We were so lucky to get a reservation for a night a this beautiful location! We cannot wait to go back and stay longer. We stayed in 19, it had a wood fire pit and a picnic table. The middle sites are a little tight to back into but we were lucky to not have anyone parked in front so we had a fairly easy time. I think sites 7-17 would be the easiest to back into since there isn't much in the front except road. Spots are tight and you are close to your neighbors but the view makes up for it! read more

Wow! This place is just amazing! How can you say anything bad about getting to park right next to the beach?! Beautiful views! Wonderful sea smells! Wonderful sound of waves crashing as you sleep at night! Just awesome!! The place is always booked because it's so nice. So book early. Some of the places are a little tight to get in to, but we made it work. They have a snack bar that is open every day, I believe. Bathrooms are clean. Some of the spots have hookups, some don't. Some have fire pits, some don't. If you get a spot without a fire pit, bring a propane fire with you. Will definitely be back! read more

It's always so hard to get in here, so we are usually down the road at Hobson, and now I know why! Faria is SO well taken care of! Christy & Jeff truly care about this park & do everything they can to ensure it's clean & ready for everyone! They are up early cleaning up sites people leave less than when they arrived, & they are up late ensuring guests are able to enjoy their trip without it being a big party park, which I wholly appreciate! Jeff even hung out a couple of days with my hubby playing cornhole! We were able to grab site 19, which is one of the sites with full hook-ups & like most of the sites, right on the ocean! The new cafe owners (Peirano's Beachfront Cafe) have done a great job creating a little oasis inside the park, it was great to be able to grab lunch there as we were setting up & breakfast as we were cleaning up to go home! Love that they serve adult beverages now, just wish the menu was a LITTLE more diverse. The service was AMAZING, my son dropped his plate & they kindly remade his entire order! The food was tasty & the fries were some of the best I have ever had! We had an amazing 6 days & I have to say although we have had some great trips at Hobson, this park is hands down top notch! I have seen previous posts about the current unpaid camp hosts. We have been coming to Faria 35 years. We remember the previous grill owner Laura who was so nice and respectful. These current hosts are nothing short of annoying and intrusive!!! Every time we come here they are on us about sone BS issue. We have politely tried to tell them to leave us alone! I love the option to TENT CAMP BESIDE THE OCEAN BUT ....Very close quarters. If your neighbor cranks up their engine , to run their electric , you will be sucking their exhaust fumes . A lovely sunrise session in your camp inevitably ruined because the neighbors must microwave their breakfast. It's honestly worth paying extra for an electric spot to avoid the generator junkies. A hidden gem campground located right by the ocean that's not restricted to only RV's and is accessible for vehicles and tents. This camping experience was the closest I've been to the ocean. The low tide during the afternoon allowed us to access the beach area nearby. The campground had restrooms, shower rooms, a sink for dishwashing, and a café (which I did not see open during my stay). Online reservation is available through their County website. Our Lot space (27) was big enough to fit two vehicles. The site came with a table connected to bleachers. However, this space did not have a firepit, and when I asked if we could bring our own, they said it must be connected to propane. Overall, the campground is beautiful and well-maintained. The cleaning crew came in the morning and cleaned the bathroom. We slept in the car for the first time. We wanted to test a feature called Camping Mode and were cozy inside the vehicle. The stars came out in the evening, and there were many but not infinite. During the evening, the water level started to rise, and we heard the waves crashing closer to our site. Luckily, boulders surrounded the ocean's edge and prevented the water from coming in. We had a definite blast and planned to return. read more

Wonderful camp hosts; they genuinely care about the park and put in the extra effort to keep it clean and a nice place to stay. Wood burning campfires are not allowed in sites near the residential community while propane campfires are allowed. Staircase, between site 7 and 8, allows beach access at low tide, may have to navigate rocks if the sand is out. Surfers are constantly coming and going at the opposite end of the park where there is beach access for those that are fit enough to navigate the path. Love the tide pools down in that area at low tide. Access starts between sites 36 and 37, and for those that can't navigate the path, it's still good for taking in the lovely ocean view. read more

Love the campground itself and beach access. One start review are for the following two items: BEACH CAFE AND CAMP HOST CHRISTY. ** #1 - Beach cafe has been revamped and is definitely not what it once was. We have tried breakfast twice, both times were terrible and tasted like cardboard. A bagel took 45 minutes to come out. Supposedly they have the coffee cake that used to be sold here BUT they didn't make enough and sold out of it early on. Do not recommend the food here. Hobson beach cafe is way better down the road. ** #2 - The camp host, Christy, is a terrible witch. Cannot stand her and her bad attitude. Condescending and I really think she is racist. Very disappointed especially this last time I camped here. She made it a point to go off on us and the kids in our group, who were aged 7 and under. She even threatened to call the cops over the kids and the noise level, even though we told her we were sorry and quieting them down. The way she yelled/barked at us and treated us was unbelievable and I was shocked, as were numerous people in my party who were first-timers to the campground. This is not the first time I have dealt with her. At 4th of July she made sure my friend got a ticket for parking even though her car was not on the reservation. She also made it a point to patrol about fireworks and parking constantly. But what's interesting is she let her own people park in the parking spot before dusk. Bottom line is this person CHRISTY has deep-seated issues and is extremely miserable. It's not even worth to waste my time on people like that but I will make sure to tell every camper I know to watch out for this evil woman. I am extremely sad to see that Ventura county parks trusts this person with running their campground. What happened to the family oriented and fun place this once was ??? What is even funnier is she has her own crew that seems to constantly camp there and she is totally fine with them. Always older couples in her same age group. There was a lady that was camped there the last time we were here on July 4th and this same weekend. I saw her hanging with Christy last time and this time. There are locals that I think are hooked up with sites from Christy and her husband. You see a lot of the same faces here if you come enough times. I will visit again because I like the location but I would like to see another camp host next time. One can only hope she's gone soon!!!!!! Faria is a clean small campground in Ventura county great views of the ocean some of the most amazing sunsets. The only downfall is they have a total asshole. That's the campground host. In fact I am going to call the county of Ventura to let them know that he had screamed and gotten my girlfriend's face which was not called for and luckily I did not kick his ass. He wanted us to move our trailer 4 feet over which the park Ranger told us our trailer was compliant, so his friends could have more room which was obvious that they were not within the campground lines that are marked He's a piece of shit to be honest but other than that the place is magnificent. I'd recommend it and stay away from the campground host he should be fired and I have about alot other people that think the same, that I've talked talk to. Oh boy, where do I start. BEAUTIFUL PLACE, but the host needs some classes or education on how to deal and talk to people. Rudest host I've ever encountered in Ventura, of better yet, EVER! My kids, 2 and 7 years olds were playing INSIDE my mini van. Granted it was late, 9pm or so, so I do understand there are rules. She came over to us and told me the kids were way too loud and she was going to call the Cops . If the kids were being loud I understand a warning is in place. I would never want to be disrespectful towards the other fellow campers. I just didn't think the two kids would be so loud it would go outside my car. And perhaps before escalating the situation from a 0 to 100% she couldn't just spoken to me with some respect. But the screaming and threatening was not necessary. A sentence telling us to quiet down would've been enough. There are MANY other camping sites. So warning, don't take a toddler to this site lol read more

The views, ocean breeze, and convenience is hard to beat. This property is well kept and clean. Hot showers, clean restrooms, fire pits (in some spots). It's close to the city but also feels like you're away. Truly a great location. Only complaint is the lack of privacy. Most spots are very tight and feels very close to your neighbors. Had rowdy kids next to me one night so that was a very early morning to wake up to screaming. Generators are also allowed here which gets loud at times. Aside from that, this place is a gem. The rangers are friendly and so is the park host. Will definitely be returning! read more

This was a great campsite. It was clean and full of families camping. The hosts were really nice. There are 20-ish steps down to the beach. Clean bathrooms. There are showers that we didn't use. The snack bar was closed Sunday and Monday when we were there, but it opens at 8 am. Great place. I'd definitely go back. read more

Campsite #13 Early February We discovered Faria Beach Park on our PCH exploration trip after reading about it on trip savvy. This campsite is mainly for RVs since most of the sites are concrete paved. The times we've driven by or even camped we have seen some tents set up near campsite 2. Since we opted for a roof tent, camping on concrete pavement wasn't an issue for us. Some highlights * Fire pits are only available at sites 1-24 *Camp sites are right off PCH so cars do drive very close but: traffic isn't high at night and the crashing waves overpower the car sounds *It can get windy but it's not bad (our tent never had issues) *Generators can be noisy but once again the crashing waves overpower the sounds *The store sells wood and food *Plenty of access to the beach read more

This has been my favorite place to camp when Laura was camp host. What it has turned into since the new camp hosts have taken over has been a change for the worst! The bathroom showers are now coed, and the wemons showers that we use to use were blocked off with chain link fencing for the host only. Also, the menu has changed along with outrageous restaurant dining prices as if you're at a resort. Why were these changes needed when everything was so enjoyable! It's not an environment I want to shower in if it's coed and smells of sewage. read more

We always have a wonderful time when visiting. At 11am checkout you will see your camp hosts cleaning, raking and making fire pit ready for the next arriving guests. We have even seen them picking up trash from the beach below. The park has never looked better !!! They are always friendly to all guests and available for questions and assistance. Faria feels like home to us so we appreciate all that they do to make it nice. We have seen 1 star reviews from campers who who have broken the rules and upset because they got caught and corrected. So I'm sitting ontop of my picnic table, looking out at the ocean enjoying my last morning of this trip here at Faria, and I realized it is far past time that I leave a review. Faria beach park and I go way back. I actually used to camp at Rincon ( just up the street, campers only- no tents) with my family, and dad would drive us down here to Faria to shower to preserve water in the rv. As I got older I started coming to camp at Faria myself, with friends, in tents. I now camp here just about twice a month. Rain or shine, summer or winter. Let me just say that Faria is my favorite place. I come here when I'm happy sad mad whatever, this is my happy place. And this is my ONLY campground. So much so that when I invite my friends camping, they already know where we are going! Faria has it all. Amazing views from waterfront spots where you can actually feel the ocean misting you when the waves crash if the ride is super high. Daily dolphin sightings. Faria park cafe, where you'll always find Laura, who runs the park pretty much, cooking a variety of breakfast and lunch foods (her homemade salsas are yummy!). Rocks to sit and or lay on right in each camp spot with the perfect view. Staircase down to the beach, Bathrooms, showers, soda vending machine, Laura also sells ice and firewood, full hookups for rvs (which also have regular outlets for charging for all you kids that can't let go of your cell phones), and a calm, friendly environment where you can safely interact with your neighbors without anyone being offended. Now a couple of tips and or warnings- -Squirrels live in the rocks. Don't leave food unattended, and to be safe I always put my food in the car overnight so I don't tempt any squirrels to break into my tent. -You are camping practically ON the ocean, things will get misted. Don't leave anything out overnight that you don't want to find wet! -It's super safe here. Never had anyone steal a single thing. -Make sure you pick a spot with rv hookups, as these are the not spots with fire pits now. -You are restricted to 3 items per spot (I have a car and two tents, my neighbor has a tent, car, and rv, etc) so plan to adhere to that because the park rangers can be kind of grumpy read more

I wanna start by saying the negative review Posted on here about the camp host and cafe is beyond false and from a ludacrious group that made ALL us local everyday goers here very uncomfortable. They were loud and entitled! Just gross people all around. But for the good news This park is amazing. The new camp host kristy is an angel who does the absolute most to keep the park looking ship shape! She's always around if you need help! As well as her partner Jeff! The cafe is a local family run spot it's small and really nice. Food is all locally sourced and in house prepped and made as well and all Meats are smoked at their local butcher shop! read more

The park host and rangers are really really nice and super helpful, but the people I talked with on the phone were not very nice nor helpful. They were actually very short and didn't seem like they wanted to help me. When I was camping I found out that they had closed down one of the showers to allow the new snack shack storage (which is much better than the last place). This made the line to the shower really long! I don't think it is very smart to do this since there are almost always about 1/3 of the campground are tent or van that don't have showers. This will affect people heavily if they take out the showers all together. read more
