It's not exactly the traditional pit setup. But it's DAYMN good. The actual pit would've got em 5 stars. I get a hankering for pit beef about once a year. And there's nothing exactly like Maryland pit beef. It's a unique specialty. Large portions. Awesome sauces and sides. This place is always BUSY. Lotta happy and return customers. Some seating outside. Tip. If you're getting a takeout, make sure your order is correct. That's a recurring issue. Like I said. They're BUSY.

Half way through our DC to Philly drive, my wife and I needed lunch. Just off of 95 is Fast Eddie's Pit Beef, a top rated BBQ joint in a strip mall. They bring real southern charm to their restaurant. From the moment you walk in and see the open kitchen roasting beef, the staff are engaging and friendly. They'll direct you to order their famous pit beef sandwich and ask how you want your beef down (same scale as a steak). The sandwich itself is big and is thicker cuts of beef compared to a BBQ sandwich. It is a bit dry so use one of the many sauces they have on the counter (my favorite was honey BBQ). Their sides are good especially the mac and cheese and coleslaw. It's not healthy food, but it's perfect road trip food!

This place kind of missed the mark for me. I think the flies landing all over the counter with the horseradish and condiments and the overflowing trash can had something to do with it. Kind of grossed me out. Ordered a pit beef sandwich and fries and an order of burnt ends just to try them. The burnt ends were REALLY burnt. Not the juicy crispy kind you would get at a bbq place. They were tough and hard to chew. Then i noticed at the bottom were bits of burnt ham ends which were softer and better but still not something I would order again. The pit beef was cooked through, not rare like i ordered. A bit tough. Bread got soggy and fell apart. May have tasted better with the horseradish but considering it was only half covered with a lid and exposed to the flies i didnt take any. The fries were pretty good. They do a good job on hand cut fries. Malt vinegar is a available...but the flies again made me not interested. Overall it seemed like the kind of place that would not get a great health inspection. Looked like a good spot so I tried it once. But I wouldnt enjoy a return visit sorry to say.

Best pit sandwich in Cecil County, Md!!

Best pit beef in the area, prove me wrong!! Combos are the way to go for this place, they offer your choice of meat(s), some bombin' ass fries, and choice fountain beverage. Sauces are not included on sandwich, so make sure to grab on the way out, it definitely adds to the flavor profiles from the Beef/Turkey they have available... Medium is personal preference, but overall an awesome place for afternoon lunch craving!! Please, if you can do one thing, TIP heavily, a lot of TLC goes into making some flavorful meats!

Been a customer for 20 years and it's still amazing!! Huge portions, great food, fast service, pretty lowkey restaurant just off 95.

Well, there is no seating where the music is not loud so they shouldn't even be offering it. I've never been in a restaurant where the live music is almost deafening. It was out of control. I don't know how anyone was able to sit inside and have a conversation because you had to yell at the person beside you. Once we were able to get a table (outside in the cold since the music was so loud) and a waiter finally came we ordered food. Skipping ahead...I ordered the nachos. If you like cold queso out of a jar then this is the dish for you! No exaggeration, the queso was completely cold like it had been spooned out of the jar from the shelf. Unreal. Add to this, the dock that backs up to the restaurant kept catching fire. I kid you not. There was some loose pipe or cable that caught fire at least twice while there. Stay away from this place!

But she failed to notice that six of us received their entrées while my wife didn't get hers. My wife had to flag her down after a few minutes and ask. Clearly either she forgot to put it in or the kitchen forgot to make it, because the rest of us were half done by the time my wife's food arrived. Food was mixed. My crab bisque had good flavor, but only a few shreds of crab meat. My wife's Jazzy Jeff soup also had very little crab in it. The crab cake was advertised as having lump crabmeat. It didn't. The fries were good, but the Parmesan cheese mentioned on the menu seemed to be MIA. When our server brought boxes for leftovers she also dropped the check, even though we haven't asked for it. Either they don't have dessert or we were never offered it. We enjoyed the setting and loved spending time with our friends on a lovely end of summer day. But we won't rush back.

Snatcher's is great. I mean, man what a name. Sitting outside gives you not only creek visibility,…read morebut also creek sounds. Yes, you get the sounds of a forest stream in the background, which - let's face it - we all find oh so soothing. It's up there with sitting by the window on a lazy summer afternoon with rain lightly pattering outside. That patter, you know the one. The food is, well, it's creek food. Food that you could envision eating by a creek. That means fried haddock, black and bleu bacon cheese burgers, and the driest looking cheese steak I've ever laid eyes on. Oh, and patty melts. If you can look past the mosquitos, which I suppose you could say is part of the charm, then Snatcher's Creekside is a perfect catch. As an added bonus to everything you've just read, I have just three words: off street parking. This is actually huge since the further you go north on Main Street, the parking gets scarce and private lots charge a buttload. Also, how can you not like their motto? "Hey, we're Snatcher's. Come 'n git it." How I adore small town charm. Ok, that's not really their motto, but I swear I saw it on a t-shirt when I was down there.

Located in a super cute small town along the water with on street parking along the main drag way, as well as a designated parking area. There is indoor seating, as well as outdoor seating. This place gets busy and you will figure out why once you come. We did have reservations so call if possible. The menu is chock full of choices. There's a wide range of offerings so you will find plenty of options. Bread and butter starts your lovely journey into taste bud adventures. We started with their famous Vinny's crab balls which were tasty little gems. For food, we ordered the prime rib special which was absolutely massive and cooked to perfection. The chicken Chesapeake was deliciousness. Also ordered the liver and onions which was just as amazing as the previous too. If you like liver get this!!! Every dish came with two sides. Baked potatoes, sautéed zucchini and fried zucchini (get this) were ordered. Also had the cole slaw (so good) and some tasty sweet potato fries. There wasn't one thing out on our table that wasn't good. Seriously. The value you get for what you pay is astonishing. Literally. No notes. You will be shocked at the quality and quantity of what you are getting for what you are paying. They do have a tempting dessert menu/case. We couldn't fit it after these portions! We took some to go boxes that had enough leftovers for another meal. Should have gotten dessert to go. Don't make our mistake! Go out of your way for this place!! You will be a regular once you have this dining experience. Laid back and down home with some fabulous food.
