What an incredible experience. I have been wanting to learn how to handle a gun to make sure if I ever come across one or own one, I won't cause any accidents. I highly recommend this class! I took the beginner handgun course and loved every minute of it. My boyfriend actually signed me up for this class so that I could familiarize myself with firearms and be more comfortable handling them. I wasn't sure what to expect at first, but I was very pleased with the outcome. Trent, our instructor, covered all the basics of handgun safety. He went over everything step by step and was incredibly patient with everyone asking questions. Every aspect of the handgun was broken down for us. We learned the functions of every part of the gun, we learned about different calibers, how to load a magazine, how to properly and safely handle a firearm and so much more. I learned much more than in the other companies class and wish I had known about F.A.S.T. O.C. earlier. They give you full value and much more. If you are planning to buy a firearm, currently own a firearm, or you just don't feel comfortable being around firearms, take this class. I must admit when I first signed up for this class, I wasn't expecting much. I thought it was just going to be a couple of gunshop meat-heads that are trying to sell you on a bunch of their products and go over the the basic shooting methods that you can watch on YouTube. I was wrong. Trent, Madison, and Daniel went above and beyond. They teach you step by step everything you could possibly imagine to get you comfortable with handling a firearm. The instructors were extremely patient with answering all of our questions and they even stayed after the class to go over some additional questions we had. They spent some one on one time with us at the range and I must say, they can certainly backup what they are teaching in the classroom. I went to FASTOC after a long time away from firearms. I grew up around guns as a child, but they were mostly hunting rifles. The only handgun was a western style single action revolver. I took the CCW class with lance and it was a fantastic class. Above all, I appreciate lance's patience with his students. We had one student who was breaking in and using his firearm for the first time and lance had a lot of patience and never said anything a typical " gun guy" would say to a beginner such as "come on guy how don't you know X Y Z". The class structure is that of a seminar where the classroom portion lance will provide the technical legal descriptions and then provide scenarios for reference and then he opens the chapter to discussion and questions. It's not boring at all, lance does a great job at keeping his students engaged, he uses humor from time to time and is charismatic. For the range portion we went over drills on drawing, shooting technique, drills and qualification; this portion went by really quick. Depending on skill level will determine how the class as a whole covers more advance drills and techniques. Lance at all times treated his students with respect and professionalism. I really enjoyed his class and strongly recommend him, he isn't a certificate mill, lance will need you to show him that you understand the concepts explained through class discourse and implementing techniques in the range. Great experience here. Prices are great and they don't lack in service and expertise. I took the basic handgun course with Lance and Kylie. This was my first time ever shooting gun and as a young inexperienced women I was very intimidated. However, Lance's approach to teaching is easy going, yet knowledge and assertive when needed and he throws in some jokes and stories to make things interesting. I was extremely nervous during the range portion, but to my surprise I took off and really enjoyed myself. Having Kylie around to throw in her female perspectives was great as well and seeing these two shoot was impressive. Made me confident I came the right place for my training. Took the NRA Basic Rifle Course with instructor Hans Paul. I recommend this course for beginners or you need to refresh your skills. Class was about 4 hours long but went by fast. Learned about the components of an AR and how to properly clean my rifle. Got to shoot live rounds for about 30 minutes at a location near by with one of Hans guns. Can't wait to receive my packet! Over all a fun class to take and learn something new. read more

Don't go anywhere else. Trent, the senior instructor, is AMAZING. He takes his job seriously, AS HE SHOULD. I have known and seen so many "instructors" that just want to do the bare minimum and take your money. Some people want that, but not me. I don't understand why anyone would want that. I had a guy who was a competition shooter in the class and he still takes classes all the time. This is not a game people, remember that. You can always be better at something. This guy has tons of experience and is very informative. He is the type of instructor that all gun owners should have. I'd say, don't listen to the negative reviews as I have a feeling those people are jabronis that are just already full of themselves and believe that they have all the experience in the world when in reality they have none. This is for people who can humble themselves and accept the fact that you can ALWAYS LEARN MORE. I read that one person complained about his vape LOL. So first of all, he does not "blow it on the students", after he blows the smoke up in the air it pretty much vanishes. I don't smoke but I didn't think it was a big deal. I'm a gun owner, not a bitch. Secondly, I saw things about the building being "ghetto" and blah blah... but nothing about the actual instructing. People are such whiny babies these days. Maybe... focus on reviewing what you were actually supposed to learn and not the minuscule crap that your prissy ass can't handle. I'm also not boujie so even if I did think the building was "ghetto" (it's fn Orange CA dude, how ghetto can it get), I don't think where you learn great information really matters... AND we're gun owners, I dare you to do something to us when we walk out of that class. LETS BE REAL PEOPLE. So in short, if you're a whiny baby or delicate little snowflake who cares about everything other than the reason why you are actually there,... don't take this course. I signed up on line to take the CCW renewal class and was set to go last Friday night. However, I had some medical issues which would have made the class very difficult for me. Most folks in the service industry now have all kinds of rules and make you jump through a bunch of hoops to reschedule and then usually charge a cancellation fee. I was dreading the call to FASTOC on Friday afternoon because I just could not make it. I spoke with Lance who could not have been more kind and understating. I took the CCW course and was extremely satisfied with the knowledge I left with. Trent was my instructor and I have also since then done a qualification with a new firearm through him. It feels like he will be a life-long teacher for any questions or training I might need in the future. I love the classes! They teach you so much more than just how to handle and shoot a firearm safely and accurately. I've also taken private shooting lessons with Madison. I've always wanted to take my NRA Range Safety Officer course. Last weekend just happened to be the perfect weekend for it. I found FAST OC on the NRA site and was contacted by Lance with a small list to bring. When I showed up, I realized I was one of only two students for the day, this could be really good or really bad I thought. Lance introduced himself to us both and we got started. Keep in mind that the RSO course is a classroom only course so we were graciously reminded to bring coffee although donuts and coffee were also provided on the spot in the front office. Lance was light, cheery, and told the occasional joke while still keeping to the agenda, and staying on course. He really included some top tier TCCC medical training to us during lunch break that was important safety information that any Range Safety Officer should versed in. I was also very impressed with FAST OC's restrooms, as crazy as it sounds, because in the firearm industry most owners/instructors don't focus this much on the details but judging by the sweet patchouli, and readily available feminine products you could tell Lance and his team have some respectable Lady Sharpshooters that frequent his halls.
