We tried Grindstone Bakery for the first time today, and we've been missing out! The bakery is…read morelocated next door to the coffee shop and open on Fridays and Saturdays. They had a wonderful selection of goodies. We ended up choosing the tiramisu cookies, chocolate chip cookies, olive oil cakes w blackberry thyme jam, cinnamon rolls, and mozzarella, tomato, basil focaccia. To start the tiramisu cookies had wonderful coffee flavor, and the fresh, creamy frosting paired nicely. The chocolate chip cookies were soft, chewy, and had chocolate woven throughout. One of the best I've had! The olive cakes were good, well backed and had a delicate flavor. However, we weren't the biggest fans of the thyme flavor, but that's just our preference. The focaccia was deliciously savory, the toppings paired well with the bread without overtaking its flavor. Lastly, the showstopper, was the cinnamon roll. It was next level good, and I dare say the best I've ever had. The roll itself was soft, buttery, and full of cinnamon spice. The frosting was perfect, creamy with a delicate cream cheese flavor. I know I'm going to be craving it in the future. On top of the delicious baked goods, the interior was clean and had welcoming vibe. The employees were kind and helpful. The price for everything was $58, which makes sense with how expensive groceries are nowadays. And you're supporting a small, locally owned business. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return!

Has drive through without overhang, good for tall vehicles. Few parking options but can be found. The service was neither good or bad. They were quick to notice the errors they initially made with our drinks and equally quick to remedy it. The drinks were very good however I feel it is unnecessary to charge extra for everything (oat milk, syrups) making a reasonably priced latte costly.

I ordered the sampler platter and was completely surprised that there was no tipping prompt! I just paid for my meal. No guilt. I sat down and received a much larger amount of food than I ever imagined for under $10. LeighAnn came by and checked on me twice to see if everything was okay or if I needed anything. The food was very good for fast food Italian, and they had to-go boxes and bags ready for leftovers along with peppermint candies. I highly recommend for a nice, clean restaurant for an inexpensive lunch.

Very good donuts!…read more When we walked in it was crowded and had a few people in line. They had a good selection of donuts, both in types and amounts of each. After we walked in, a fire truck pulled up, and the lady stopped helping the line to help the firefighters - although I had kids in the car and was in a hurry - it felt very small town, and that somehow added to the appeal. We got a dozen donuts including blueberry cake, devils food, honey dew, buttermilk, Boston cream, banana cream, cinnamon powdered sugar, strawberry cream, and some other one I can't remember the name of. They were all very tasty! The creams were generous, flavorful and a great texture and the powdered toppings were strong and packed on! My typical go-to are blueberry cake and devils food/chocolate cake, and they were just okay, but the rest were absolutely worth trying! Interestingly, they do a baker's dozen (13 not 12) but the 13th donut is chosen from a separate case with options that are different than the regular donut options and at other places would cost more like cinnamon rolls, apple fritters, specialty long johns, etc. we found that fascinating, as I tried to get one as part of my dozen and they said those are the free ones instead. I don't usually eat sugar, so trying donuts on this vacation was a big stretch for me, but these were absolutely worth it! If you're ever in the area and want a treat that's both authentic and tasty, Jolly Pirates is the place to try!
