Seems to be a lack of organization and professionalism. I tried contacting them a couple weeks ago to see if they could do some minor alterations on a dress I was planning on wearing for my wedding - for context, it isn't a wedding gown, it's just a cheap white sundress. I needed around the bust taken in a bit, some padding sewn in, and a longer slip sewn underneath. I had called on a day they were closed and the voicemail said to either leave a text or a voice message and the mailbox was full so I decided to try another time. A week went by because life got crazy and I tried calling again and got the same voicemail greeting so I sent a text instead. I didn't expect a text back that day but another week went by and I hadn't heard anything so I tried calling again (again on the closed day but left another text just in case I forgot to reach out the following day). I actually got a response shortly after saying that the internet and phone must've had problems (totally understandable given the storms last week), but said that if it was something small, they may be able to help out up until the weekend because they were going on vacation for four weeks. I responded that I had a couple days off and was available a couple early mornings before then, sent pictures while wearing the dress and explaining what I was hoping to have done, and I made it very clear that I understood if they weren't able to get me in but that I would like to know as soon as possible (so that I could reach out to someone else if need be). I did not get a response afterwards, but gave it a couple more days. I tried reaching out Wednesday afternoon to follow up, couldn't get through on the phone yet again, and sent another text instead but never got a response. I understand being busy, I understand things tend to get hectic the closer you get to having to temporarily close your business for some personal time, but at the very least a yes/no would be appreciated. Or perhaps clearing out the voicemail so that clients can get ahold of you. In the time since I received my dress I could have contacted somebody else to set something up, but I was hoping for this business because they're so close to home. Maybe if I need something fixed up in the future, I will try them again and change my rating, but given their high rating, I was really disappointed with my experience. read more

I had a lot of alterations that needed to be done on the dress for my daughters wedding. I wanted it perfect, plus I spent quite a bit on the dress, so I wanted a real professional. They did such a wonderful job, it was like a custom fit when they finished. My husband also took his suit there and was quite pleased. The mother and daughter are so personable and nice. I happened to get dizzy while in the shop and they were so accommodating and helpful. I will definitely go back when I need a future seamstress. Great job! read more

I had my wedding dress altered here and they did an amazing job! These women are high-quality professionals. I've been meaning to leave my review for months. My dress was very complicated to alter but they made it perfect. They hid the alterations too so no one could tell. Seriously, amazing work and all under a super tight timeline because I was late taking my dress in. They're also very responsive and nice to work with. I had a bridesmaid dress altered here. It ended up being over $100. No big deal, I get it. I went to pick up my dress on the day it was promised and it wasn't ready. They asked if I could come back the next day. So I did, I quickly tried it on and they promised it was good, and I wasn't even completely zipped and buttoned up. Since they were busy, I figured "okay, they know what they're talking about. I told them exactly what I wanted, so it should be good". I take it home and it's way too short, when I specifically asked for more length that it would drag, and now it barely covers my feet standing. And the other issues I asked to be fixed were altered, but not to how I needed them to be fixed. So they're still a problem. If they had zipped and buttoned me up while I was there instead of rushing off to do other things and telling me it was good, I would have noticed these problems and not have felt terrible in a dress that I paid over $100 to feel better in. Their system seems inefficient. The two times I was there, they couldn't find other people's clothes and had to continuously ask for their name and what the article of clothing was because they had misplaced it. Twice. read more

Once again Visnja comes through! This time i was able to get our pageant dresses and outfits there earlier this year. i had 4 things that needed altered and one that needed pressed. Once again recommendations were made to help keep the costs down and they were all spot on when we picked them up. Of course we ended up with a last minute change to one of the dresses and they were able to make a recommendation and accommodate it- and of course it wasnt an easy fix-i felt bad asking, however it was the right decision and once again turned out perfectly. The shop is so accommodating and quick and easy to work with, and reasonably priced. i am always amazed at how perfectly the alterations turn out. Visjna and her staff are truly artists in their craftsmanship! read more

This will be my first post on Yelp and the reason being is that I haven't really encountered any restaurant or other services on here that has exceeded my expectations to the point that I'd want to spend time writing a review for it. But, alas, I've found a place worth of writing a review for. I believe my first encounter with Visnja (the owner) was probably 2-3 years back when I just graduated from college and needed help tailoring my suits and dress shirts for work. Visnja was so accommodating on my first visit and gave great guidance on what she can and could not do. She points out all the nicks and crooks to your clothing and gives recommendation on how it would look and fit nicely. When she went through everything with me during this first visit and subsequently when I saw the final product, I was IMPRESSED! Everything she did made the dress shirt and suit jackets seem like it was hand made tailored for me (Please note there's obvious limitations to what a tailor can do and not everyone can get the perfect fit based on what you're already purchase...i.e. if you're a guy with a slim body and bought a normal suit/dress shirt you shouldn't be expecting a perfect fit without at least having the suit/dress shirt you already bought being the slim fit type). I've moved to New York since but every time I need a visit to a tailor I make an effort to come back to Ohio (During family visits, etc.) to get Visnja to do my tailoring. Needless to say, the prices in NYC are quite extravagant and compared to what Visnja can do, this is pretty much a steep discount! Love the owner's passion for her job and the final product she puts together. Absolutely must come here for your tailoring needs if you're around the area! read more

Had to have a faux fur jacket taken in, with lining. Did an awesome job taking in the sides and the arms, looks like it came from the original company. Taking another coat this weekend to get the zipper replaced. Very nice people and affordable. read more
