Really gotta say it, DO NOT GO HERE. Been with them for a while now, and mostly just because of a referral. We've always paid a decent price, and really have never had an issue. Aside from noticing that they seem to skimp when dealing with tow companies. Like every time we've needed a tow it has been an absolute nightmare, including 4 hour average wait times. But the real reason for my review is the following: we recently added a new car to our policy and it shot up from $250/mo range to $650/mo. Now I was not advised of this until it was too late and my autopay had gone through. And this is because they were all off for like 3 weeks for the holidays. Now first of all, who is going to pay $7500/yr for auto insurance ? Secondly though, how can you not advise a client of this increase ? If you have time to issue the policy, find the time to reply to emails and give a price. And why would we, a family with homeowners, umbrella, and already 3 cars insured, have to pay this much/mo ? No claims, nothing. And the real kicker is that we can't be reimbursed because we don't have evidence of other insurance going back to that time ? Seriously ? They are simply not taking care of their clients. Don't go here. A consolation, Simone ended up helping us out and at least left a decent note on the experience. read more

Len has my auto, renters, and life insurance. They bundle insurance so you get a discount when you have multiple policies. They also gave me a big discount on my auto insurance because of my job. It is important to me that I have an insurance agent who is local and will advocate for me when I need them. Len does this. It is also important that my life insurance is with someone who knows my family, I would never want my spouse to have to call an 800 number while grieving and without an advisor to try to collect on the life insurance. Instead, I chose Len and have no doubt he would deal with the paper work and hand deliver the check if necessary. It's "piece of mind. " His staff is polite and helpful and Jessica is awesome too. There's also a tasty pizza place next to his office which means I can be super efficient by dealing with insurance issues and grabbing a slice of pizza all in the same trip. read more

We have had Farmers insurance policies for home, earthquake, umbrella, and all of our cars (currently 3) for 25 years - thousands of dollars in premiums. We filed our first claim ever for rain damage caused by faulty flashing on the roof. The claim was completely denied. Very disappointing and disillusioning. We are changing coverage read more

zerrrrrrrro stars if there was a gong I would be hitting it till the cows come home. I had to get the f... out didn't have our back in a accident that my 16 year old got into. Farmers just handed over the money to the other party without even a phone call to hear our side of the story. I had to take the other party to court to prove that my son was NOT at fault for the accident that MY insurance took responsibility for. I was told later that because I didn't have full coverage on the vehicle that farmers would not do any investigation as to who's fault the accident was, but the funny part of the story is that Penny is the one who told me that full coverage would be a waste of my money on our 1971 Chevelle because they( Farmers) would never pay to restore the vehicle if damaged in an accident. Penny is not the agent and should not be giving advise as to what coverages I should have or not have. After my father and husband got more involved we decided to take matters in our own hands and sue the other driver, the court found my son NOT at fault and awarded us a judgment to have my sons record clear of any points, and Farmers could worry about getting their money back that they so quickly gave up to fix the other party's car. While looking for alternative insurance it came to our attention that Farmers not only put the accident as my sons fault but also on my husband who shares the same name. Yes, you heard me they have the same accident under two different drivers and points against both. This error has cost us extra money for months as our premium went up immediately. Penny has told me that they have given us credit back but truthfully I don't see it and she can't even explain it to a point that it even sounds correct. There billing is so messed up penny cant even figure it out .Don't think Lenard will call you back he won't!! I use the the term Agent very loosely because there is no representation on his part, I called the district office to complain about Lenard and insisted on changing agents and still no call from Lenard to see if maybe he could win back our loyalty, nope nothing just his stupid news letter that subliminally says to you that you need more insurance that will do nothing for you in your time of need. My next action is to call the insurance commissioner to lodge a formal complaint and have someone look over my last 5 years of billing to see how much I have overpaid and never received refunds for. read more

I would not recommend this Insurance Broker. We have been trying to cancel our home owners insurance now for almost three months, and they will not comply. We provided them with the new carrier, and they keep saying that we did not. I am sure that the refund due is nominal, but boy you should see Farmers threatening letters for lack of payment. We receive phone calls from folks that say they are from Farmers in Winston office but just by chance they are Len Stones number. Go figure, definitely a total lack of customer service action over a very small amount. We are not as interested in getting their cooperation as that doesn't seem possible as we are in filing a complaint with the Insurance Commision. So if you want to deal with a outfilt go for it, and then good luck with being totally frustrated. read more

Farmers is a good reputable insurance company. But it is a poorly run office. I have multiple policies with them and they can't keep track of my policies. They routinely forget some of my policies. I have to remind them every time. This can be nerve racking when it comes to billing. their answers are inconsistent on which policies I have and how to pay. I escalated to Leonard but the next day I just had another one of his staff send me an incomplete list of my policies. I just want to pay my bill. Why are they so disorganized? Shouldn't they have a good way to know which customers have which policies? Their follow up is awful. For months I thought I had coverage on something. After three months I learned they still needed something from me which they never previously communicated nor followed up. read more
