Generally I do my own repair, since the service monkeys generally staffing area shops are not to be trusted. Long form: I purchased a Super Tenere from MOM's (Manchester NH) when they had the Demo Truck visit and a leftover on fire sale. That dealership is much too far away for any sort of convenience, so I am a customer of Billerica for my services. These guys are straight, honest, hold good hours, and miracle of miracles, have Yamaha oil filters in stock when I need them.

"it's what they have to do to all their bikes, new and used to get them ready for sale"... but then... conveniently... when you go to pick up your bike, more than a week after papers are signed... "they didn't have time to clean it" ... so much for that PREP!!!! avoid this dealership and anyone affiliated, Manchester HD, etc.

My experience with Middlesex Power Sports / Old Outboard Marina or what ever else Mario is calling himself now, was exactly the same as other reviews you will find on the web if not worse. Mario had my boat for no less than...wait for it...4 1/2 years (not months, years). During which time I stopped in many many times to check on its status. I had to stop in as Mario does not take or return calls. In fact most of the time you can't even leave a message as his message are full. Twice when I visited I found he had been evicted from his place and the boat along with most everything else was gone. Tracking him down to his new location was both time consuming and as anxiety packed as you can imagine. At one point he did have it finished (although not tested) and was delivering it too me only to have the back engine cover fly off on rt 495. Mario did not lock the cover down and it was caught by the wind and flew off. This was a truly rookie mistake that could have easily killed someone. This is a much longer story than I have time to write here but after all the pain, anguish and time, Mario ended stiffing me for $200....sigh. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BOAT HERE AND ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PAY ANYTHING UP FRONT!

The template pieces were all laid out, but that was it. Co-founder Luke had me read and sign all the releases first, and asked about my experience with welding etc. Being a Veteran myself, Luke as well, and the non-profit supporting Veterans and First Responders, he also made sure to ask me if loud noises or anything would bother me. Every step was explained and demonstrated before I was able to do it, and as nervous as I was at first, it quickly went away knowing he took my safety, the safety of others as well as their shop very seriously. Co-founder Ben also provided some muscle when I was unable to bend the metal myself. In just over 2 hours I had sanded, measured, re-measured, bent , hammered and welded together a really cool one of a kind 5-sided barn star. It was definitely something different to do and it was a really cool and fun experience. 5 stars !

They managed to get them on by bending them into place. They charged $30 total and spent at least 45 minutes solid working on the bike. They were as perplexed as I was by the fact that this bike had just one brake on the handlebars to control both the front and back. After I was home, I read all over the documentation, "the front wheel appears as if the brake doesn't lock, that's just how this bike is designed." :P They basically dropped everything they were working on just to help us out. I wouldn't buy accessories here, but this is a decent bike shop for repairs!
