Overall positive experience. Staff was very welcoming, nice, and helpful. Samantha was the one who helped me, and she was also very friendly and appreciated her positivity and patience very much. I would recommend anyone go here if you're looking to adopt an animal. Went in never owning a cat, to leaving with my furever friend. Also the adoption fee is a lot cheaper here compared to other places. Being able to walk in and visit all the kittens was a huge plus. Thank you to everyone at Pets In Need for your amazing customer service!

I was recommended to Pets In Need, when I was looking to get my 2 year old Mini Australian Shepherd neutered. They go by appointments and it's all easy and self-explanatory as long as you follow their instructions on what to do before the appointment and what to do when dropping off. The day of my appointment, I was nervous! However, the staff greeted me and were informative about the expected procedure. They made me feel at ease because deep inside, I was really nervous for my doggie. I felt good leaving my fur baby in the hands of such kind experts. They provided meds, a cone and some instructions for post-procedure. After a few days my dog was back to his normal goofy self. I would 20/10 recommend Pets in Need. This is an amazing organization and the staff, especially Erika, make it better because they truly love and are passionate to help our little fur babies!

This is a hard review to write because the staff and volunteers are definitely 5 stars! But unfortunately the vets there don't seem to be great. I adopted my new baby from there recently. I paid to place him on hold as he had to stay a little longer after cherry eye surgery. Everyone there was so sweet and very excited that Goku (now Gusteau) was going to a home with a yard and another dog to play with (they definitely play...and then some lol luckily they are both fixed!). The process of meeting him and introducing him to my other dog was so easy! When I first met him, the volunteer (Kira) noticed he was a little sneezy and said she would have the vet check him out for kennel cough. She noticed immediately which I thought was very impressive! When I picked him up, he was cleared medically and needed two more days of drops for his cherry eye. I was told otherwise that he was an extremely healthy dog! My bulldog had the same surgery so I knew what to look out for. Well unfortunately, the cherry eye came out again within two days. I don't mind that it'll have to be done again as I trust my vet very much. However, he also came home with kennel cough, which he gave my bulldog. Luckily she had just been vaccinated again but she had a really hard time with it. He also has a really big lump on the side of his leg that I was not told about. Seems to be some sort of cyst but I'll have it checked at his vet appointment. I very much understand that rescuing a dog can come with surprised and added medical bills (Gusteau is my 6th adoption, but my first at Pets in Need) so I'm not upset that I'll have to get these things taken care of. It's more that when adopting at Pets in Need, I think it's important to understand that the staff is amazing, the vets maybe not so much. They aren't like SPCA where there seems to be a lot of funding and new and clean facilities. So yes, there is a very strong smell there. And yes, you might get a pet with issues that they didn't catch. But they do have wonderful animals there. Gusteau is the most amazing addition to our family. He is so loved and is definitely the king of the house. Just make sure you schedule your new family addition to be viewed by your own vet asap.

    Waiting for the vaccine clinic!

I highly recommend Pets in Need for pet adoptions and their amazing and AFFORDABLE vaccine clinic! I adopted my dog (Tater tot) from Pets in Need in February 2023, which was such a simple process. They let us play with her for along as we wanted prior to adoption without any pressure of adopting. When we decided to adopt, we got her for $14 for a Valentine's Day sale for large breed dogs. Fast forward a few years, I have returned to their vaccine clinic many times which has been an amazing resource, especially in the beginning months of having a puppy and navigating all o the required vaccines. This past year, I have set up a vet for my dog for annual check up, emergencies, vaccines etc. I called my vet to schedule a 3-year rabies renewal vaccine, and got an estimate for $137 (90 something for the visit since it had to be administered by the vet and the rest for the cost of the shot). I thought that was crazy! Instead, I went to the Wednesday Pets In Need clinic and got the Rabies 3 year renewal for $20!!!! I also added an annuals deworming for $10 because why not. This totaled to $30, which was awesome compared to the vet prices! I was there for less than an hour! I will make sure to return here for all future vaccines, as that's what I used to do! I would highly recommend this to all, and while you're there make sure to donate so we can support this business and all the animals they help save!

We adopted a beatiful dog here, staff was super helpful and kind. Really liked this place a lot, and also our new puppy.

I first discovered the organization "Pets In Need", while searching through the "Resources" section of the non profit organization, "Sage Compassion for Animals" found by visiting the website Sagec4a.org. I was referred to Sagec4a.org after searching for emergency, low cost, veterinary care services through FindHelp.org. If you've never had the chance to use FindHelp.org, I highly recommend that you check out this invaluable website, for the many resources and services that it provides our local communities. Please trust me when I say that this website can change your life for the better! You can literally find so many, vital, even life saving, community resources, just by searching FindHelp.org, that it's a terrible shame that more people don't know about this beneficial site that is available for all of us to use, anytime, free of cost. I immediately reached out to Pets In Need for assistance in caring for my rescue Emotional Support Animal, a (very special cat) by the name of Gauss. I rescued Gauss, and then Gauss succeeded in rescuing me, close to the time of my birthday, August 22nd, 2023. Gauss, had awoken me during the night after he began screaming out while suffering from horrible pain during urination. Which I've recently learned, that if your cat and you ever experience a situation like this, it's important to call an emergency veterinary hospital immediately, as this could be a life threatening situation for your cat. Please watch for any signs of pain while urinating, or an inability to urinate, when it comes to caring for your cat! Gauss came to be in my care during an especially traumatic time in my life thus I found myself in a situation where I was not prepared financially for his health concerns. This type of situation is all too common, so please dont ever hesitate to reach out to organizations, such as Pets In Need, should you ever find yourself in need of help with paying for veterinary care. I can't imagine my life without Gauss, not only will these adopted animals quickly come to trust, love, comfort, and accept us unconditionally, they have also been known to vigilantly watch over us and our family and give their own lives in order to save ours. For example, Cats have been known to wake their owners, by alerting their owners that there is a fire in the house, saving their owners from an excruciating death, but sadly unable to escape from dying in fire themselves in the process. My cat Gauss has actually been keeping a vigilant watch over me, after I was recently diagnosed with Complex PTSD caused by suffering through a series of painful and traumatic in my life events recently. Gauss now spends his nights (and days) sleeping on my chest. Non Profit Organizations, such as Pets In Need, truly make the world a better place. They provide so many amazing and deserving animals with a warm, loving, caring, and comfortable place to stay, and by finding forever homes for these animals, where they can go to live in peace, joy, and happiness for the remainder of their lives. Pets In Need provides also provides emergency veterinary care to the animals who come to their shelter (and any animal in need) who might otherwise be euthanized, or much worse, left to suffer and die in excruciating pain. Please know that your love and support, via liking, sharing, reviewing, and otherwise spreading the word about these organizations on social media, Yelp, Google, TrustPilot, Facebook, etc. all make a significant impact. You can also show your support by choosing to volunteer your time, by donating funds, by donate belongs, by donating a vehicle, by donating pet food and pet supplies (to support the resources needed when caring for these animals), by fostering an animal, really any way you are able to help these animals by supporting organizations, such as Pets In Need, truly makes the World a better place, by improving and saving the lives of so many animals in need. Since many of these animals often go in life to comfort, assist and even save the lives of people in need (such as in the cases of our K9 Firefighters and K9 Officers for example), your support truly succeeds in saving all lives!

To say the least, we love and fully support this organization as it has brought THREE wonderful dogs into our lives. Every person we have talked to at SBPR is friendly, knowledgeable, and has the best interest of the animals at heart. Our first dog was our very first, but we put in the time and research to demonstrate that we were ready for a pet. Though we were newbies and fully disclosed this, SBPR saw that she was a good fit for us as a "first dog," and we have been smitten with her ever since. She is even "bosom buddies" with my mom's dog from SBPR (who is 14 going on 15). With our recent second dog, also from SBPR, we were unsure how our current dog and new dog would get along, both being older and set in their ways. The foster mom allowed us to have a meet-and-greet, and even a trial weekend to see how they would live together. She saw that we were committed to what was best for both dogs, and the potential for a loving home with another SBPR "alum". We are so happy it was a successful transition. These dogs have brought so much love and light into our lives. SBPR cares about dogs and finding loving forever homes, and we are so lucky no-kill orgs like this one exist in our area.
