I shopped around for services (even contemplated trying to frame a bunch of things on my own) and came across this company's living social deal (in Nov. 2012). I thought they would jack up the prices to dilute the coupon, but it was so affordable that I got everything I wanted framed PLUS two additional pieces that I hadn't anticipated framing and was able to get a refund for one certificate (bought 3, used 2). The first place I went to wanted to charge me over $700 for 5 items. I paid 1/4 of what I would have paid had I gone to the first place (I used the living social coupon - for argument's sake - had I not used the coupon, I still would have saved almost 50% from the first place I went to). Second, the service was just as excellent as the value. The associate working at the time sat down with me for over an hour and walked me through each piece I had brought in to frame. She went through different mattes and frame colors/styles until we saw the combos that looked good. Also, I went on a Monday to pick up my frames, and even though they were only open for appointment only on Mondays, a man, whom I believe to be the store owner, let me pick up my framed work! The staff is polite, respectful, easy to talk to and bilingual. Not only did they understand the language of framing but also my needs and sensibilities. I had a large oil painting framed in a beautiful gold finish, five smaller frames perfect for the pulp magazine covers I had collected and one exist frame reworked so that it would fit the fruit crate label that was displayed. My reworked frame was completed under the guidelines that if it didn't work it was no ones fault -- which I felt was completely understandable and fine. I was taking a chance and understood the risks. But everything worked out better then I could have dreamed and it was worthwhile driving all that way. I would do it again. My last comment is that they are closed on Mondays.

Fast forward to an amazing Anthony Hurd print I've been holding on to for about two years. I finally decided to research a new frame shop and after reading several online reviews, I picked The Frame Place. I was worried since it had no yelp reviews, but other online reviews spoke to me in regards to being fair and professional. Must say, it's the truth and a fabulous pick! Locating the business was easy off of SW 87 Avenue. It is located in a unassuming strip mall with plenty of parking. The business is easy to find since the windows and door are covered with framing pictures, logos etc. Upon entering, there were customers at the counter discussing a framing job. Regardless, I was immediately greeted by the gentleman and advised he would be with me shortly. That was a good sign! My wait time was about 10 minutes since the people before me were doing a large framing job. While listening to their conversation, they obviously had done business with him before; another good sign. When my turn came up, I learned the gentleman at the counter was the owner, Fabio. He was professional, friendly and took his time giving me advice regarding my print and properly matching the frame. The choices were beautiful and very good quality. He has frames in groups of price points so the options within your budget are vast. Also available is either regular glass or a special UV protected glass. He also gave me the final price and option of paying a 50% deposit or the entire amount. He also gave me an estimate of about a week for completion. Btw....the price was fair and rivals other framing projects I've done in the past. A very nice surprise was receiving a text message with a picture of my finished frame advising me it was ready for pick up. This was certainly faster than I expected. Now for the best part, the framing job blew me away!!! The quality was outstanding and professional. The UV glass is obviously so much better than other frames I've done in the past and for the price, beyond fair!!! My only regret....why didn't I find this place sooner?? In summary, The Frame Shop does excellent work with fair pricing. Best part, you feel valued as a customer. This is my new "go to" framing shop!

Like all retail, it's a hit or miss with who you check out with.
