I absolutely LOVE when the Beehive Bazaar rolls in. About every season, local artists come together…read moreto display their thoughtful, creative, and beautiful goods. This particular market screamed of Christmas with scents of wassail and Christmas Carols in the air. Prices range from low to high, Which is to be expected at a market like this. You are paying for their skills and time, after all. There is even a section with displays from young makers showing off their amazing skills in clay molding, jewelry making, and cookie baking. If you have a chance to go to The Beehive Bazaar, please do! There is something for everyone.

I went on a Thursday evening and it was pretty steadily busy, so I would imagine that it would be packed on a Friday or Saturday. There were around 35-40 booths set up in a large warehouse room, which seemed like just the right amount for meandering around. Each vendor marked their items with their vendor code so you can make all your purchases at once at the end. The vendors had already set up their items and were not present at the event, which made for a low-stress shopping experience. I believe that they rotate through vendors each week so if you would like to see variety, you can go again on a different week and see some totally different items. You could buy anything from vintage clothing to dry shampoo, to embroidery to jewelry. My personal favorite vendor was Vintau, which sold gorgeous rocks and gemstones on stands and dreamcatchers at a super reasonable price. The people running the event stayed near the entrance/exit so they could hand out shopping baskets and check out customers. The lines were short, and they carefully wrapped up fragile items in tissue paper. Overall, it seemed very well planned and executed and was a very enjoyable way to spend an hour.

I went in to use the ATM and asked for assistance when it malfunctioned. The store manager (an older woman with highlights) immediately became dismissive, telling me to "call the ATM company." When I tried to clarify, she became defensive, stating she had "nothing to do with it." I walked away to avoid further conflict and said quietly I would let the store take care of things as they saw fit. She chose to yell after me in a petty and hostile tone in front of multiple other customers. After looking online, I realized this is a documented pattern and has happened to a ton of people. This specific manager has multiple complaints dating back over 6 months minimum regarding hostility and, more disturbingly, allegations of forbidding customers from speaking preferred languages or being hostile toward foreign accents. Both are potential civil rights violations and clear instances of discrimination. I filed a formal complaint with corporate. No customer should feel unsafe or witness discriminatory behavior in a place of business. I'd rather pay ATM fees somewhere else than go back to a store with such poorly chosen leadership. I look forward to corporate taking action to ensure this location goes back to being a professional and welcoming place for the community.

Our baby was able to take her helmet off about 10 days shy of three months, and has shown a great deal of improvement in that time. We highly recommend.
