Besides, a pic wouldn't do justice to the rich layers of piping hot, tender pasta sheets, slathered in hearty meat sauce and creamy béchamel and ricotta. If this is Italian comfort food, I'm all in with the way Mario's crew put this master piece on a plate. This also goes for the caprese, Cacio e pepe, margherita romana, along with the deserts like the tiramisu' de treviso, cherry cannoli siciliani, and even the bread basket is over the top. Again, apologies for the lack of photos, I will say that the visual appeal of each dish matched the flavors, so the food vanished before the thought of a photo op crossed my mind, and I savored every bite--errr, sorry about again. But if I had to make a statement describing the whole dining experience: "the gods smiled". Mario's clear goal is to bring the authentic flavors of his home to you, here in Yuma. She wasn't particularly friendly, but not impolite, I had to actually tell her why we were there. "We're here to pick up a pizza" and gave her my name. She reached down and picked it up silently and put it on the counter beside her (not in front of us), then printed something and put it in front of me and asked politely for me to sign. We ordered and paid online. I'm always surprised when a business asks us to sign a paper copy - it seems like a waste of staff's time. I was surprised to see a salad bar, I cannot remember the last time I saw one. I almost felt like the sneeze guard was a little higher than it should be, but didn't stop to gander at it because salad bars are a true turn off for me.
