I should have known when I went on a Sunday and it was dead. The place was also not cleanly there was dirt in every nook and cranny on the floors, dust everywhere. Old tables with old lights that I'm not sure if it was dirt or scratches. I was worried that I was going to get an infection. There was some slight unevenness on a few nails, then we get to the design and was not at all like the inspo picture. The more she kept adding the worse it was. I called to book an appointment and specifically asked for Kathy (Trang), whom I had been to 3 times prior and really liked. I am Type 1 diabetic and need to go to someone who is very careful and gentle, due to the risk. Woman who answered booked my appointment with Kathy. When I arrived I told them I have an appointment with Kathy. I was then told Kathy no longer worked there, that she was bringing her parents back from Vietnam and was moving to Philadelphia. She had left a week ago. I was very upset by the blatant dishonesty, but needed to get my pedicure done due to family coming into town. She said Kathy's mother-in-law would do it. My pedicure was mediocre. She was rough and her cat-like nails dug into my skin, which caused me to wince 2x. Finally I pulled my foot away and said OUCH! The polish job was not that good either. I was very upset about the entire experience. First from lying by omission. They should have told me over the phone that Kathy was no longer there. I probably would have booked it with someone else, but because they lied to get me in the door to make $42.00, I will never go back to Fancy Nails again and losing $42.00 x4 (4 appointments a year) = $168.00. GET YOUR NAILS DONE WITH TROI ONLY. My friends and I made appointments to get our nails done over the weekend. We all started at the same time, and I got lucky enough to be with troi. She was so thorough and invested in her work. My friends had mediocre experiences to say the least. Their nail techs could not have been bothered to do the bare minimum that is expected with a $41 mani pedi. Troi checked in with me every step of the way and my nails have never looked better. I brought myself and my four year old for a gel pedicure before we went on vacation. There was only one lady doing both of our pedicures which is fine. That has happened in the past and hasn't been a problem for me. My daughter's toes were done first. She had my daughter soak her toes in the JUST water and then she painted her toes. This counted as a full pedicure.... My daughter has gotten so much more attention at other places with exfoliating, lotion, clipping toenails, the whole ordeal as it should be because I'm paying for a pedicure. Once she was done with my daughter, it was my turn. My toes weren't clipped or shaped, I didn't get any calluses removed, and I did not get a leg massage that lasted longer than a minute. My toes turned out cute but I definitely expected more since I paid $100. When I went to pay, I was asked if I had cash for a tip. I gave her the cash and she counted it in front of me. (How rude.) Also, getting pedis with my daughter is a bonding experience. They had baby songs (without my permission!) playing on their giant TV so my daughter was mesmerized with the TV instead. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE!! It is horrible!!! The first time I went there everything was good and the nails were beautiful. So I went back two weeks later because I thought I finally found a good place. I experienced some breakage with the first set and that was okay because my nails were long. Nothing unusual there. So I got a fill in with two colors. And I got the same girl as last time. Which is the Caucasian big girl. She isn't very nice at all, always rude and on her phone. But this day it was like she didn't give a fuck. She just fucked yo my nails. It was streaky as hell and she cut my finger and barely acknowledged that. So I paid her gave her a tip and left even though I wasn't happy, I just dealt with it. Then two days later TWO nails broke! And I was like wtf?! So I was like do they all break easy? And I start breaking them off, realizing that the nails were weak and too thin. I wasn't even doing anything drastic just sitting around and y'all nails broke from hitting the couch. So now all my nails are broken and this bitch fucked up my nails and I'm livid. So i had no ride to go there, because my bf is a truck driver. So I had to wait a few days. I couldn't even call because my phone is off. So I had my bf call them today and tell them exactly what happened. And that I wanted them to redo my nails or give me a refund. And the Asian woman started talking a lot of crap, like "we have a policy and there is no warranty on the nails" then she had the nerve to say that nails break sometimes, it happens. I got a full-set of SNS nails, and they look clumpy and uneven. Also my cuticles weren't taken care of properly, and the fake nail wasn't glued on completely. I have read many fantastic reviews about this establishment and i must agree with most that Wendy, the owner was is absolutely the best at her job. however the nail technician who did my full set was quite sloppy and seemed to be in a hurry the entire time. he nearly sanded my nail to the point where it burned and he also cut the top of my index finger. when i informed him he had cut my finger after burning me once again with alcohol so i noticed the cut he replied with "no, that cut was there when i began" so i left it at that because wendy was no longer there and i didn't feel like arguing. but overall, i was satisfied. read more

She finally hires help and they have no idea what they are doing! There's only ever 2 workers and it takes forever to get anything done. I was in Tannersville for a wedding last weekend. My daughter and I had gotten our nails done at home, and I had eyelash extensions done. Well, I woke up in the morning, in the hotel 100 miles from home, with my eyelashes falling apart, the morning of the wedding. My daughter's nails were a mess, so the hunt for a salon began. One of the hotel staff recommended Fancy Nails and Wendy took us right away. My daughter ended up needing gel tips, which were $15 dollars LESS than at home, and Wendy fixed my eyes....for $10!!! PLEASE READ MY STORY ABOUT THIS TERRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT: I called in the morning for an appointment with Wendy and when I arrived she was doing another client. I sat and waited for about 20 minutes when a guy said he would take me now. I showed him what I wanted my nails to look like shape and color and he proceeded with doing my nails. He starts shaping my nails and I realized he made them square and I wanted them round. When I told him this he replied "I should have told him earlier." and I said to him that I did prior to him starting my nails and he says "I forgot." Then he starts filing away at my nails trying to reshape them. After all of that he gets ready to paint my nails and I look at my free hand to see how the shape came out and I was pleased. So he's applying the polish and he only does one coat and he says "Two coats would be ratchet and it looks like a marshmallow." I just made a face because I actually love the color I get with two coats of that polish. At this point I was running late for work and had no time to fuss over another coat of polish. So as I was leaving I got in the car and looked at my nails my right hand was not the same as my left! The shape was square-oval,some nails were longer than the other, and some were just crooked due to a sloppy application of acrylic. I called immediately and I spoke to Wendy and I was assured at I could come in the next day to get my nails redone. I called the next morning to make sure I didn't have to wait and I could just come in and have what I needed done. Of course when I call the guy who did my nails answers and tells me Wendy went down the street to Dunkin Donuts and would be back shortly. I made my way down to the nail salon because I figured by that time she would be there. Of course she wasn't! I sat there for almost 45 minutes waiting on her and I wasn't greeted or asked anything in that timeframe. Finally I got up to ask the guy that did my nails when she would be in today and he said she would be back soon. I gave it another 15 minutes and finally she comes in and says nothing to me. The guy says something to her in their language and she says "No. I'm not doing them, she wants you to redo her nails that you did yesterday." I said "No, I want Wendy to do them." and Wendy walks in the back as if she didn't hear me and I stormed out. I called them twice to let them know how upset I was that I was treated this way and that I would be calling my credit card company, but I was sent to voicemail. This is an example of POOR customer service! I would never recommend anyone to get their nails or anything else done at this establishment. They don't have great shades of polish and most of them are old and settled. The place where they do eyebrows is not up to health standards and I will be contacting someone regarding that issue as well. GET YOUR SERVICES DONE HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!! read more
