Now despite the word kitchen in the title there isn't a great deal of food on offer. However my visit was on an evening when they may have stopped serving food? The only menus on the tables where drinks menus. Perhaps there where food menus lurking around somewhere and I didn't see them? The place itself is in what was the Old Jack Russell art gallery, so it is nice and spacious. It has a modern, trendy London feel to it which is nice and the staff appear friendly and polite. Not too sure why they felt the need to plonk a tree in one corner of the room as it does make negotiating your way to the toilet rather challenging. The cocktail menu is fairly extensive with a lot of the classics on there with a few modern twists. No Pina Colada's though! If cocktails aren't your thing then why not choose a craft gin? Not too sure what a craft gin is? To me it's a gin an tonic with fruit and spices in it, or at least that what it appears to be anyway? Well I'm not a gin drinker, can't stand the stuff. They say that tonic is meant to be good for varicose veins but I don't believe them. If gin or cocktails don't tickle your fancy then there's real ale, lager and the usual selection of whiskeys and brandy's. All of this is quite reasonably priced. For a new bar that has not long been open it's quite affordable if you're on a bit of a budget. Cocktails start from £5.95 and I think the dearest one comes in at around £8.00? I would like to sample their food as there is some competition in the high street so it would be interesting to see what they come up with? All in all I really like it here. It has a nice atmosphere, the staff are friendly and there isn't music roaring out of the speakers so you can have a decent conversation. And also the price is right.

Family run Siam Thai restaurant in Chipping Sodbury. It's just a stones throw away from where I live so it's incredibly convenient. But more importantly it's delicious. Siam Thai offers customers a taste of authentic home cooked Thai cuisine at an affordable cost. They do a great lunch time menu where one course can cost as little as £5.00. The food is all cooked fresh to order and there isn't much of a wait during lunch time service. I usually go there with a friend and we both go for three courses with a couple of drinks and it costs us about £30.00? The dishes I would recommend is the Thai chicken toast which is more or less the same as Chinese prawn toast but with chicken, pad Thai pork noodles and an ice cream dessert. The flavours are delicate and well balanced and do not over power each other. Service is quick but that's because during a lunch time there's hardly anyone in there. The restaurant itself is quite dated and the staff are very formal. It's very quiet in there with almost no atmosphere and your very conscious of how loud your speaking. This can put a lot of people off I know as most do like a good natter over a meal. Now obviously I am talking about a lunchtime service so this isn't what it is like in the evenings. In fact when I have walked passed of an evening the atmosphere seems to be a lot more upbeat and livelier. The restaurant definitely needs updating but the food in my opinion doesn't. So if you want a quick and tasty lunch which is good value for money and your not too picky on the restaurant setting then I'd very much recommend Siam Thai.

Dinner - in our group, we had fish & chips, beef & mushroom meatpie, and a filet steak. The fish & chips were crispy & delicious, but we aren't used to the skin on so that was different. The meatpie was amazing, the gravy was everyone's fav! The filet was average, not seared/grilled, but seemed steamed. It was tender though. The evening service people were so nice, answered our questions, and checked often. Breakfast - the buffet was great! The front door service was not, she was frustrated about something and took it out on everyone there.

The atmosphere was lovely the American style seating booths made a both private and smooth experience with the frequent exit and entry and I compiled a feast from the buffet There is one slight issue, This overlying shadow that clouded my perception of the experience, I have only been once for the Breakfast Buffet, There was No Maple Syrup!, Like how can you have so many pancakes and not have the underlying ingredient, That ties the unique flavors into the traditional classical explosion of joy that pancakes should bring! (Can you tell I like my pancakes) I'm not angry just disappointed My pancakes were dry and this might just be why I saw you were shutting down, Best wishes!
