First of all I would like to say the photos they share on website can be deceiving. I had ordered 3 plants lemon, orange and a kumquat Each one of them costed me ~100$ each and they were expected to be atleast 4 ft tall based on their website description. When I got the plant lemon tree was hardly 2 ft. As soon as I got it I reached out to them on Saturday for the cancellation of the other 2 plants as they have not been shipped yet. ( it was supposed to be shipped on 18 May week ) but Tuesday morning I got an email stating they cannot cancel the order as the shipment has already en route to my home. I ordered 28 trees ($800) to create a wind block. When the "trees" arrived, they were nothing but cuttings from older trees stuck literally in a cup of soil. Some did not even have roots established. Horrible business practice. The shrub was obviously not healthy is it died the same month so basically i paid 40.00 shipping fees for a 58.00 shrub that i could have probably got cheaper and healthier at a nursery. The shipment of our Albequina olive was disappointing on a number of fronts. 1. It was not delivered to the front door, nor our garage door. It was delivered to a back patio door and went unnoticed for 24 hours. The directions on the box told the delivery service to lay it down horizontally. Why? Sorry, I only have pedestrian plant knowledge. But the tree was probably shocked by our high altitude, cold overnight temps as its entire body laid flat on a cold stone wet patio. 2. As the picture demonstrates this small spindly tree is nominally 4-5 feet tall but it is not a gallon specimen. 3. It's been shipped with fruit (olives) on the tree. That seems counter to the information I read about this tree before buying, that the fruit should not be used for 3 years. It arrived with almost all of the leaves and branches frozen. And to top it off there was half of the roots showing. They didn't put enough soil in the container. When I contacted them they gave me a song and dance about it being dorment and would revive itself. No mention of the condition it arrived in. Well, it did revive itself and now I have a Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Green on the top but only small branches starting on the trunk. When I phoned to discuss, they informed me it was my fault for not telling them to hold the plants in their warmer climate before shipping. In addition, they sent me information via email stating that it would help me keep the two plants alive in my home before they were to be planted-which turned out not to be applicable at all. Lastly, the 30 day "grace" period for the plant's survival, kicks in upon the arrival date to your home, whether you can plant the shipment or not, due to the weather. I bought a Cold Hardy Avocado Tree from Fast Growing Trees largely because they promote a 1-year Alive & Thrive Guarantee. The tree arrived healthy and was thriving until the first frost. We protected it (burlap, deep covered porch ~12 feet, fans running to reduce frost settling) and then moved it into a heated greenhouse (~54°F overnight). It still declined and died. I filed a claim and provided the order number, multiple photos, and scratch test documentation. Support then asked a long set of questions (watering method and frequency, exact water amount each time, fertilizer type and schedule, light hours by time-of-day, and soil type) and said they cannot proceed without those answers. I do mind--I have a job, and this turned into an entire afternoon of back-and-forth just to access a "guarantee" they advertise heavily. When it's presented as "do you mind answering," but the claim won't proceed without it, it feels like an extra hurdle after the fact. I just recently had a terrible experience with them. I ordered 2 dwarf Japanese maples both came with most of the leaves off. One of them with one leaf on was obviously not going to recover . Their site states they will replace damaged trees.....WRONG! I called after jumping through many hoops and doing a scratch test (dry brown)!they encouraged me to give it some time. This was April. In July no growth still not one green bud. Called again, pictures, scratch test etc proving tree was dead. The other one was doing well. It is a hit or miss with their orders. Some do really well and then others die, but I think it has more to do with the variety or your garden conditions than them doing anything special to that plant. What I really hate about them is that they do not allow negative/honest reviews. There are some from maybe 2021 or older, but they only publish the good ones now. I recently wrote a review for their "dwarf" cavendish, even gave it 4 stars (to test my theory) saying how great they are but how disappointed I was that they are not really a dwarf variety and attached pics of them skyrocketing to 14-15'. While they did publish the review, they left out the pics. Honestly, I'm shocked they even published that review, esp since I eluded to the pics. But none of my reviews rated 1-3 made it on their website, and I wrote a lot of them. I don't like the deception and not being completely transparent.
