Really good pizza and sandwiches. When traveling, we try to support independent restaurants. This one was a pleasant surprise.n

We visited Fat Alberts during traveling at their old location back in 2020 and LOVED the food. The pepperoni rolls and pizza were awesome. We have since tried to visit two more times driving from Charlotte, NC going out of our way to make this a stop and each time they are closed due to cooks or employees not showing up. Each time, we were really excited to be going and it was such a HUGE disappointment to get there only to find all the effort was for nothing. This last time, we even called the day before to make sure they would be open. The food is great but good luck getting it. We will not be trying to eat there ever again. We ordered take out pizza after a move that was delicious. The portions of bread/crust and the toppings was spot on. The pizza was so good that we attempted to call and reorder take out on Saturday evening at 5:30 p.m. following weekend but no one answers the phone. So, I drove down to place an order and wait only to discover the shop was closed. Very dissapointing, but I then went to a competitor and got pizzas. So Tony and I opted to order a pizza and he wanted to give them a whirl. He never tried the pizza here before and he's been trying for a while. The pizza was okay, nothing special. Kind of weird, but its better cold (to me) almost all bread. Neither of us was a big fan, not lot of pizza options in Ripley, but we are not really happy with his pizza option. Never going again!! The pizzas are doughy and undercooked. We gave them several chances, and each time, it was awful. We did not enjoy eating raw dough.

I use to eat here two or three times a month. Then to maybe once every 3 months. Lately it's been about once every 6 months. Portion size has gotten smaller. Quality and taste of food has DRASTICALLY reduced. I get back with another review in maybe a year. read more

Great food and good customer service. We had a variety of pizzas, calzones, and sandwiches at our table.

The way pizza is supposed to taste! Easy to miss when driving by but well worth finding it! The pizzas are absolutely amazing and the staff is friendly. The parking lot is a little difficult but don't let that stop you from checking them out! Homemade pizza at its best! read more

On August 11, I called to make a pickup order. The female that answered the phone asked me to hold please. She laid the phone down and I waited. After a minute I started to really listen to what she was talking about. ( I am still on hold) she was taking yo another person about a boy that I guess she liked I don't. 3 minutes, still on hold, she was not help any other customers or taking orders. Needless to say I hung up on minute 4 and then called Gino's. As much as I would like try this place since it is under different owners, this is the second strike. read more

Cheese pizza is really great and the everything pizza too (a mix of savory and a little sweet). I got half of each on one pizza and they were great! You may have to call a few times to get your order in but... this is how pizza is supposed to taste. read more

New ownership but the same home town feeling. The food is still great. Crust is soft with just the right amount of chewiness. The sauce is the same slight sweat but tomato base. The topping are fresh and generous amounts. read more

After hearing how good this place was we decided to give it a try. I called to place an order and the guy that answered the phone could not answer an questions about the menu. I had to wait while he went to ask someone something 4 different times. I asked the guy if they have subs he said yes and ordered a philly cheese steak that was actually a sandwich not a sub and there was like hardly any meat on it at all. I am from PA and this was not a "PHILLY" cheese steak I ordered my son a fat boy with no tomatoes. There was tomatoes all over it. The taco pizza was mostly retried beans hardly any taco meat. And my calzone was inedible. The kids meal chicken nuggets were the fake spongy things. We waited an hour for them to make it. Most of the order went in the trash and we ate cereal. Never again will we order here. It was terrible. I wish people here actually knew what good food was. I will just cook at home. read more
