I had the Farmhand Burger, and it was really good! I also ordered the waffle fries with the Farmboy sauce -- the fries were great, but the sauce wasn't my favorite since it had a strong taco flavor (just a personal preference). The atmosphere was really neat, with a kind of "unfinished finished" vibe that worked perfectly -- clean, comfortable, and unique without feeling cluttered. The service was excellent, and everyone was super friendly and attentive. I'd definitely go back to try more from the menu!

Great service paired with perfectly cooked burgers, topped with fresh bread and veggies. The perfect stop on a scenic drive.

This is more than burger place. We had pizza and salad. Both were delicious. 1919 Root Beer was a great surprise. Service was excellent.

I had the Walleye Chermoula, and all I can say is...wow. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the subtle North African spices in the chermoula complemented the walleye without overpowering it. It was one of the best dishes I had on the entire trip. As always, we travel with a long list of dietary restrictions. My wife has gluten and dairy allergies, while I manage Alpha Gal syndrome, a tree nut allergy, and diabetes. Our server was outstanding. I didn't write down her name, but she took the time to understand our food sensitivities, answered our questions, and made sure we were comfortable with our meal choices. The attentive service really elevated the experience. The restaurant has a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. It would work well for a casual business lunch or dinner, and families with small children should feel comfortable here as well. Its location is another plus. It's just off the main tourist area in downtown Custer, making it easy to walk to after exploring the shops, and there is convenient parking nearby. This was an easy five stars for us. If you're near Custer, Custer Wolf should be on your short list. Highly recommended.

When I went inside to the bar to pick up my order, there were two male bartenders working. One was deeply engaged in a lengthy conversation with another customer about different beers, while the other appeared to overlook me, even though I was the only other person waiting. After standing there for a while, I finally spoke up and let him know I was there to pick up a takeout order, and he then assisted me. We ordered the bulgogi dish. It was decent, though it was more of a stir-fry than the traditional bulgogi I was expecting. Overall, the meal was okay, but it didn't stand out enough that I would make a point of returning.

Popular place with a wide variety of choices for dinner--friendly and attentive service (if you…read moredon't see your server, ask another--they clearly work well as a team) and interesting decor. Starter and food, drinks, etc., are brought promptly to the table. This is exceptional in a highly popular tourist area. The food is good but could use a little improvement--the grilled mahi-mahi was good, but a little on the dry sauce and definitely needed a sauce. A couple of the dishes did have sauces, but fish is why most Creole restaurants like Brennan's will serve a sauce on the side, or a topping with butter such as Trout Almandine. It doesn't have to be a fancy sauce--the option of good ol' tartar sauce works. The grilled vegetables also needed a little more butter and seasoning. Carrots are good on their own; broccoli and cauliflower need a little cheese or butter and some seasoning to be loved. The IPA (Long John) was excellent. The beer cheese dip and soft pretzels were to die for; the chardonnay was passable. A great choice for dining in a VERY heavily traveled tourist destination. Get there early--it starts filling up fast and all the restaurants around Mount Rushmore close at 9.
