Unfortunately, Grand Design decided to stop at the diagnosis because the trailer is under warranty but we learned much about the problem from Adam. We really appreciate Adam and the work he did. We contacted John (the owner) and, though backed up by other service calls, he got to us as soon as he could. John is knowledgeable about RV repairs. I had done a little research prior to his arrival and he quickly arrived at the same conclusion as I: The AC motor was burned out. John did what was required to repair my AC, he didn't try to get over on me by claiming something else (like the motherboard) was bad, and the charge for the replacement motor and his labor were very reasonable. He is also pleasant to deal with. I will be using JMC Mobile RV Services for my repairs from now on.

After looking at the installation on YouTube I decided to have them do it. They schedule a time and came to my Motorhome. After looking at my dryer they determined that the Part I asked for was not the problem they ordered the correct part and schedule a return trip. They worked the my extend warranty people and most everything was covered. They did not charge me for the part that did not fix my problem and I had ordered. Which I was very impressed by the fact they did force me to buy it. After the part was put on the dryer, the dryer would not heat up. The service rep called his manger and they okayed him. To stay until it was fix. When they found the new problem the manger worked with our warranty people to get the dryer replaced. The service rep was very polite, helpful and made sure he kept the motorhome clean. I have worked with many RV repair people over our 45 years of camping the this company is one of the best I have seen. Be sure to call them if you have a problem.

Five-Star Service from Start to Finish - Highly Recommend By the Bay RV Mobile Repairs!…read more We recently had the pleasure of working with By the Bay RV Mobile Repairs, and we cannot say enough great things about the experience. From the moment we reached out, they responded immediately, and scheduling was fast and incredibly easy--a rarity in the world of mobile RV service. Upon arrival, Jeff and his wife made an outstanding first impression. They arrived on time in a clean, beautifully branded service vehicle, and set up a professional sandwich board to signal their presence. Both wore professional uniforms, which added to our confidence in their professionalism and attention to detail. We had three separate issues, and they handled each one flawlessly. The most urgent was a sudden failure of our Solara awning on our Grand Design Toy Hauler 5th Wheel. While we were relaxing in the main salon, we heard a loud bang--the awning had snapped and separated from the end cap due to a substandard screw from the factory. Jeff immediately diagnosed the issue and performed a superior repair using proper rivets, which is what the manufacturer should have done in the first place. This wasn't just a fix--it was an upgrade in safety and quality. In addition to the awning, they resolved two other issues with equal care and expertise. We were so impressed with their knowledge, efficiency, and professionalism that we scheduled them to return and service all three of our HVAC units. It's important to note that By the Bay RV holds all the proper certifications and licenses, including insurance, propane repair certification, and a valid business license--something every RV owner should confirm before allowing any work to be done. We've attached photos of their work, their service vehicle, and the team in action to show the high standard they bring to every job. We highly recommend By the Bay RV Mobile Repairs for any and all of your RV service needs. Professional, reliable, responsive, and truly experts in their field. We wouldn't trust our rig with anyone else. -- Grand Design 5th Wheel Owner

Big mistake. Showed up a few days later ready to talk numbers on that exact unit, and some other sucker had already signed the papers. Gone. Sold off the lot while the salesman was probably hiding in the back room reading comic books. They get three stars because the rig itself wasn't a total pile of garbage, but the operation seems like every other greasy trailer dealer joint from here to nowhere. Life's too short to chase ghosts and indifferent salesmen. Three stars is for a bottle of warm gin that doesn't quite blind you, or a cheap room with a bed that only has two dead springs instead of four.
