I would not recommend this company. They are disorganized at best. They advertise very low fees;…read morehowever, I learned after approximately 3 weeks that they charge by the hour (including emails) for anything above the tax preparation itself, which was never disclosed to me. I never received any kind of engagement letter outlining fees, etc. After putting in a ton of time and effort to get my S-corp set up, the CPA's assistant never ran payroll because she ran into an issue with my bank but never informed me. When I learned of this, she told me that she was very busy because it was tax season and said "Sweetie, if it was that stressful to you, you could have just done it yourself". By not running payroll, they caused me to be behind in submitting a W-2 to get an employer medical insurance plan which means that I will have to pay over $700 for another month of my individual plan. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Very disappointing and frustrating…read more I am not knowledgeable about the market so I hired an advisor with Schwab. I felt my gains in 4 years were small relative to the market growth. I began making withdrawals for some real estate investing and my Schwab advisor advised me to hire a second financial manager. Though the market has been volatile it rebounded to July levels in November. But during that time I had lost over 15% of my portfolio, with two financial advisors. I am now waiting on hold a second time for a representative to try to explain it to me. The first call was dropped and the broker left a voicemail with a number for the main line to start all over again. When trying to get an explanation from one advisor I was told that they were doing me a favor by representing me with less than a $1 million portfolio, and that they had "lost money when (I) lost money". I would give one star for Scwhab for one of my advisors notifying me that I was losing so much money, and for the Charles Schwab rep. who opened the investigation into the lost funds. My free advice to Schwab is to spend more on clients and getting referrals and less on advertising which can yield poor Yelp ratings.
