2 weeks ago New If I…read morecould give zero stars I would. We took our car here with it's check engine light on to be diagnosed. We were told by the shop that it needed a simple oil sensor replacement which they did. As soon as we left the shop and drove just a mile the engine began to tremble and the car is now making a horrible squealing noise. We immediately brought the car back to them. They began looking at the car again and told us that the car had little to no oil in it and they they didn't touch anything except for the sensor. Immediately they were defensive. How does the car come back in worse condition is my question. I truly feel like we flushed money down the toilet and now we are having to have our vehicle towed to the dealership. Thanks for nothing. Can't trust them at all. Additional response: No we were not informed of there being no oil to begin with. What kind of repair shop would receive a vehicle with no oil, tell the customer there's no oil and miss a perfect opportunity to up sell for an oil change and then return said vehicle with no oil for the customer to drive off? Make that make sense! You guys are a joke.

He also did not upcharge for parts, which I appreciate. Most shops have started up charging for parts they are getting from Autozone and O'Reilly's and claiming that they won't warranty anything that you bring in, even if they literally are the exact same parts from the exact same place from which the shop would have gotten them. I appreciate that Jake delivered value for money, and does honest, good work in a really convenient and prompt manner.

I've gone there several times for alignments. During my last visit, they told me I needed wheel bearings and gave me a written estimate of about $1,300 for parts and labor. I asked if I could supply my own parts, and they said yes, explaining only that they wouldn't be able to warranty customer-supplied parts. I specifically asked what the labor would cost and was told $645. I ordered the parts and, a few months later, called to make sure the labor price was still the same before bringing my car in. They assured me it was. When I arrived with my parts, instead of pulling up my original estimate, the employee created a new estimate with the labor increased by nearly $300. I stopped him and asked him to print my original estimate. He hesitated and only did so after I repeatedly insisted. The manager then came out and claimed the original labor price was only discounted because I was supposedly buying their parts. That explanation made no sense because I had already told them from the beginning that I would be supplying my own parts, and at that time they still quoted me $645 for labor. They never said that price depended on buying their parts. It felt like an excuse made up on the spot to justify charging me almost $900 in labor. To make matters worse, the parts they wanted to sell me were marked up by more than $500. I bought the exact same brand-new parts myself for only $170. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop. Make sure you get everything in writing, compare prices, and don't assume they will honor the estimates they give you. After leaving I discovered that they also have complaints with the Better Business Bureau as well

Set another date for him to come out and do the work, he came replaced brake switch, brakes and calipers. Drove it one block and said the work was done and car was running fine. Paid 669.00 . I drove the car it left me stranded with the same VSA light and issue, called them back they sent someone out 2 days later who determined that the first mechanic failed to bleed the brakes. 3 days after that Im getting ready to run errands... SAME ISSUE CAR WONT MOVE LEFT ME STRANDED after driving 2.5 miles. Had it towed to a mechanic shop cause at this point I dont want Nuts or Bolts to touch a fkng thing I own. The mechanics I took the car to determined that when the previous mechanic replaced the break switch he put a screw in stead of a grommet. The grommet is what presses the switch to allow the breaks to come back into position once you take your foot off the breaks. Paid thebnew nechanic who was very transparent and even suggested that they dont understand why they replaced all that and failed to mention that I need new Rotors ! or at the very lease had them resurfaced for 669.00 !!! Jake at Fast Lane was a savior!…read more I had drove from San Antonio to Cooperas Cove to purchase a vehicle however, I had some concerns prior to purchasing it and needed to access to a vehicle lift (lowered muscle car) I rolled up to Fast Lane on a late Monday afternoon just minutes after closing. As I walked-in a gentleman seemed to be closing the books for the day and looked like the only person around. He greeted me and I apologized for being "that guy" and explained my situation. With a positive attitude and smile on his face Jake said let's take a look Sir. He crawled under the car for a few minutes with a flashlight and then said let's put it on the lift and see if we can take a better look and address your concerns. While on the lift he discovered some minor issues I was unaware of yet, deemed the car safe to drive. With Jakes help I was able to get the seller to work with me on the price and drive my "new to me" car home -- with peace of mind. PRICELESS. Very pleased with the service, professionalism and honesty at Fast Lane Auto. BIG shout out to Jake on choosing to provide outstanding customer service and a job well done! Thank you.
