City Centre

With out doubt one of the best sandwich shops in the centre of Belfast. These guys really do the…read morebasics very well when it comes to the sandwich. Unlike most other city centre locations they don't mess around with hot sandwiches or paninis etc.. They keep it simple by offering an unreal selection of high quality fresh fillings and salads. The portion sizes are ridiculous (in a good way) they pile so much in it's hard to see how they make any money! My personal fav it's their club sandwich, this easily the biggest sandwich you can buy in Belfast, it's costs just over a fiver but would easily do two people. Along side the quality produce and massive portions the service is second to none. Bob and Christine run it and their banter alone is worth a visit, a nice touch is also the fact they give you a free apple with every sandwich for a healthy desert.

Was here at lunchtime and well impressed. I got a chicken and stuffing sandwich on granary with…read morelettuce and tomato. Then I realised that all salads are free and they fairly fill up the sandwiches and salad bowls look immense. They don't do toasties or hot food. All food is extremely fresh and you can see them chopping up all the vegetables behind, and the chicken is freshly cooked chicken breast not pre-cut frozen bags. Family run friendly business, and great to see these still exist and are going strong. You even get a wee bag of harbio on leaving - be warned he doesn't let you leave unless you take one!!

If I chuff on about how charming this place is, maybe it'll end up being inundated and I won't get my usual table... Anyway. I challenge any of you to find me a better coffee anywhere. That's a bold statement, isn't it? Forget about Starbucks and all that nonsense... When it comes to a good coffee, love in preparation is what matters. Love. Not firing out 3000 lattes per hour. You'll normally find me here, just either side of the lunchtime rush (there seem to be a load of solicitors nearby) enjoying a sandwich or salad (and a latté, of course) in nice, genuinely lovely surroundings. Highly, highly recommended.

It does a lovely lunch menu. It is strange that there are not more little places like this around Belfast, little locally owned cafes and it is unfortunate that this is not so. The best meal I have ever had here has to be their B.L.T sandwich. It is one of the best sandwiches I have ever. Made on brown rye bread and made with freshly made bacon it was spectacular. There soups are often pretty good as well. A worthwhile little place to stop in if you are ever hungry!

I'm just going to reiterate everything everyone has ever said to me about this deli - it is…read moreawesome! Clean, fresh, warm and welcoming with a huge choice, a good sized portion and a very decent price. The shop itself reminds me of a French deli with all the gorgeous cheeses on display and the shelves which are home to dips, spreads and chutneys! Seriously this is my kind of place! I once had a white chocolate cheesecake in here many moons ago and the image and taste are well engraved in my memory - it looked like something out of a magazine and the taste was thick, creamy yet melting and amazing. I sound like a freak but I will never forget it - haven't tasted one like it since. I can't rave about this place and the food enough - just go, you'll love it!

This makes for a very exciting smell upon entering here in the morning! Fresh baked bread...nothing better! I come here for lunch whenever I'm in the area and sometimes when I'm not! They offer a huge range of delicious fillings and will literally put together any combination you can think up! They're not afraid to give you plenty and the prices a re great too! I'm told they also cater for functions and although have never experienced this side of the business if the food here is anything to go by it'll be a win win combination!!

The staff were lovely, very helpful and sweet. We were here for a birthday celebration, so only drinks were had. I fancied some sweet potato fries but when I went up to order some the kitchen was closed. At 10pm. That was annoying. Their cocktails and delicious, only €6 for most of them. They do an awesome Jelly Donut shot, too. The passion breeze cocktail is, by far, the best one on the menu. I felt like I was on holiday! I also need to mention the ladies toilets. They're so cute! I know that might sound a bit weird but I think it's hard to find some really nice toilets for the ladies these days. The cubicles were really big, the doors locked, they were clean and nobody could peek under haha. They have a gorgeous soap and lotion set over every sink, huge mirrors and the entire room is spotless. It was a pleasant surprise. The ONLY issue I would have is that the toilet are situated behind the restaurant section, so if there's people eating, you have to pass all the way through to get to them. There are other toilets up at the top of the bar, albeit not as big as the main ones. These toilets are right beside where the bands play, so, awkward. The menu looks good, some great veggie options. Good prices, too. €5 for a pint of Budweiser, which isn't too bad. Overall, it's a nice little spot!

We returned for dinner, because after 7pm there isn't much else open in Skerries, and we'd already eaten at Stoop Your Head earlier in the week. We decided to do tapas style dinner, which was an excellent idea. The ribs were delicious, perfectly cooked and the BBQ sauce is the BEST I've had in Ireland. The wings were juicy, not dry, and the sauces (hot sauce & garlic-honey) were tasty, clearly made with quality ingredients, and I'd be surprised to learn they were made off-premises. The caesar salad was delicious (real "American" bacon), and the chili that came with the nachos was excellent. Guac was a little meh, but everything else about the meal was superb. I love the interior of the restaurant. It's cute, clean, plenty of comfortable chairs. Staff is lovely, really friendly and attentive. Will return!
