Run runner and Tequila Paloma - compliments of Tuan the bar tender
    Irene Q.

This place is awesome. First of all they make the best Rum Runners. Tuan, the bar tender made it for us, even though it wasn't in the menu. He can make anything! I remember him from last year. And I was so happy to see him. He gives the best service and does it with a smile. We were so happy to see him again- a year later!

This is a nice poolside bar and grill at the Omni resort outside of Orlando. The food is great for being poolside. Not the usual microwaved soggy stuff you'd expect. The drinks are tasty, and the menu is seasonal, so there is always something new. On this visit (my 4th) I tried the chicken tacos and they were HUGE. I split them with 2 other people and we were all satisfied having one taco as an app, that's how loaded they are with ingredients. Everything is fresh and usually comes out quickly, but service itself can be on the slow side. If you're in the adult area, it's hard to get a server's attention. I usually have to walk to the restaurant to order and go back to my chair, which sort of defeats the purpose of having poolside service. But other than that, this is a great place to eat and enjoy the beautiful resort.

Croc's is the bar/restaurant by the pool at the Omni Hotel & Resort. Over the years, I have had several meals and beverages here, either at tables by the bar or served by the pool. Croc's has a limited menu, but it generally does a good job with it. I recall ordering salads and tacos in the past and being pleased with them. On this visit one day I went healthy with a Passion Fruit Salad for lunch. For $15, I thought the salad was a little weak. It was pretty much a bowl of kale with a few extras add like small pieces of pickled cauliflowers and edamame. I took dinner the next night in an entirely different direction and just went with the Croc Burger and Fries. Two burgers were not huge but perfectly seasoned. The fries were thin, crispy, and deliciously salty. Yes this splurge was totally worth it! Food is generally expensive, but on par with what you would expect at a resort. Croc's is actually one of the cheaper places to eat on the property. Service can vary depending on how busy the pool is. When we are there during lacrosse tournaments the pool is extremely busy so the food can take a while. It's hard to complain however, when you are sitting outside, enjoying the pool and the weather!

    Great view!

Crocs is a perfect spot to get a drink and something to eat. Crocs is situated in the pool area of the Omni Resort. Plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas await your arrival. There are servers that even come up to your chair! I've had excellent luck with their food and their service. For lunch, when there is a conference at the hotel, Crocs getting pretty crowded, as there are lots of people trying to eat at the same time, between meetings. But, if you can avoid the rush, you will enjoy your meal.

We've been so many times but this last time was just ridiculous. An hour wait each time we ordered. Yes, we were on vacation so I didn't care too much but after the first time it was a bit excessive. I ordered a watermelon and cucumber salad with shrimp. It was supposed to come with feta, Jicima, lettuce, cabbage and shrimp. I opened it and it was diced watermelon pieces and cucumber- as if someone started making the salad and then stopped. Bizarre. The soda fountain was flat all weekend. Meh. Hopefully, they can get it back together bc it kind of ruined the relaxing pool vibe.

Upon our arrival, since we had to wait for a room like so many others, we were presented with the "signature cocktail" of Croc's. I am not sure what it was; but, it was delicious, slightly like a pina colada; but, with hints of melon or banana... it was very good. In our cabana, we ordered Wings, Nachos and Lettuce Wraps from Croc's and each item was larger than expected, delicious; and, delivered piping hot. We thoroughly enjoyed each item, including the fruit bowl that came with the cabana. My wife also ordered a Mojito; and, I had to try the Jalapeno Avocado Margarita. The latter looked bad; but, tasted great; and, it even came with a lime popsicle in the drink. If you are the least bit adventurous with your adult beverages, I would HIGHLY recommend this treat!

The atmosphere struck that perfect balance between elevated and fun, with thoughtful touches throughout the evening. They had a flower bar where you could create your own bouquet, a Photo Booth that kept everyone laughing, and a great lineup of local vendors that made the whole event feel unique and community-driven. As for the food and drinks--everything delivered. The Basque cheesecake was absolutely superb--rich, creamy, and perfectly caramelized on top with that signature burnt finish that makes it so special. The citrus olives were bright and flavorful, the fried chicken with caviar was perfectly crispy and indulgent and truffle fries was such a luxe, unexpected highlight. Every bite felt intentional and well-executed. Overall, it was more than just a dinner, it felt like an experience. Perfect for a girls' night, celebration, or just a fun way to enjoy great food and wine in a lively, stylish setting. I'll definitely be back.

The entrance is open and bright, and the ambience is modern and chic. As we were to be seated, there was wall, art made out of corks which caught my eye. We ask to be seated by the window as it has a beautiful view of the lake. We agreed by a wonderfully awesome waiter, who explained to us the menu and the wine selection. At first glance, we thought the wall taps were for beer, but in fact - duh - they are wine taps. Hence the name 60 vines... We were very pleasantly surprised. I am a white wine lover, and they had ample selection. They have a great selection of reds as well. I will say my favorite was the Albariño, followed by the four white blend... we had the zucchini chips which were light flaky and had the right amount of spice and sweet. Couldn't stop eating them. I enjoyed the egg white frittata which was topped with mushrooms and goat cheese. They could've gone a little heavier on the goat cheese, but otherwise the dish was phenomenal. My boyfriend had the eggs Benedict. I can't remember what it was called, but the poached eggs were perfect on top of a crispy croissant with herb hashbrowns, that were outstanding. I think he may have licked the dish clean... I will say we could've stopped there and left very happy, but we decided to indulge a little in dessert and a dessert adult beverage. I must say these were slamdunks. The espresso martini was on point. The other chocolate drink which I can't recall its name either had like a dust of chocolate and ice on the rim. It had liquor 43 in it and was just stupid good. But the overall winning dish was the toffee pull apart bread that was listed as a brunch item and is undoubtedly the best dessert I think I have ever had. It's like a cinnamon roll and monkey bread had a baby - It's a crispy croissant with a gooey bottom and crispy top that was moderately sweet perfection.

The first night, we had their special the miso salmon, and the rigatoni bolognese. We were offered "regular, bottled, or sparkling" water; we chose bottled, and were served warm water from a carafe style bottle with no ice. Rigatoni was tasty, but the miso salmon was burnt on the outside (inside was cooked well), bok choy was VERY salty from the soy marinade but was fine when paired with the pile of plain white rice (that I think was supposed to be a seasoned rice pilaf?). The second night, we again had the special of fettuccini alfredo with shrimp, and the pepperoni pizza with red sauce. We were offered the same for water - "regular, bottled, or sparkling". We chose "regular" this time and were still served the same carafe-style room temperature water without ice. The pizza was just okay and the crust was super chewy and tough, but the alfredo sauce was broken and the dish was a pile of noodles with clumped parmesan swimming in a lake of butter. The waitress did stop by to ask how everything was, but we had literally just been served our food. I did eat the shrimp, which were cooked nicely. I let our waitress know the sauce was broken and said I didn't want it to be remade as I already ate the shrimp. She reported this to the manager who came over and offered us a free dessert for the mistake. This was nice, but he took forever to come back with the dessert menu, and then never returned to see what dessert we might order, but attended another table right next to us several times while we waited. After 15 minutes waiting for him to even order a dessert and attending the next table 3 times, we ended up flagging down the waitress to ask for our check. Our waitress comped the Alfredo meal, which we greatly appreciated. Our waitress Sarah was a rockstar. She was working pretty much the entire restaurant and I actually heard her say to the staff "Is anyone going to help me here?". I saw her fill beers for guests behind the bar instead of waiting on the bartender. I saw her lead guests to a table with menus instead of the hostess. I also saw the manager and other staff just chilling by the kitchen area, making jokes and laughing, and empty tables needing to be cleared the entire time we were there, while we and other tables waited for just a refill of room-temp water. The restaurant was NOT full or super busy on a Friday night, so that says a lot. Also note, it's in very small type, but this restaurant adds 18% gratuity no matter the order or party size. We added an extra tip for Sarah the first night, but not the second, and I wouldn't be surprised if this restaurant splits that gratuity with the cooks and management who don't deserve it. Five stars for Sarah. One star for the rest.

Let's focus on the positives first: the atmosphere is incredibly fun and the live music Saturday night was a perfect touch at the bar. There were plenty of fun activities for the kids and there was an all-you-can-eat buffet for the kids with fried chicken and shrimp, macaroni and cheese, fries, and red velvet cupcakes. $25 is a deal if your child would chow down on shrimp, but it might not be a great deal if your child is usually full after four bites. Our server was absolutely fantastic, friendly and very attentive. We started off the dinner with some fantastic deviled eggs and a lemon cello cocktail. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was really disappointed with the tiny, overcooked shrimp and crawfish that accompanied the slightly bland grits. The shrimp on the kids buffet was at least four times larger than the sad little shrimp in my dish. I think the sausage was cut into smaller chunks just so it wouldn't be so obvious how small the shrimp was. My husband didn't love his heirloom tomato salad and said the Wagyu appetizer was disgusting. Dessert was mediocre. The macarons that accompanied my crème brûlée were stale and chewy. This is a fun spot for a drink and appetizer, but I would skip eating dinner at Highball & Harvest.

We ordered fried shrimp with fries and fried clam strips with fries, one Michelob ultra and one Mojito. The fried shrimp and fried clam strips were good, considering that this was not seafood ordered by the water, they were very fresh tasting (if you know what I mean). The bathrooms were easily accessible and very clean, and the staff were very friendly. While in my personal opinion, I feel like what we paid for lunch in total was a bit more expensive than what I think it should have been- I'm giving this five stars because of one of the managers Jeremy. Let me tell you more... A few days after we dined there, we noticed that we were charged $100 more than what our bill was while looking at our bank statement. $100 is a pretty hefty amount. We began to file a claim with the bank, but needed to call the restaurant because we no longer had our receipt and a receipt was required for the claim to prove the overcharge. The moment I mentioned to the manager, whose name again is Jeremy, that we were overcharged he immediately apologized. I explained to him what our bill was, what we should have been charged after tip and the amount that we were actually charged. He once again apologized because it was an error, but also a hefty error. I explained to him that it could have been that the receipt was misread as well as explained to him that we no longer had a copy of the receipt and wondered if they would still have a copy since we need it for the bank. Immediately, he said I can just refund you the difference. Prior to calling the restaurant I was prepared with snapshots and anything else needed to show proof of the overcharge, but at no point did Jeremy argue the overcharge. At no point did he attempt to deny it, question it or simply just give me a hard time about it. And he did in fact, refund us the same day! That experience alone will bring me back as a customer automatically. Because he did not hassle me or argue with me. He apologized multiple times and was so kind and immediately just offered a refund for the difference. He even sent me a copy of the receipt via email to show proof of the refund. Thank you Jeremy for your kindness and professionalism! (Review by voice to text, apologies for any missed errors) :)
