are too sweet so I was nervous about the tiramisu pancakes. They were delicious! They were light and because it's coffee wasn't overly sweet. We also got a nice table by the window overlooking the water but they also have outdoor seating. Service was fast amd attentive.

My review is for Fathom Lounge. We enjoyed the afternoon social hour small plates and cocktail specials. The outdoor patio lounge was very inviting with fire pits, heat lamps and blankets. (There are also window seats inside if you miss those coveted spots.) We enjoyed beef tare tare on potato and some lovely calamari. The service is very personable and professional. We dined elsewhere so I can't speak to main dishes. We came back in the evening twice on our trip. Was slightly bummed there is not a late nite happy hour here like some bars, (you may consider that in future.) Fathom lounge has an excellent classic cocktail, wine and beer offerings. The bartenders are some of the best mixologists I have come across. One of the bartenders clued me in on a mezcal manhattan, it was an incredibly smooth smokey excellence in a glass. Another evening we had a different bartender, craft the best sazarac, from the menu it had touchs like spray of absinthe that elevated this cocktail! (yes, I know, I enjoy old man cocktails! lol) Both times i've visited the service has been excellent! The ambiance is on point, comfortable seating, dimly lit and simply one of the coolest chill cocktail spots in town. I look forward to trying more of their menu in the future.

Oh-my, good food. This restaurant is inside a hotel, but it's not your average hotel food! The spin on Northwest cuisine is perfect! The heaters out on the patio are fabulous! Our waiter did great with helping me select a dinner that could accommodate my food allergy(cow dairy). Only reason I did not give full stars is because cigarettes smoke would waft into the patio area, gross.

We had dinner in the lounge. Great menu of small plates and entrées. Excellent ambience, with reasonable lighting and sound levels. We particularly liked the spicy tuna bites, and the chicken. Very interesting cocktail list, sorted by intensity, and then categorized by main ingredients. I wish all cocktail lists worked this way. Excellent service.

Excellent seafood with probably the best calamari preparation ever Great and friendly service with beautiful setting outdoor / enclosed patio - right across from the port Angeles ferry terminal And from the front welcome to our waiter (Nathan?) - excellent service all around

Located in the lobby of Hotel Grand Pacific. Came for happy hour on a Sunday. Beautiful interior design (and a nice outdoor patio) with such unique dishes! Following are happy hour prices: Calamari($18) - Excellent, thick, lightly breaded strips. Not greasy at all. Spicy Tuna Bites ($14) - really unique, came on a giant crispy "nori tempura" and was served in this salty sand bread crumb mixture. Crab Cake ($20) - do not recommend. Very polite staff.

Awesome place for a nice dinner in Victoria's Inner Harbor. Located inside the Hotel Grand Pacific, they offer a stylish, upscale ambiance. They focus on Northwest seafood and offer a carefully crafted cocktail menu. I went with the scallops with beluga lentils & asparagus, but the sable fish & ahi tuna looked excellent as well. For dessert, the pebbles & moss was artfully presented and delicious. The bartender provided great recommendations for drinks to pair with the food. Highly recommended for a date night, celebration, or just a memorable meal.

My ahi tuna was perfectly cooked and artfully presented on couscous with kale. My wife had the sablefish and the flavor was rich and delicious. The fish was firm and flaky. We split a flourless chocolate greenish. Pay parking was C$6 for 2 hours in a lot next to the building but up 40 steps to the restaurant. ,. Service was excellent. Our only negative was that the tables on the outside deck were very close together. We had to move one of them to allow me to get into my chair. This is our second time to visit, the last one being in winter. Amazingly, we ordered the same salad and Ahi tuna enter. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g154945-d12722769-r1065553340-Finn_s_Seafood_Chops_Cocktails-Victoria_Victoria_Capital_Regional_District_Van.html#

I enjoyed a dozen oysters, Seafood Chowder and an incredibly light and succinct Crispy Skin BC Sablefish. Service fantastic! Our server, Hunter, was very well-versed in the menu and local culture. Great local craft brew selection! Tell em' BaddBob sent you!! Update: I had to remove a star. When we left we went to the restroom. In the men's room, the urinal was broken and blocked off. No problem. I used a toilet. It wouldn't flush so my buddy had to use an unflushed toilet after me. My wife came out of the ladies room and said the sink was clogged and wouldn't drain. I let our server know.

I wouldn't recommend coming here if you need a "quick bite" or have fussy kids who will become impatient. But, if you're ok to sit and enjoy a bit you will find the service fine. As a vegetarian, I was delighted that there were ample options for me to choose from without modifications necessary. This didn't stop me from ordering the delicious cavatelli with pesto and goat cheese for two nights in a row, but I loved having options! While dining with a larger group, the person who had the chicken and the person who had the short rib, both agreed their dishes were possibly the best preparation they'd ever had. The one complaint was that some in our group felt their dish was over salted. After enjoying the pastries at duo earlier in the day, I knew dessert was going to be worth it. We ordered the earl grey bar, the apple cake, and several other little bites. All were delighted with their selection. These desserts are on the smaller side (maybe about 4-5 bites each) so I do not recommend sharing. At breakfast, I had the avocado toast which was likewise delicious. They kept the coffee hot. Aura consistently exceeded my expectations.

Right at the door, they told us we'd be "needing to wait." We waited over 30 minutes before finally being seated. Once seated, another 20 minutes passed with no water and no acknowledgment from staff. It felt like we'd been placed in the restaurant's awkward introvert corner. Finally, a disrespectful waitress acknowledged us, took our drink orders, and then we waited another 20-30 minutes just for a simple glass of milk for our 10-year-old. By then, the kid was already eyeing the exit. Our waitress approached with the warmth and enthusiasm of a DMV employee on a Monday morning. Her attitude was dismissive and condescending from the start--acting like our presence was an imposition on her perfect day. We ordered: my partner chose the Wild Mushroom Agnolotti, I went for the Aura 6 oz Beef Striploin and a Margherita, and our child ordered a cheeseburger. Thirty minutes later, with our hungry and restless child losing patience, I politely asked for an update. The waitress responded with a condescending tone, "This isn't a fast food joint." I immediately asked to speak to the manager, who, to their credit, handled it professionally and did their best to de-escalate. The food finally arrived--and surprisingly, it was really good. The steak was solid, the agnolotti hit the mark, the burger kept the kid happy, and the Margherita was decent. After that, we had minimal interaction with our server, which honestly was a relief. The food was the bright spot amid an otherwise miserable experience. The slow, disorganized service, her snarky attitude, and the feeling that we were treated like second-class citizens the moment we arrived with a child left a terrible taste that no steak could remove. The high prices only made the disappointment sting more. I will never recommend Aura Waterfront to anyone visiting Victoria, BC. If you're traveling with kids, especially, steer clear--you'll be treated as an inconvenience rather than a valued guest. Save your money and sanity for somewhere that actually appreciates your business.
