1/5 -- DO NOT USE FASTSIGNS DC FOR A RUSH ORDER! I paid EXTRA for a rush order that FASTSIGNS DC GUARANTEED would be ready Friday. Not only was my order not ready--they apparently outsourced it, failed to monitor the shipment, and never contacted me about the problem until AFTER I started calling them. I had already dealt with delays getting my tax-exempt invoice corrected, while they stressed that I needed to pay immediately because production would not begin without payment. Once the taxes were removed, I was even charged more, which was explained as the cost to GUARANTEE Friday. Because this was for an important event, I paid. Friday came and I heard NOTHING. At 2:30 PM, I called and Angela told me she needed to check with production manager Anthony about my pickup time. About 45 minutes later, she called saying FedEx would deliver around 5 PM and I could pick up then. At 5:48 PM, I received another call--the package was actually in GREENSBORO, NC with NO DELIVERY DATE! So what exactly did I pay a rush fee and premium price to "guarantee"? I believed a rush order meant FASTSIGNS DC was handling the production and ensuring it would be completed on time. Instead, my order was outsourced, shipped from another state, and apparently no one was even monitoring it closely enough to notify me BEFORE my guaranteed pickup date. They were extremely diligent about collecting my payment, but there was ZERO urgency when it came to actually delivering what I paid for. This completely disrupted my event. The lack of communication, transparency, follow-up, and accountability was unacceptable. I would NEVER use FASTSIGNS DC again and absolutely would NOT recommend them for anything time-sensitive. read more

We called late afternoon on a Thursday and needed 10 banners by 8am on Monday morning. Not only were they able to accommodate, they hand delivered the items earlier than expected. Would 100% refer and use them again! Thank you! read more

Great quality and service from FASTSIGNS DC! Owner Howard and project manager, Byron worked quickly to fulfill our order. We love the print quality of the large banner for the tent and the tablecloths with our logo. The materials used are of high quality as well. They also did a fantastic job on a life-sizes Standee created of Uncle Devin! It's so life-like that is sometimes scares us. LOL We will definitely be back for additional products in the future and highly recommend FASTSIGNS DC for all of your promotional needs. The correspondence and customer service are top-notch! read more

Be careful with communications with this branch of the franchise. I placed an order with them, got a quote, approved a proof and paid in advance. I was then contacted and told that my price went up by $75.00 (up from $122.00) in a phone call. Apparently they didn't really look at the scope of the work I had asked them to do. Fastsigns is usually a good company, but I would caution anyone who would use this branch. read more

I paid nearly $300 for a product that was described to me one way but differed from the proofs they provided. After several back and forths, including my driving to their store twice to show them the product I wanted, they still could not get the order correct. Promises for nearly 3 weeks of a credit to my VISA did not happen. I finally had to contest the bill with Citi. Hopefully this will resolve the credit issue. They seriously lost out as I intended to purchase several more items if they came through. Call their number and listen to the "away" message-- totally unprofessional. Sounds like a layed-back DJ with a late-night smooth jazz radio program, not a serious business announcement. Why did I even start with them? I want to support DC businesses, but perhaps some businesses need different leadership and staffing. read more

Jeria and crew were amazing. We were under a time crunch to get a new lobby sign up, and they were with us each step of the way. I contacted 7 other sign companies in the dmv, and they were the most affordable, as well as able to get our sign up in a timely manner. They also had to deal with our very needy building office, who made everyone jump through hoops to allow the install. I highly recommend them! read more

Used them for our reception area redesign. Went through an interior decorator. They were responsive then (even though it took more than 3 times to get it right) but when I contacted them a few months ago to get more work done, it took several messages to Yvette to get a response. I passed the info along to find out that she never responded. I guess no one needs money there. Very unresponsive and unprofessional. read more

Excellent quality product for a very reasonable price, and very fast turnaround time. I dealt with Lamar to make a couple of signs for an art installation at my work, and he was very attentive and helpful. He was almost always available by phone, and when he wasn't, he always returned my phone calls promptly and was able to answer my questions. They also installed the product for me, and it looks fantastic. Very glad I used Fast Signs for this project! read more

Efficient, professional, and able to provide cost-effective suggestions to reach the goal at hand! I was in CA ordering the sign for use in Washington DC and they made the whole experience stress-free! A truly great resource! read more

Don't ever go here. Very unprofessional, horrible print quality. I even gave them the paper card stock to use and they messed that up by using their own. They where cut by hand and are all different sizes. It looks it was printed out on a home printer. I paid $55 dollars for something that went into the trash. read more

Let's say I am not very computer savy and was having difficulty creating a banner online by myself so I decided to pay the extra money and have Fastsigns do it. It was definitely worth it. In all of 10 mins David McCoy captured my design idea and I received a proof from the graphic designer the next day. I had one edit and my banner was produced on quality vinyl material unlike what you get from Staples. I wil use their servicies again. read more

I have been in contact with fastsigns since early last year. Their sales manager and I emailed about making signs for my business. I had specifically asked for heavy fabric-like material for my vertical banner sign and I sent example pictures. In June, She proceeded with a quote and gave me an example of how it would look (which it was merely a cut and paste on the top of the banner and 3/4 of empty space). For real?! I changed that design. They came to measure. I paid for the business. A few weeks later the gentleman told me the banners were mis-measured. They had to come back. Ok, mistakes like that can happen. 3 weeks later, the sign went up. Not right at all. Vinyl, shiny, thin, looks temporary. I wrote on the receipt the guy have me to sign and said this is not right, 2 days later I had to contact them to make sure they got the message and how are we to fix it. Her answer, I will give you a quote for the fabric because its more expensive. I say, I should only pay the difference, if any. "You dont want to use them?" Is what she said verbatim. "No. Its not what I asked for." She tells me the pic sent to her looked like vinyl. Now, if I said heavy cloth-like material, wouldnt you have thought to call to make sure we are on the same page before you decided to make your own decision? I asked to speak to a higher up during our multiple email conversations. She ignored that one. She sent me a new quote for a new banner. I went to fast signs to speak with her( which was planned). At the end, she quoted me for another banner with no thought of reimbursing me for the banner I didnt want and told me its more expensive. But her and i added it up... they took 15% off and offered no installation fee but came out pretty much the same. Then she shows me the cloth material they have and would put a board in between and the continued to tell me that no part of the city has heavy cloth like banners. Which the pic I sent was from signs in the city. If you didnt have the correct cloth then you shouldve said something. Im dumbfounded on how someone thinks that a customer should pay for something they didnt ask for and send them another quote and expect them to pay for that too. No one in there right mind would think this is customer service at its best. This un-necessary debacle has been going on since August. I was out of a sign for a month and a half losing business. Last time we talked was the beginning of December. Im still waiting to hear from them. Because she "wants to make it right". I gave her the easiest way to make it right. Clearly she is refusing for reasons. I have constantly been the one contacting them. I havent heard anything yet. I still would love to speak to the owner. read more

I used Fast Signs for a site sign and I was pleased with their service. They were pretty responsive on taking comments on the proof, and did a nice layout. It was delivered on time. read more
