Terrible so far. I ordered two doors in August and promptly wired about 50% as a deposit. It is now January, and I still have zero doors, but as a consolation, I have a few email promises/excuses. I requested a refund but was told that a refund was not an option. Anyone in Florida that is looking to get the windows in their home replaced, stay away from FAS Windows & Doors. They do not stand behind their work that their installers do. The caulking on the outside of our home looks like it was done by a 10yo with a paint brush. It cost us $11,000 for the entire job, and they told us they would not fix the problem (even after admitting that it could have been done better) and insulted my wife and I with an offer for a $100 gift card. I contacted a local handyman/contractor and asked what it would cost to fix. After reviewing our windows we was shocked by how horrible the install looked, and informed us that it would be at least $2000 to fix what was done. I asked the installation manager Jacob who called me, if their owner John Wilding, would be pleased to have the work done at our home as representation of their company, and he said... FAS has done a horrible job w their product. Buyer beware if you take a loan out w their finance company who is Service Finance Company. They are under contract to pay FAS when the product is on site. Doesnt matter what condition they are in. Service Finance in turn wants payment from the home owner, before the project is complete. Smells of a scam to me! More windows have issues then not. To include broken windows, non operable latches or takes 50lbs of pressure to operate, stained glass, scratches in the paint on the frames, Stains on the glass between the panels. We purchased an entry system - door, side lights & hardware 10 years ago 2014 - THAT IS WHY THIS REVIEW IS SO IMPORTANT!! They did a great job with installation and we were so pleased with how it turned out. We have thoroughly enjoyed our "new" entry ever since. Twice since then, the most recent being yesterday, the locking mechanism has gotten difficult or squeaky so we called them up to fix it. They did and proudly reminded us of the lifetime warranty. Mike came out yesterday and made it work like it was brand new. He was pleasant and professional. When he left he reminded me that if we needed anything to give them a call and they will fix it again. So, after 10 years, it has only had an issue twice, it still looks beautiful and if I have an problem they will come right out an make it good. It doesn't get any better than that! read more

We moved into a 22 year old home. Didn't really think to look closely at the windows as it was a nice home in a nice neighborhood. Plus it was 2021 and homes were flying off the market if they ever even got listed. Shortly after moving inwe discovered they were single pane windows.Leaky and not energy efficient. We called multiple companies. FAS seemed to have the best value for the money. 21 window replacements and 2 sets of patio doors replaced. Sooo much better!!! Great, responsive customer service. Our Odyssey began when we ordered windows from this most despicable disreputable horrible company! This is a very long story so bear with me we ordered the windows months previous to the start date of March 7th 2022! We should have known better when we answered the door to two disheveled gentlemen that looked like they had been hired out of the home Depot parking lot! Again we should have known better who comes to a window install on a two-story house with no ladders!! It's a very good thing that my husband is a painter by trade and had extension ladders that these two gentleman could borrow! I was not happy and told my husband right from the start I didn't have a good feeling about this especially considering not 15 minutes into it they shattered a window and my front entry foyer causing shards of glass to go everywhere including under my saltwater fish tank!! Is the job progressed things got more dicey including the gentleman being told be very very careful with the hardwood floor in the master bedroom as it was just installed again my husband is a painter so we had a lot of materials that we could use to cover the floor for them which we did! My husband has pictures and videos of his work he was not happy about having to do it but we did it so our floor didn't get damaged haha! Fast forward to two days into the job when the gentleman left for the evening my husband and I retired to our room and noticed that the paper that had been put down in front of the window was shredded when my husband lifted it right under the shred Mark was a terrible hideous gouge in our brand new hardwood floor we notified FAS Windows only to be given the runaround we were told that we needed to find somebody to repair the damages if that's not the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard of!! We have since found a installer that was willing to do the repair we let Miss Honeycutt the operations manager know of the cost and we were laughed at in our faces fast forward to today where there is no no materials to repair or replace the floor we're still getting the runaround from FAS and a couple of days ago we received a threatening text message that we needed to sign paperwork to pay for the window install which by the way is still not finished the installers the original installers left in a half because my husband and I refuse to sign that the windows were satisfactorily installed they never gave us our welcome packet and nobody from FAS has been back to put in the pieces since the windows have finally after being failed three times by the city of Sanford for shoddy workmanship not putting tempered glass in the bathroom behind the tub not putting tempered glass in in areas that we paid for that were apparently too low to the ground and was a code requirement they still have yet to finish the job and yet they are threatening us to pay up or they were going to sue us or Lena's or take us to collections and yet they have not fixed the damages that their subcontractors did nor have they finished the install so it would be my recommendation to stay away from this company if anybody wants pictures or videos I have plenty of them please feel free send me an email at WP hanger 69@aol.com I'd be more than happy to share all the pictures and videos and the text messages that we've received. We paid thousands of dollars for exterior doors, 2 double and 1 single. Around the summer of 2020 the weather stripping started coming off of all doors, we have a warranty. It took months for someone to come out and the he did it was the wrong color (obviously didn't look at our order), then we heard nothing. I called, emailed and the secretary months later and she said she would get it off the delivery truck, this is 2021 now, and again it was the wrong one, the wrong size. Now we are into 2022, nothing, no return email, no honoring our warranty, nothing. Stay away from them. Started calling to find estimated delivery and was told they haven't been ordered yet by Bob yesterday and another person this morning. I would give FAS Doors and Windows 5 stars but they lack in the communication department. The windows and doors are good quality and look great. Nevin and his crew were absolutely great. I have had several contractors over the years and several were terrible and I had to have the project reworked. Nevin goes that extra mile on each and every installation. If you choose to have FAS do your windows and doors make sure you request Nevin and his team, you will not be sorry. Be prepared for a long wait for your windows to arrive, they estimated 17+ weeks mine was in excess of 28 weeks. I believe in good communication between company and customer.... FAS lacks in this department, if I did t email the project manager once a month I would never have heard anything from them. There factory needs to have a process change and maybe find other companies to get their product from that is quicker to provide the materials. The factory did not ship some of the final trim so we have to wait on that ( hope it doesn't take 28 weeks). Overall FAS had the color I wanted and their PGT windows will out last us. If you are looking for quality windows and doors FAS is the company to go with. I got estimates from 6 companies and I'm glad I chose FAS. read more

The work at our house consisted of 3 large sliding glass doors and the front door. We signed the contract in October of 2018 and the job was just recently finalized in JUNE of 2020. It has taken almost 2 years to complete this project. FAS came to our house more than 16 times (that's 16 days that one of us had to take off work to accommodate) to fix their mistakes. When the first installment began we found out that the order for the screens was never even placed. When final payment was due, I had to fight for a very small 5% discount which amounted to very little in comparison to what we went through. I requested a quote from this company to replace 2 exterior doors at my house. A rep showed up only to ask us to stop by their show room and pick the doors we wanted so he can provide an estimate. The next day we went to the show room and selected what we wanted. One week after, we still had not received the quote so we called the rep and the office. The next day we still has not received the quote so we called again. After the 3rd called, the rep sent a text message with a number 4 times higher than the other 2 companies we asked quotes. No formal quote on an email or anything like it, just a text message with an amount. Never heard back from them after that. Very unprofessional! Now they replied to this review saying they tried to contact me because I was not on their system and didn't hear back from me. I have no voicemail or email from them. Had six windows and a sliding door replaced with high impact material ones by FAS last year. Everything looked and worked well until last week that I had a hard time to open the sliding door, but lifting and pulling hard make the door finally open. I did look at the system over and opened and closed it for a while and didn't have any further problem until yesterday 03/24/2020. Mistake, I trusted the door and went outside and for my big surprise the sliding door lock me out and nobody was in the house. On my way out I opened like every time, went out shut the door behind me to keep the cool air in and a nightmare started. I was in sandals and like that I claimed the fence that has a gate with a lock and the key inside the house I hurt my hand going down, I opened the garage door with the keypad and almost broke the door inside the garage to gain access to the house. Once inside I try to open the sliding door and nothing. I had to pull and push the sliding door until the part that the system locks in to break down and fell to the floor. I replace that part again with a couple of screws. Conclusion, if you get or have one of this heavy, high impact sliding door make sure that you have another way to get access to your house. read more

We decided to use FAS WIndows for our new windows through out the whole house. I do not recommend this company because of the following reasons: The quality of service was not there. We started this project on 9/6 and didn't finish until 9/21! While we were able to express the issues that we encountered, we dealt with the same installers that created the problem. If we requested to use booties to protect our flooring, that didn't happen. They would leave our home a mess. They broke our window sill, which they will replace soon, but the attention to detail was a failure. The window size was not done correct on most of our windows which they had to repair with caulking and wood ( that they were not prepared to treat). We are being charged $18,000 for quality/service that we didn't get! I requested to speak with the owner, hasn't happened. We used FAS again for patio doors. Could not be any more pleased with how they turned out or the customer service that we received. Seriously, top notch. Dave is a fabulous salesman, always there to answer questions and is extremely honest. Mick did the final measure and really made my day, very fun guy. My two installers were AMAZING and they cleaned up every speck behind them, and because the new doors were smaller than the original ones, really did a great job framing them out and taking their time to put nice trim up. The same thing happened over and over. We call, they come and measure, and promptly ignored the problem. It's been almost two years and nothing has been done. This would have been a whole home replacement running around $15k. In home consultation went very well, went to the showroom the next day to look at some of the hardware. Left meeting asking for an electronic copy of the quote and for salesman to wait a week till I was finished shopping around. Salesman calls and texts several times during the week and never sends a copy of quote. After a week and three requests a quote is emailed. It is missing a window and incorrectly sizes two other windows by over a foot. The quote is also for about $400 more than quoted in person. Try to contact salesman, no response. Contact sales manager, he said he would contact me the next day. Two days later he contacts me and says he will review the quote and get back to me in a day or two. Six days later I decide to hire ANYONE except FAS. *** RESPONSE: Your internal review doesn't mean anything if you not only don't communicate with the customer but begin with the wrong information. Sales guy was okay... Signed contract on 2/20/2015. They told me 4-6 weeks. 16 WEEKS LATER!!! In fact, just this morning I received a phone call from FAS windows so that they could set up the final inspection with the City of Orlando. Today is August, 21st. Since signing the contract it has been a total of 182 days or 26 weeks or 6.5 months. YES... HALF OF A YEAR!!! When they did finally do the work I ended up wishing they hadn't touched my home! The windows were not installed properly, the caulk job was a joke, and they cut all the wires to my alarm system. Yep... cut the wires. They have had to come back a couple of times to fix their mistakes and each time they were in my home both my husband and I did not have a good experience. The sales person provided the highest quote and refused to negotiate. Despite this we went with them based on the great reviews. They estimated 4-6 weeks until they could install them but it took 10 weeks even though I accepted their earliest available appointments. After installation they refused to honor the payment terms they had provided in writing because they were on a separate document from the contract. The sales person then tried hard to pitch me on the fact that he never offered those terms, despite the fact that I had them from him in writing in an email. The work they did was acceptable. I have no major complaints about the final product. The path to get there was long and now I feel cheated. FAS is not worth the 5-star premium they charge. Best to go somewhere else. read more

Emailed for a quote to do a repair. I was told they don't do repairs on windows they didn't install and will only replace windows at a 3 window minimum. My house is only 2 years old, and just out of the builder warranty and no one in town will help make a repair to one window. read more

The only reason I am giving two star is the installer did amazing job with the doors and windows. It all started out good and the understanding with everything going on there would be delays with productions of all windows and 3 doors. After awhile we decided to call to check up on the order of the windows and doors, that when it started going downhill. We had called multiple time due to waiting and not receiving calls back. Never call on a Friday because no one will ever pick up the phone, even call both winter park and FAS Corporate number. When someone did answer they were very plight and would get the same story they will be in the next week or two, then we will get a call. Then we had problem when my wife calls and leave voicemails no one will ever call her back just me. (Why we were calling was to figure when we would have to take time of work due to install.) We finally get a call to set up a week for installation and instructed someone would calls us the week before to verified everything and that didn't even happen, so we called the sale rep we work with, and he stated he would make sure someone would call us which never happen. We had to pay the company when the windows and doors were installed but no one ever call the week before and we I tried calling the sale rep the Monday of installation, he never called me back on how to pay. But FAS was quick to cash that check after writing it and giving it to the installer. The installer showed Monday morning super nice and professional about everything and did amazing install job. The did point out before installing the front had damaged, so he took pictures with some of the damaged with missing screens. (Which was no big issue when install) I was told that the door would be replaced, and someone would contact us after inspection to finish pulling the rest of the hardware on the doors and windows on due to the inspection. I had talk to multiply people with FAS and got multiply stories from the screen being order, someone will contact us to finish up installing the hardware. Then being told no order anything I will have to call a sub-contractor to finish installing hardware and fix screen. Then getting text wanting pictures of the front door of the damaged which the installer already had. Then when I have call and try to talk to upper management to help figure what the hell is going on surprising the phone disconnect when transferring which is no surprise.
