Dr. Rafizadeh is an artist, a perfectionist and a miracle worker. I recently traveled all the way from Tennessee to Morristown N.J. to get a facelift from him. A well-preserved 65, I still felt dismayed by the tired, jowly look on my face I caught in the mirror everywhere--in the mornings, at the gym, the hairdresser, in front of my students, at conferences. Dr. Rafizadeh reconstructed my right leg after a car accident in 1995 left it misshapen/disfigured. We worked as a team to decide upon a reasonable goal. He talked to me much like a coach would, not a surgeon. Throughout the consultations we had, Dr. Rafizadeh was honest with me about the unknowns and about possible complications regarding symmetry, which made me trust him even more. He sat with me in his office explaining everything and answering all of my questions, He even drew pictures to aid my understanding. I felt comfortable. I felt safe. He removed more than 4 liters of tissue and fluid (~ 1 gallon) from my right leg and restructured the skin. I was walking normally, driving, and dancing within 10 days. He performed a tummy tuck on me last year that turned out great and performed a belly button revision afterwards since my BB did not heel correctly (it nearly closed up but that was due to the way my skin heeled- not the Dr's work).
