Out of all the pool halls in the area this is hands down my favorite. The walls are trimmed with wood panels and all vinyl wood floorings. There is also a reasonable amount of tvs across the room. The best part though is the tables and the players that come with it best in San Antonio from what I've seen. You get a nice variety of players competitive and casual. When it comes to service Jordan is hands down my favorite she is a perfect example of a sweet and spicy waitress. Always full of energy and she really does love her job and it shows. I have reported Eddies Tavern Embassy to the City of San Antonio, Tx for non enforcement of the City Ordinance banning vaping inside of the Billards Hall. I have spoken to the management and they continue to allow their friends to vape in the Billards Hall knowing that it is against the City Ordinance. Additionally, no one came to our table to offer us beverages, once again. We will not be playing in the APA Friday night league after next week. Our team pays $70 to play each week and we order food and beverages. I guess Eddies Tavern Embassy isn't interested in making money and is only interested in catering to college kids and not serious pool players. read more

Came out for a birthday party, had reserved tables and an entire corner for our group of 8 guests. Dak was absolutely attentive and made sure everyone was taken care of, came around just in time for refills and when we wanted to order. Embassy Oaks location. Every time I give this location a chance the servers ruin it somehow. Each time I come they seem like they don't want to serve me by taking forever to get to me when the place is nearly empty. This time they wanted ID and I for sure do not look under 21. Other bars all around the city have never asked me for ID unless for entry. Maybe it's the way I look or maybe they just prefer a certain kind of customer to explain their poor service. Everything was okay until we our server (Christina) started having an attitude. She wasn't friendly or welcoming and had poor communication with the people she was serving. I told her that I thought it was free for ladies and military and she told me it was $8 per person. I looked on the website and I've attached what I thought was the special. Apparently one location has specials and this one doesn't? Idk. I've worked customer service for over 10 years. I would have offered some sort of discount for the misunderstanding about the website. It's a pool hall with a lot of history. I don't play, but came to watch my stepson wife play. Social distancing was in place. Area looked clean. And they checked for face masks before you entered. Even the bar area was spaced so no large group was hanging around. I didn't get to try any Barbour. Not sure if they were serving. Bottom line? Nice pool tables, a ping pong table, several foosball tables, full bar, and the usual bar food. Saturday afternoons are only $3 per person for UNLIMITED pool! They have plenty of pool tables, it is smoke free, and they have a Touch Tunes jukebox so you can stay anonymous when selecting your eclectic music choices. They no longer have a shuffleboard table though. :( Early afternoon, they did not have any wait staff tending to the customers so you had to go to the bar for drinks or food. No problem though since they weren't busy. Not sure if they have wait staff later in the day or evening, etc. Soda's are $2.41 (no free refills) and domestic beer is only $2.50 - prices might be higher in the evenings though. read more

Usually I have nothing bad to say about F.E.'s. These last 2 weeks I have visited twice and each time there has been an issue. The "Potstickers" were barely luke warm, and the waitresses don't seem to care about their clientele. Every time I have gone the waitresses barely checked on my group. Also last time I went they cut our group off after our 8+ group ordered a round of shots because we apparently hit some limit or something. We were not partying hard at all. To me its beginning to feel more like the staff just wants you to play pool and nothing else. I do plan on coming back, 3rd times a charm. read more

This place is trash. Anthony thought I was drunk because I said crown AND apple and not crown apple. I don't drink that type of drink first of all, it was for my girlfriend so he cut us off. Then he said they were only supposed to serve two drinks max to each customer per hour and after receiving 6+ from him already after THREE HOURS he cut us off. He also served the couple next to us over 6 drinks and they got there about 30 minutes after us. Outside convenience or any other reason outside playing billiards this place would be the place to go. They got cool staff and pool players atmosphere. No vulgar "sharking" so the venue is clean. I've only been to 3 bars in SA ( The bend , Ice of fire and Fast Eddie's in Braun ) . Both of the other bars don't even compare to fast Eddie's . It's like a 2nd family over there and I always look forward to going back a few times a week . There's food , a vending machine , a lil basketball game , the best dart set up I've ever seen , over 20 pool tables , tv's everywhere you turn + a huge projector whenever you walk in , karaoke night on Tuesdays , they even sell pool cues and have raffles if you're interested in that too . Love the remodel with hardwood floors and additional TVs. However,management didn't put any funds into the bathrooms. Can only speak to the women's bathrooms, no funds put towards those.
