The following is our bitter experience with AAA Locksmith Solutions, in Woodbridge, VA…read more I called AAA Locksmith Solutions on Monday 3/22/2021 to schedule an appointment for Thursday March 25th, 2021. I spoke with John who told me that the charge for a technician to come to the site would be $29, and that the Technician would come with locks that we could choose from. He added that the lock starts from $30. Appointment made, and confirmed for 10:30 am on Thursday, 3/25/2021.Technician David (phone no. 540-495-1782) came to the address. He informed me and my husband that the charge was $320. I informed him of what John that I spoke with told me about pricing. "The person you spoke with is not licensed and that is the price." He took advantage of the presence of the two Sheriffs in attendance, and time constraint. He ended taking $409 cash from us. The receipt sent to my cell phone showed $309, for two locks. The receipt has A1 Locksmith on it. David only changed one lock. I called several times to talk with the Manager Jay (Day) who said he would call back after contacting the Technician. We left voicemail message on David's Cell phone (No. 540-495-1782) calling his attention that he only changed one lock and got $409 from us. David called back and denied changing one lock. He also denied getting $409 from us. "I only got $309 from you. I think you have problem with your wife. F... you" He said and hung up. The company should deal honestly, respectfully, professionally, considerably with customers. Technician David of A1 Locksmith should refrain from using vulgar language to customers. My fiancé and I both left our keys on the table inside our apartment--along with the extra set our…read morepet sitter had just returned. Not knowing what else to do, we scrolled through yelp and started making calls. These guys were the first to have a real human answer the phone. (Pro-tip: The yelp email for quotes took ended up being faster than individual calls as almost every place I messaged called me back within seconds, so if you are locked out and reading this, definitely try that). Ultimately it wasn't just the real-live human that made us choose this business, but also that they were close-by (another place with more and higher ratings is based out of NoVa and it takes at least an hour for them to even get to DC) AND they also quoted us the cheapest rate. The lady on the phone was kind and the man who came and ultimately unlocked us was fast and walked us through each step--our doorknob was installed upside down so he said he'd try not to but if he had to break it that would be an additional charge (new doorknob and install)--it didn't ultimately happen but I just really appreciated that he was up front about each step and stage and what he was doing and why. I hope I never need them, but if I did I would call them again!
