Just another money grab. When you buy a new car they give you a temporary license plate. Fast trak has the ability to process that and recognize a vin but yet uncapable of sending a bill out to the customer. After a year when we went to pay the registration. That's when we found out about outstanding tickets and fines. (For the curious) As a courier transporting life saving medicines, organs and surgical kits. Must have gone over that bridge 3 times a week and sometimes twice a day. Not like we are trying to skip out on a bill. So I was charge for 6 dates of tolls fees. Problem is, I called to see what was going on. 2 moths from I called and they said that I only had to pay a certain amount and my amount was going to be cleared. So I came home on 8/24/23 and got a billed that was from 2 months ago of 72$. So I called again and they said that the device wasn't be charge and that they couldn't do anything about that it was my fault because I that de device wrongly placed ( device is in the middle of the windshield and it can clearly be seen) this company is a scammed and a fraud. How can the government allow this to happen. Next time it going to the news. Also how are this a clear picture they use? This review is specifically for the online web account. The call representatives were very helpful, aside from the long wait times, I have not had any problems with any of the call reps. I've never dealt with an online acccount service as terrible as Fastrak's. It's very frustrating when your user name and password doesn't work no matter how many times I've reset it. Whenever I try to reset my password, the link that gets sent to my email just brings me back to the log in screen, I have to try numerous times to be able to reset my password. Once I reset my password, I'm still unable to log in. Be mindful of how many times you try because your account will be locked. Please fix this issue. I don't know how many times I've tried to log into my Online Fastrak account but couldn't because the system is "unable to find an account matching the information provided". Seems like I'm only able to log into my account when I'm on the phone with a customer service rep. I know I'm not putting in the wrong log-in information so this is an issue with Fastrak. Please fix this issue because I know I'm not the only one who is dealing with this. I'll update my review when the issue is resolved. read more

My experience was not in office but over the phone Billy was the kindest support rep and provided above par customer service! I haven't had the best support in the past and this experience really shined. They are complete idiots. They sprung hidden past unpaid tolls that never showed up on my account and they NEVER told me about while speaking earlier with them on the phone, so that the penalties piled up to almost $400. They sent notices, but to our old address, even though our new mailing address has been clearly updated on THEIR site for almost a year! This outfit is horrible to deal with. I enrolled in FasTrak. Paid for toll tags to attach to interior of windshield, but received a black bar in the mail. What is this? I did NOT order an exterior mount. No instructions were included in the package. Sticker on invoice had been removed. Customer service office is closed. Now I'm stuck with this useless bar and still can't access FasTrak. This bar came with screws, so it must mount on the outside of the car... where anyone can come by at night, unscrew it and leave me worse off than I am now. Horrible!!! Worse customer service ever! I seldom cross bridges in the Bay Area. But there were several charges on my account for cars I no longer own. Providing proof did no good. The live person I spoke to was passive aggressive, rude, and kept telling me I would receive no refund. When I finally got tired of her snotty mouth, I said just cancel my account. I have two transponders to mail in. She said I had two weeks, not counting Thanksgiving day. It has been 10 days, and I get a notice that they're charging me fees for not returning the transponders. Absolutely abysmal customer service. Used the online system to try to dispute horrendously unclear signage on the side of the road. Spoke to the rudest representative over the chat system who ridiculed all of my questions and answered all of them passive aggressively. This bogus company are sending me invoice toll evasion fees every week, I live in San Diego not SF and the car is dark Lexus I drive a white Mazda CX5 I have contacted and disputed several times through email and sending through USPS with supporting documentation that there is an obvious mismatch with license #and the wrong car but it is ignored There is a class action law suit filed against them so seems this is a common problem with this company and no way to resolve this though customer service as you can never get through .. read more

Update 12/7/2020: After spending several hours of my time waiting on hold several times, talking to several of their reps over the phone, and verbally beating up several of them, and then threatening to drive to their office in San Francisco to raise hell if the didn't resolve the issue---they finally refunded my money and closed my account---although it took 3 weeks. I still would refrain from ever using them again---especially if it means linking your credit card to them on their website. Called their Customer Service number on 11/9/20 to discuss closing my account and stated that I wanted my balance of $28.65 returned to me. Sent my transponder back to them thru U.S. Postal Service on 11/9/20. However, on 11/10/20, I was charged $26.00 for a toll in SF. I was never in SF. And then they put $25.00 more on my account charging my credit card on 11/11/20. They now owe me $53.65. Beware of this company Fastrak. They are unethical and dishonest. I live across the bay from San Francisco. I bought 2 Fast Trak devices back in June, wasn't wearing my glasses. So I didn't read the part you need to registrar immediately..lol Yesterday I called by phone registered one device, they told me the other one was already in use?? Now what I paid for them both at Walgreen's. They said I need to return it either by mail or in person. Well I'm not sending it in the mail, you do that and you talking a 2+ weeks delay in resolving the issue. So I went down there.....now, here is the Tip! Although you may be tempted,DO NOT DRIVE YOUR CAR INTO DOWNTOWN San Francisco! For any reason, unless you have some kinda prearranged parking agreement! Get a friend or Uber to drop you off at 375 Beale! Or better yet "Take Bart"! Parking in the business district is controlled by garages. I already asked the desk they do not validate....! It's not an issue for you , if money is burning a hole in your pocket.When you first walk into the building,you need to check in at the front desk, you sign in and they will give you a badge to wear and direct you to the elevators to the second floor. Keep in mind you never know how long the line is once you arrive on the second floor. If you thinking you can take a chance and park illegally in this city?? As of 12.9.20, had $17 as my balance. Because I didn't have a credit card on file, I got charged $20, which brought my balance to -$3! The $20 is apparently for their device (not sure how this is connected to not having a credit card on file). Spoke to rep Jasmine who said she didn't have an ID # for herself. My options were to put a credit card on file and they will reverse the $20 fee or they will send a pre-paid mailing label so I can send the device back and they will refund my account balance of $17. I confirmed that if I put a credit card on file, they won't charge my credit card but I have a bad feeling that they will charge the amount shown on their site ($40). I'm also worried that if I try to close my account, they're going to claim they never got the device and not even give me the balance back. Or so this is what I've gathered from the previous reviews. Ugh.... it shouldn't be this difficult but it is, and I think they really enjoy it. There's no way they can't figure a simpler solution. read more

How is this company even allowed to serve the Bay Area? My list of the complaint is huge: I've been receiving tickets every time I cross those bridges. I add money, I cross the bridge and the sign says "call Fastrak". My advice bips sometimes, some others don't, sometimes even biped twice. My address has been updated every time I moved, my car has been registered since I purchased it in 2017. I called this week to complain about the extra $40.00 charges and was told I have 10 tickets from 2018 (that I never received and never was aware of). I was told to protest them, but how??? There are no records of them on my account and I do not have them BECAUSE I NEVER RECEIVED THEM! So, randomly being charged, receiving tickets every time I cross the bridge even though I have money on account, over 400.00 in extra tickets I was never aware of from 2 years ago, a faulty device that bips twice sometimes and sometimes don't. Seriously, I feel like FasTrak has too much power on the toll business and we do not have any other option other than add 30 to 40 min to the commute and pay cash. read more

I have an electric vehicle with all the tags around the outside of the car. The tag on the windshield that says CAV for electric vehicles from FastTrack. I've been getting double charged and now they're refusing to repay the worst system that California has ever did was to get rid of our toll takers fast track online customer service is a -1 star they lie to you they won't help you. I called it in. They said there was metal inside my windshield to where the device isn't reading for me to call the manufacturer. No I'm calling the person who gave it to me and they're only authorized to give back 30 days for me to talk to a supervisor waited on the phone for over 10 minutes. Fastrack is simply a huge scam first off they decide the amount of money you have to pay then they over charge all the time and when you need help or have any questions it's impossible to get in contact with them. One time I called at 8:14 am (they open at 8) and the machine said that there wasn't anyone available to speak with. Their camera produced a photo that is completely black! In other words, there is no way to prove that the vehicle in that photo is really my vehicle. On their website, one may dispute the violation. However, don't even bother to contact these people. I did both: Disputed the violation online and took my time to write them an email to complain about the photo which proves nothing. Well, I got my reply today with whomever replied saying nothing new. Just a copy/paste from the FasTrak policy that the violation is there to pay online and if I do not do so the penalty will remain, blah, blah, blah. As to my actual complaint telling them that their furnished photo does not prove it was my vehicle and that is why I am disputing the violation, the person just referred me to their website where I may see the actual violation plus a photo of the vehicle to prove it's mine. Uhm, that is the problem: The photo that's on the violation which is on their website is pitch black proving nothing. Wow. These people who reply to emails are completely dense or just could care less to actually read the email message properly. My God this FasTrak is a scam to extort $$$ from anyone in CA as long as one's vehicle is registered in this state. Also whomever runs FasTrak must really believe that the public is as dense as their agents. Their website claims that if it's the first time you've received a violation that you may have it dismissed. Sounds great except the catch is they tell you that you have to open a new FasTrak account. And with that you need to choose a $ amount to load into your account balance (a prepayment). So the violation amount isn't going to be dismissed at all; it's just going to be deducted from your account balance... Extortionists they are. read more

Golden Gate Bridge Toll. It's a scam. I paid once for a one time crossing. They sent me a second bill, and it's difficult and time consuming to figure out if they got the original payment. They don't answer when you call. So, "m trying to pay a second time. Don't kid yourself (State of CA), these systems do not make anything easier or faster for anyone other than (State of CA). Improperly penalized! Then, they won't take my money....online because the invoice says you can pay online (and that I'm within the time-line), but the system says sorry it's been past a month.... Have to say most frustrating experience of our life's! Didn't "choose " to go on the 101 toll- no choice. Had MONEY IN HAND! And it was fast and scary going through the tolls. 2nd time we confirmed there really WASNT a place to pay. We are NOT from the city and not familiar with fastrack. There was NO OPTION to pay. So we received mail- but I get tonnnnns of junk mail- again not familiar with Fastrak. When opened- already a 30 fine each ticket (2 bridge-one no idea) so we called and explained. They reduced the 300.00 in fines on which the PUT A HOLD ON OUR DMV Are you reading this! When we went to register our car- they had tripled+ each fine! We can't register our car? We called. They lowered fine BUT NOONE WILL ACTUALLY TAKE A PAYMENT AND RELEASE OUR CAR SO WE CAN REGISTER IT! It's a nightmare! It's truly been over a year. We call weekly and get either a SUPER RUDE PERSON OR ONE WWHO GIVES US FALSE HOPE. So DMV itself WILL HAVE MAJOR FINES. Plus they want 300.00 in fines. They agreed to lower to resolve, but for a year now(I'm serious) no one will follow through to help us. Straight up thieves. Their low-quality license plate readers get it wrong, transposed an M into an N. So they send me a bill instead of whoever actually owned the car. Company must be ran by absolute scumbags. Trying to simply pay a toll is an ordeal in itself, getting someone on the phone is impossible, disputing a violation is near impossible as well. This is the third violation I have been sent, for a vehicle I do not even own anymore. They did not accept my Bill of Sale, so they sent my information to a collection agency. I am now having the same process happen with another vehicle I sold, and the new owner seems to drive across the bridges a lot, so this is going to be a nightmare. FasTrak is a disgusting cash grab, and they should be sued for their incompetence, both via phone and their website. I wish I could give -5 stars. Fastrak is shame and pain. They wanted to pay me $78 instead of $8. An operator was trying to convince that it is my fault that I didn't provide my license plate. She was trying very hard until I said that I have an email from Fastrak that proves that I provided my car's license plate. Afterwards she agreed to charge me only $8. This is shame!!! Question to Fastrak managers: 1. Why I cannot search for violations only by using my car's license plate? How do I know whether I have any violation ticket? I can move and miss mails from Fastrak. 2. Fastrak is straight up criminal. Have a transponder and setup everything properly online. Sometimes it charges me correctly, sometimes it send me a ticket in the mail cause it doesn't recognize the transponder or the plate. Also who asked for these express Lanes. Way to make traffic more congested for everyone on small freeways like 237. It's literally just a way to extort people who don't own a Tesla out here. read more
