I always love trying new places so I was excited to try this place based on other people reviews, and by scanning their intricate menu. They have an "Italian" theme to their menu but a lot of their dishes are very unique which includes their specialty flatbread pizzas. I came with my mom & aunt for an early lunch so it was not busy at all and we got our pick of seats. There is indoor & outdoor seating, but I think a lot of people come in from the beach and get food to-go which you are able to do as well. I noticed most people came in for a slice of the flatbread which looked very good. The inside is very clean and well decorated. I love the wood flooring, and the windows so there is a lot of light coming into the restaurant. I ordered the "Trawler" panini which had shrimp, avocado, romaine, tomato and cocktail sauce. This was very disappointing. First off, it was a panini and usually paninis are pressed and warm...this was not. Also I got maybe two shrimp on the whole sandwich. Without that cocktail sauce, the sandwich was very bland as well. For $10 I did not think it was worth it at all, and they should maybe include a side such as chips or fries for that price. I also got a side order of bapo which were cold basil pesto marinated potatoes. Now these were very good! I wish they gave that to me with my sandwich though...they served it to me as an appetizer. My mom got the faro salad which was very green and lacked ingredients. It had very few chickpeas. It was mostly greens. She also got the focaccia...it was ok, nothing to hoot and holler about. My aunt got the best meal of all of us. She had the eggplant parmesan which she said was very good. She also got a canoli to go which looked very good. Overall, I was not thrilled with the food, but will have to come back and try the flatbreads since that's what it seems most people are going for. We ran up to Faro when the rain hit the beach for a quick bite to eat. There was a low top available, but we were offered a high top... with our 3 year old. We should have gotten the memo and turned around then, but it was raining and dragging a toddler back outside in that didn't seem like an option these exhausted parents wanted to tackle. I understand the vibe of this restaurant isn't one catered to children, but the menu is literally sandwiches and pizzas. There's absolutely no reason you can't throw a kids grilled cheese and kids sized pepperoni pizza on the menu. It's like the folks of Faro think parents are an alien population. However, I will say, the food was good... for the parents at least. But I imagine Faro could drum up more business if they'd try to be ever so slightly inclusive to the 50% of the population that's raising tiny humans. read more

We were visiting family in the area for Thanksgiving and wanted to grab a quick glass of wine with a view. The staff were very personable and they recommended a lovely red. They gave us a sample of flatbread while we drank our wine, and it was also delicious! It was Greek style with kalamata olives and artichoke hearts, and the crust was nice and thin and crispy. I know staffing is difficult; however, we placed an online order for two pizzas. The online order said it would be read by 5:15, an hour after order placed. So we called and asked if it could be any sooner they said no. We arrive at 5:00 and there is not anyone dining in the restaurant. What we found was kitchen staff and waiters joking around, acting childish and having fun. When we have them our name, the hostess said. We told you 5:15 and the guy in the kitchen says "geez". Mind you no one dining in and only one other ticket for takeout on the counter. Attitude is 1/2 of the business and they fail. Our experience is that place only runs right when the owners are here. We went there tonight and frankly place sucked. Customer service is a joke, at least with staff that we dealt with; totally clueless. Staff did not even know what they were serving us, we had to tell them we got wrong food. A salad should not take half an hour till it is served to us.Place is loud which tells me owners are too cheap to buy right items to dampen noise. As for food portions, go somewhere else, promise you will leave hungry, save your money and don't get any of appetizers you will be shocked at how small portions are. This was our favorite place to eat until this year. Something has changed, the last two visits, March and May 2023, we had stodgy pizza dough which had not risen. We would usually take leftovers home for next day snack, but not these last two visits, left half the pizza. Staff is great, but the disappointing food means we won't be back. read more

I came with a group of two other couples to enjoy a nice evening out. Their health and sanitation measures are impeccable despite this strange post-COVID world. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful, and overall we had a stellar dining experience. I'm kind of shocked with some of the lower reviews. If there were issues in the past, I can assure you that they've worked through them now based on our visit. We had a couple of pizzas to share for the table as well as the charcuterie board... and we all just couldn't stop eating - it was so good! We are sitting here right now and this is a horrible experience. We were at the bar for a very long time and not one server said one word to us. After an uncomfortably amount of time, we finally asked if this was someone's station. The person said "well we all are serving this station". We ordered a bottle of wine and appetizer. It took a very long time to arrive. Then, we ordered a beer, the foam took up half the glass, I commented on that and the server ignored me. We will not be coming back. A few friends told me this was a really good new restaurant in Flagler Beach. Its only a few blocks away so we went this evening. I was told this was a genuine Italian restaurant. So I ordered a Caesar salad. It was a big disapointment. I also ordered a slice. The pizza was good. The crust was crispy and tasted great. I will be giving Faro a second chance. So I normally go to Faccia in Palm Coast. Went and grabbed ice cream from Sally's and decided to go visit their new place across the street. Walked in to place an order and was completely ignored and was told that it would just a minute. The next couple of customers walked and was served right away as I was left standing there. After she was done, I asked the girl if she got my order and she told me no, I'm sorry I didnt get it as she was busy putting something in their system.
