So if you have lots of non-urgent medical issues that you're okay with hounding the office about, then this is the doctor for you. If you want a responsive doctor who gets things done timely without a lot of back and forth, then choose a different doctor.

I had borderline high cholesterol(ratio was not good, while HDL was high LDL was also high). We tried for a little over a year through diet and exercise to bring it down. After I dropped the extra pounds and maintained a relatively clean diet etc., and tests showed no improvement he put me on a statin. The facility is nice and supports him well. His entire staff is on the ball. His bedside manner is firm and persistent, an ideal fit for the stubborn patient such as myself. I left his care for palo alto docs and came back after just 1 year, eventhough it means a 40 minute trek every 3 months. This is not cookie cutter care, Doc Morgensen and his PA Omalley listen and act, based on what you say (and YOUR labs). In the age of managed care and check list doctors/nurses, he's a dying breed of quality care. They keep my diabetes in check and me responsible (for my health). Hard to do with a stubborn kid like me. I don't mind being the only one in lobby without a oxygen tank, I feel special that way :-)

Everyone who works at the desk are polite and professional I'm grateful they have a board behind the counter area letting you know if your doctor is on time, out of office (whoops, yeah, I goofed once on when I thought my appointment was...they were happy to say hi), or running behind. I've always gotten excellent care. I can be open with whomever I'm meeting with. I really like having nurse practitioners for the day to day stuff and my doctor for the physical. I can disagree with them on things, and it's fine. They're my partners and have been for a long time. I appreciate that they're quick at calling in prescriptions too. And there's an interface to send questions or request refills.

This review is, however, for someone in his office, the Office Lead, Corey. Sometimes there is a quagmire in dealing with medical offices that can be challenging. Patients are sick or minimally, not feeling well and trying to get an appointment with a doctor that is often overbooked, or admin rules that put high walls between a patient and their doctor that are difficult to traverse.
