Horrible, rude, Steff... Constantly rude and just unfriendly to the public. I don't know understand how any of these people work in a customer service-based industry... Not only that online it says it is open at 6 AM. It is open at 9 AM... I went to the post office with over 12 boxes falling out of my hand. No one would help me. Two reasons why you should chose UPS over this branch: 1. Manager shouting at a customer trying to open the door after they are closed. She shouted "Brittany, Call the police on this thing!". Literally treating her like dirt. 2. If you forgot to tape your label onto the parcel they won't help out. In this situation UPS would tape it on no questions asked. read more

Sometime a wonder .....is it just me or the ppl who work at a post office are so rude. That work here are so rude. I've come here several times had to dryly ignore there attitudes. It's just unnecessary when I ask a question it's always with a sarcastic answer. It's take a lot to not want stretch over that counter and snatch them by their dirty, wrinkled collars. They really need a customer service adjustment, the government needs to let these rude counter post office clerks go. And hire ppl who are energetic and can appreciate working in customer service. Just because you work for the government it doesn't mean I can be a jerk because you looking forward to retire and get that check attitude. These people just made my mom feel horribly because she's from another country and doesn't know how to mail a package. The service is terrible Terrible, my worse experience I ever had in the post office today ,the lady names Cather behind the counter who service me was really rude, I'm mailing a box today in this post office , after I finished the processing I put my card to the credit card machine, and the lady starting screaming at me from nowhere , she was increase she's volume to screaming at me to remove the card, it's really scare me , and to the end, she threat me , she says my box wouldn't be mailing to anywhere even I'm already paid it , what she try to do ? Is that mean she will throw out my box ? I don't know , I just feel no safe when I mailing the things over there . I sent an order to a customer in this delivery area in a bubble mailer. They would not deliver it and made the customer drive to their post office and pay more postage. I mail hundreds of these mailers all over the country and this is the ONLY one the post office demanded more postage for. It's an envelope, and they want to charge for a package. Ripoff! read more

It's awesome to find a post office where I don't have to talk to an agent through a glass window, I don't have to pull up on a handle to drop my package to be weighed and I can peruse through a retail area complete with greeting cards, bows and wrapping paper! Friendly agents, nobody growling "next" and nobody taking their sweet time because the line is long and they don't feel like dealing with the public today. Farmingdale Post Office - Front entrance - Post Offices Near Me - Farmingdale, New York

This is one of the slowest and least friendly post offices I've ever been to. I know it's not usually a stellar, super awesome fun time, but lately I walk out of there as annoyed. The clerks are usually gabbing away about other customers while you're waiting and the line is building, so it's a little off-putting. One of the workers, I think his name is Michael, is the biggest complainer of all of them and so far the most rude. A man came up to him with a question of some sort while this charmer was counting out his drawer, and he said, "First of all, I'm counting. You gotta get on line." Nice customer service! This same guy has blatantly screwed up my transactions before. Nice things about this branch: free municipal parking lot right across the street, it's open until 5:30 (though the whole world comes in here right after 5 after they get off of work), sometimes they have the radio on to distract you while you wait. I'll probably try to find another branch nearby that doesn't make me feel like I'll be the next target of their gossip if I speak up. read more

We had to mail a package out of state on Saturday, so off to our local post office we went. We needed a box and packing supplies as well. Everything we needed was right there and it only took a few minutes. My hubs left the receipt there, which is helpful to have because it contains tracking info, etc. What really impressed me is that in my mailbox on Monday I found our receipt from our package. Someone took the time to send it to us, how cool is that? Thank you Farmingdale P.O. !!! read more

My computer forced me to pick a rating star but does not give an opportunity to pick negative stars. That is where I am at with the customer service "counter" people. Attitudes that are consistently negative. And for lack of a better word they are down right "snotty" I don't want to hear about your weekend or anything else that is going on in your life. The Farmingdale post office of delivery system gives the worst service ever. We have not had a regular mail person in several years. There are times we do not get a delivery until 6:00-6:30 at night if at all. This week has been even worse. We have the postal service app showing the mail we will be getting. We don't, at times get that piece of mail for days. This past week we received mail around 7:00 pm. The postman complained that he had to cover for other delivery who did not want to deliver packages where they had to climb steps and exert their abilities. Shameful. Yesterday our block received no mail at all. When I called the post office, their excuse was that people are on vacation. Again shameful!! I will never use this post office again. The worker there Kathy is one of the rudest and nastiest employees I have ever come across in my life. I asked a question and got glared at. I stood to the side to fill out paperwork while she took another customer. I said can you tell me quickly where the tracking number is? She told me "read it". By the way the tracking number was not on it. I wrote to the post office in Washington DC. I would guess nothing will be done about it. read more

this place has flat out lost 2 of our packages and broken another two. our packages arrive chewed up and many look as though they have been opened and repackaged. this place is slow and they never seem to have a straight answer for a simple question. buying stamps was even an issue. over the past 1 year we have lived here I have started just sending important mail and packages to my parents house because its so bad. read more
