I'm very thankful that they have the Doggie Day Out program because ever since my soul dog went to heaven-- I miss spending time with a dog. The doggies get a little break from the shelter and have a nice outing. It truly brings me joy to get to spend time with the doggies. All the doggies that I've had outings with are all adopted so I'm so happy that they have found their forever homes. :) The staff here are all friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking to adopt a furry best friend. :D

We had to move the appointment date a few times (via emai) and this place was very polite and accommodating. The day of the surgery, we dropped off our puppy between 7:45-8:15am. There were like 7 other dog families there waiting to drop off their dogs. The staffs were very nice, polite, professional and definitely animal lovers. And the place was nice and clean. Between 3-4pm we picked up our puppy. They gave us some medicine for our puppy. Overall the experience was better than what I expected.

If you're looking for cats, go to Pet Food Express at Slatten Ranch on Saturdays from 12-3. or Pittsburg Petsmart on Sundays from 12-3. They have different kinds of cats and kittens with different shapes and colors just waiting to be loved. After a short screening application, your new friend is yours! Cats and kittens have an adoption fee of $100. If you're looking for dogs, they don't bring them on site. Instead, they're all at a foster house in Brentwood. Man, I've never seen so many dogs in one place! Small and big dogs alike! You can tell they're well taken cared of at Joy's house. Usually you can just sit there, observe all their personalities, and pick from there. I'm sure one will steal your heart like my Wyatt has. We were a 16 year foster for them and while they mean well they have a single paid employee who is…read moreoverwhelmed which means not all dogs get the care they deserve. Communication is lacking, they are slow to respond to requests and at times you as a foster are on your own. That makes it hard, because we all want what's best for the dogs but in doing that we let the rescue off the hook and do their job for them which just reinforces what's wrong. Maybe they will get back on track, but we will no longer foster for them.

I didn't need to bring anything except for my little boy. The lady owner helped my son remove his fur ring, informed me about the pellets they use (from Germany to closely mimic the natural chinchilla diet), and I truly appreciate her assistance and carefulness. I will definitely be returning for boarding/grooming and hope to adopt another chinchilla from this rescue in the future.

The pricing is also very reasonable for a quick dose of "purr-therapy" at $15 for adults and $10 for kids for a 30-minute session. The environment is clean and bright. We saw everything from sleepy tabbies curled up in wooden cubbies to social, friendly cats lounging on the sofas. My daughter was in heaven--she even wore her favorite kitten dress for the occasion! Jessie walked in, got down on the floor, and introduced herself to Toast like they were old friends, not sworn enemies. Toast actually relaxed (I didn't know she had that setting at the vet). Jessie is kind, patient, and clearly has a superpower with nervous pups. 10/10, would let Jessie meet Toast before anyone else again.

Last night, my cat was not feeling well. He was coughing as if something was stuck in his throat…read more We ended up taking him to the Adobe animal hospital in Los Altos. He's been there many times for other issues, and the care he received in the past has always been excellent. When we checked in, there was only one animal ahead of us. It's a nice waiting area. Everything was clean and spotless. We waited about 15 minutes before being put in a room. There was only one Dr. on site, but luckily, they weren't too busy. Dr. Beard and her vet techs took excellent care of my boy. He apparently was having an asthma flare-up. They gave him a sedative shot, since he was being a bit spicy. He hates going to the Dr., just like other pets. They gave him oxygen and a steroid shot. They also took x-rays to be sure there were no foreign objects in his throat. Luckily, all the x-rays were clear. They monitored him, and we were able to take him home after he stabilized. The staff are wonderful here. They treat your pet as if it were their own. Dr. Beard and her team helped make my baby feel better, and I'm so grateful for their compassion and love for all animals. You can tell these folks love what they do. Adobe will always be our number one place to go to for an emergency.

Compared to other places I've visited, some of the kitties here had more attitude. We shared room 1 with two other girls. They were slightly frightened by the orange kitty because it kept making hissing noises. The kitty also got into a cat fight with two other kitties. Cost $20 per person with reservations. This place is quite small, so they don't have room for you to hang out before your appointment. It's best to arrive on time. 50 minutes passed by quickly. I would visit again in the future.

The owner, Laurie, and the other volunteers were extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and organized. We saw people of all ages (young kids, teens, and adults) having a great time. There are two playrooms filled with up to 20 kittens each. There was plenty of seats, toys, food, etc. Note to wear/brung socks when you visit! We forgot but they had the cutest socks available for purchase. We cannot recommend this cafe enough and hope all of these kittens get adopted soon!
