We love our pizza, so that's usually a go-to for us. Growing up, my family had a favorite place that was called the Mad Italian, so I couldn't NOT order from this place! :) My husband is a traditionalist, so we only ordered a pepperoni pie. It was SUPER good. The crust was tasty and pepperoni seemed to be of quality. They're located on 4th Avenue. The do their food prep out of a food truck (it's really more of a food trailer, but we still call those food trucks right?). Don't let that keep you from trying it, there IS an indoor spot for you to dine in. We accidentally went inside before we realized that truck was where we needed to pick it up. With a craving for Deep Dish Pizza like Nancy's in Chicago and Indianapolis served I had not expected to be so disappointed. The crust was similar to what a novice might create if they tried to make pie crust with Bisquick. I'd looked at photos of their deep dish and the crust appears to have risen. This was NOT that sort of crust at all! I'm stumped! What the heck. The thick cut to the Bell Peppers looked cool but they didnt get a chance to cook at all. The cooler was nearly full but there were no diet sodas. We opted for waters and an iced tea. The Cherry Stromboli was under cooked. There was an excessive ammount of dough filling the Stromboli and it stretched and was disgustingly raw. I'd been here before and the entire meal was wonderful. Not a single flaw. This time.... The bags hung on the fence were disgusting and full of dead fly soup and live ones swarming around and feasting on the ones floating. Even so in the dining room the flies and gnats were still an issue! Incidentally some of the Reviews on Facebook contributing to Angry Italians 5 star rating are scammers posting about some Doctor in India... but they give 5 stars! What's with that? I didn't expect I'd be giving anything less than an excellent score in this review. Last time as previously stated was perfect. This time... I felt so disappointed. To the credit of staff on duty they answered my inquiry about the difference in the pizza crust. The price of the dessert Stromboli was removed from our bill when we brought it to our attention. I'm more impressed with Angry Italian each time I go, the staff are really genuinely nice and the pizza is perfect! I can vouch for the Stromboli, lunch specials (all kinds of Italian options, not just pizza), and their Vegan pizza! In fact, I almost couldn't believe the vegan Margherita was really vegan, it's so good. It would hold right up to the margherita pizzas I had in Europe. They also have vegan meatballs! The turn for their parking lot sneaks up on you from 4th ave, right at the Golden Cue (or what used to be), but there is a large sign on the ground. There's indoor and outdoor seating (even though it's technically a food truck). I'm really excited that there's going to be a second location optioning up closer to me, in the foothills soon! read more

You can choose the stromboli and pasta, and we settled on the chicken alfredo stromboli and the chicken bacon ranch pasta and we got a pepperoni pizza. A lot of food for a decent price. We stopped in Yuma for lunch on the way to California. Angry Italian turned out to be an excellent choice. Start to finish the service was fantastic! They offered my dog a piece of ham right off. The ambiance was relaxed and casual. Indoor seating area was clean and can accommodate several people. You can order directly at the food truck or receive table service. I had the Hawaiian pizza and my boyfriend had the Italian trio. Both pizzas were hot, fresh and tasted very good. The owner said everything was scratch made and it shows. I am reviewing the Foothills location on North Frontage road. We ordered one small and one large 2 topping pizzas as well as 2 bottled drinks. It was $40 so it was comparable to when we get delivery big name pizzas. They seemed to be a little busy when we arrived and we were given a 20 minute wait time. We sat outside and watched as everyone before us and after us came and went. Watched as they ordered, waited, and left, with more food than us. After finally an hour (we politely asked at the 30 mins mark how much longer, they told us 6 mins...) we received our pizzas and they were not hot but warm. We have heard so much about this place, we had to try it. We got a pizza and garlic bread to share. Plenty of food for two. The garlic bread tasted like toasted bread, not even a hint of garlic. It didn't even smell garlicky. It did come with a side of marinara so that kinda saved it but not really. The pizza was ok but not worth trying again. The minute we tried to pick up a slice to take a bite, all the toppings including the sauce just slid right off. Plenty of toppings except the pepperoni had no flavor other than spicy.
