Which whatever, I blew it off. We sit down and are greeted and catered to timely, however, our server was the bartender and it was like she forgot about us as soon as her bar got busier. We waited over 35 minutes for our food even though we got there before the lunch rush. Come to find out, our food arrived, the pasta was lukewarm, our fries luke warm, my burger bun soggy because our food sat back there forever. Again because the bartender forgot she had a table as soon as she got busy. We asked for fresh fries which we got a flat, unapologetic "okay" when she grabbed them from us and when they came back you could tell they just flash fried our fries that we already had to warm them. Idk she was nice until she was busy, then she couldn't be bothered. We had to wait forever for them to bring us our check, despite sitting there with everything boxed up. Probably won't come back here after this visit.

You feel like you walked into a construction zone. If you have kids and are visiting from out of town to hit the theme parks, this is definitely a good spot to grab a bite to eat. We had a brand-new waiter who was nervous because it was his first day after training, but he did a fantastic job. We ordered the potato skins, which were quite tasty. My sister and mom ordered the French Onion soup to split, which they said was really good. It comes in a thermos, and according to them, it was the best thing they ate here. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which was okay. I wish it had come with some lettuce or something to add some freshness. I also got some fries, which were fine. My brother-in-law got the 12-oz New York strip with mashed potatoes, which he said was pretty good. My sister got a hamburger that she said was tasty. My mom ordered the steak and ale pie, which she said was okay, but she wasn't a fan of the flavors used in the stew. They apparently were pretty strong, and she believes it may have been the Guinness. I believe we'd come back, but most of us agreed we'd try something different on the menu next time.

You will need a park ticket to visit this bar. This is one of our always stop when visiting Animal Kingdom. This is just a bar, nothing fancy, but the bartenders are always great, the drinks are good, there is usually a special cocktail, the atmosphere around the bar is always upbeat and you might even catch a live performance while sipping on your cocktail. This bar has different options including specialty beer, wine and a basic stocked bar with some cocktails. There is usually a specialty cocktail of the month or quarter or event happening as well. I usually pick either a specialty beer or make a cocktail with the liquors they have. My wife usually chooses the specialty drinks. We have always enjoyed the drinks at this bar. Some of their drinks are pre batch made but for batch-made drinks, they are not terrible and still pack a nice little punch. Recently we ordered the Prickly Pear Margarita, which was originally designed to celebrate Hispanic and Latin American cultures. This was meant to be a limited time drink and it is still available, but I have no idea for how long. It is really good, one of the better drinks we have had. Hopefully it is popular so it will stay on the menu permanently. Another popular drink is the Ngumu Jungle Juice. This one is also very refreshing and a good one to order if you are unsure. I would definitely recommend this bar. They have great drinks, really friendly bartenders, lots of seating at the bar and also around it. It is perfect to grab before waiting in line for the safari or Lion King show. You cannot bring drinks into the Lion King Show but if there is a line, this is the perfect stop while you wait. I would say make sure to check it out when you need a quick drink at Animal Kingdom.

We frequently come to Animal Kingdom Lodge for breakfast and they are not open yet, so we have not gotten the chance. We finally did! To get here you will need to head to Animal Kingdom resort, which Disney does not allow you to park at without a dining reservation. It can be tricky to get here, but I would recommend coming from a theme park or Disney Springs. The lounge is open from 4:0pm to 11:00pm and food service starts at 5:00pm. My wife and I had dinner at one of their restaurants so we went here first, they do allow you to come park up to two hours before your reservation so it worked perfectly. We enjoyed it so much, we also came back to the lounge after our dinner for another drink. The resort itself is all African, theming, decor, even some cast members. I love this resort for the feel especially since both my parents are from Africa. It is always enjoyable to run into a cast member from where my parents are from and get to talk to them. The lounge is almost in between two floors. You can get to off the lobby and it's a half level down. They sandwiched a lounge on the level and it is the only thing on that "level". You cannot get to it from an elevator, you need to go down the stairs. Im sure there is a ramp for strollers and wheelchairs but I did not locate it. It also over looks Boma, the buffet style restaurant. There are seats at the bar and then a few tables and couches around, but it is not overly large. We did notice most people stopped by for a drink and took it to go although there were a few people sitting. There were more sitting after our dinner. Their menu is slightly limited, especially with the wines, but they do have a full bar and then food as well. We decided to only get one food item as we were going to dinner. We ordered the Spiced Goat Cheese Dip which was served with Assorted Breads, like pita and pepadew chips. Fantastic! It was absolutely delicious and something I would order over and over. This dip was not overly spicy, but had a little hint, it was very cheesy and creamy and then toasted on the top so you got a little crunch. It was also topped with a couple of peppers, where I think most of the "spice" came from. We were also wanting to get the burger, which we heard was delicious but we will get it next time. We both ordered a couple of different cocktails. I ordered 2 different types of Old Fashioned. The first one had bourbon and the second one had tequila. Both of these were fantastic but I am preferring tequila old fashioned' s lately. I also order a classic Manhattan, which is another favorite and this one was delicious. I usually do not go for the specialty cocktails, since they are usually too sweet for me. All three of my drinks were very strong and I definitely recommend them! My wife tried a couple of the specialty drinks and then an African wine. She first ordered the Cold Brew Martini which had Amarula Cream Liqueur, Kahlúa Liqueur, Crème de Cacao Dark Liqueur, Stoli Vanilla Vodka, and Joffrey' Cold Brew Coffee. It was a good creamy cold brew martini, not quite an espresso martini but still good and she mentioned she would get it again. She also tried the Prickly Pear Mule which had VUSA African Vodka, Belle de Brillet Pear Liqueur, Prickly Pear, and Lime topped with Ginger Beer. She loved this one but she is a huge fan of Prickly Pear. It was not overly sweet and had a slight fizz due to the ginger beer. The wine she chose was the Rustenberg Chardonnay. She would have preferred a Pinot Grigio or Moscato/Riesling but she say this was really good. It was not super sweet, just a slight sweetness, not too tart. It was a good glass of wine and a great portion. This was a great lounge and one I could see us coming to for dinner when we dont feel like cooking. Food starts at 5 but they open at 4. I highly recommend checking it out! ACES!

The packaging was organized, branded, and thoughtfully put together, which created a positive first impression before even opening the containers. The pho was the highlight. We tried the Black Ox with added tripe and fried garlic, along with a build-your-own bowl featuring brisket, thinly sliced eye round steak, fresh veggies, and beef broth. The ability to customize the bowls allowed everyone to build something they enjoyed, and the flavors came together well. We also ordered the 2-D Crispy Wings with sweet Thai chili sauce, which were a great addition to the meal. The food looked appealing when opened, and the quality held up well even as takeout. What stood out most was the attention to detail. Between the customization options, presentation, and organization of the order, it felt like a restaurant that understands the full customer experience, not just the food itself. A solid choice for pho and Vietnamese comfort food. We would definitely order from Twenty Pho Hour again.

Bahama Breeze: Please Don't Make Me Say Goodbye Yet…read more I'm back AGAIN because apparently I'm trying to get my Bahama Breeze fix before the doors close. Since we don't have this restaurant in the DC area anymore, every visit feels like a little tropical field trip. First of all, HAPPY HOUR! The $5 drinks--even the rail drinks--were actually GOOD. And at $5, I'm not asking questions. I'm just ordering another one. For round one, I tried the Spinach Dip, which was creamy, flavorful, and perfect for sharing--or keeping all to myself. I came back for another visit because apparently I had unfinished business. This time I ordered the Jerk Shrimp Pasta with added chicken. Unfortunately, this one wasn't my favorite. The flavor just wasn't giving what I needed it to give. BUT the Grilled Mahi Mahi Tacos? Now THESE understood the assignment. Flavorful, satisfying, and easily the highlight of that visit. I skipped dessert both times because apparently I have limits. I'm genuinely sad that Bahama Breeze will be closing soon, BUT I'm also intrigued by the possibility of a rebrand. So I'm choosing to see this as a "to be continued" instead of a goodbye. Until then, I'll be over here making my final Bahama Breeze memories one $5 happy-hour drink at a time.
