I visited Fancy Nails on a Sunday morning. They were moderately busy. I was able to get to in for a pedicure immediately though. They have several different pedicure options ranging from a quick pedicure to a "Volcano pedicure". I opted for the "fancy pedicure" which was a "regular pedicure" with a 10 minute neck massage. I was so excited about this part! The regular pedicure also includes a 10 minute foot and let massage. Love to relax and be pampered. The girl that did my nails took time and paid attention to my needs. She did not rush and was not trying to get out of there as quickly as possible like with some nail salons. The salon is in a strip center and is nothing special on the outside. Actually, I was a little concerned but went by great the reviews. Inside the salon is updated, clean and new feeling. I highly recommend a visit!

Reliable place! I was seen quickly both times I've been but it does get busy so it's better to call ahead than walk in. Overall clean place and they offer pretty much anything you want. I got acrylics and minimal design. I highly recommend pre-requesting a nail tech as not all have the skill set required for nail art. I also had my eyebrows waxed which was quick and easy. The original nail art I asked for with the pink nails in the photo was a geode/marble looking design that I didn't think was too complicated, but it was a total fail, so I decided to go with a simple line design instead. Honestly, it still wasn't great and I wasn't thrilled with the results, but I can't complain about the service itself. The location is great, but parking is a bit tight so it's better to go earlier in the day. Overall, decent nail salon - the staff is very friendly, which is what I think makes people want to come back!

I've heard GREAT things about this salon. I regularly go to South Tampa Nail just down the road, their sister location. I knew I'd get good quality if I went here. Unfortunately I was there for two hours. Two hours. I did a GEL mani and regular pedi. I have no idea why it was that long. I get craftsmanship but I was itching to leave. But why three stars? I wanted my nails more narrow. After they were cut down the nail technician sanded so hard into the side of my nail it actually cut me. I had felt it harder before but I figured it'd be over. And I was wrong. I had to jump back and ask the technician to stop. My nails...they cute. But I personally wouldn't rush back. Sometimes helps to stick with who or what you know. Also my one nail already broke. But I'll chalk it up to user error

After a few hours my nail came off. Not only am I not able to get it fixed because of travel plans but the nail shop is not willing to compensate me for the lack of quality and the inconvenience.

Giving three stars however I want to make you guys aware that this it's phenomenal when it comes to pedicures! I have always been satisfied with the service received after a pedicure however my nails have been hit until today!! After so many years of living in Tampa, I finally found my place to get my nails Instagramable! As an influencer in Tampa who writes about food, it is essential that my nails are always on point. I was introduced to Daisy Le by a friend when I was looking for recommendations for nail art. Daisy is Ah-mazing! She has done everything from a fork design, a pizza slice, a wine glass, a doughnut, an airplane, and even a taco. This salon is conveniently located on Kennedy and I love going there because I instantly feel relaxed. They have an incredible selection of nail polish and their pedicures are super relaxing.

I LOVE getting my nails done here! Daisy is the BEST! I have never had anyone as good as her! She truly loves what she does and it shows in her work!! My nails last 3-5 weeks and probably would even longer but I get them done every 2.5-3 weeks most of the time. I also love Sonny! He gives the best shoulder and foot massage while you're getting your nails done. It's also owned by two women who are sisters and I love supporting women business owners!!

Nail broke and ombré set poorly done wasn't worth the money.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE I paid for a ombré full set and my nails broke in half after a few days. The ombré isn't done properly I will be uploading a photo. My nail is also broken on the other hand. I wasted money just for my nails to be breaking after a few days. I paid for acrylic on my toe nails and the polished chipped and the acrylic broke off. The pedicure was mediocre and was not worth the money. I've had far better pedicures the guy who did it did a poor job. Definitely not quality service I will not be returning. Save your money

This is it. We had to try a few places.. but then we lucked out and found Fancy Nails. I think we've been here 7 or 8 times now. Always for a pedicure. It's a big place.. lot's of chairs and somehow they always seem to have someone available to take care of you. A basic pedicure comes with a good amount of leg and foot massage (important to me) so after a trip here. My feet look good, feel good and my psyche is healed. Pretty much a total win. Oh, and friendly service too.

Cleanliness is average Service sucks (on multiple occasions) Work is good Color selection is above average Menu/pricing is on par with the area All in all, will not return solely based on the service. At times, while waiting double the estimated amount of time, I wanted to leave and take my business elsewhere. Perhaps to the seven other locations within two miles. I was never asked to have a drink. What seemed to be the manager questioned me three times about my previous service instead of focusing on the line that was literally leaving in droves. The wait time is not only inaccurate but also bleak. Net of net if I had a gift card, I would pawn it off on a child who doesn't mind crap service and wait time.

So nice and everyone was friendly!!! Found it by accident and glad I did. Got a pedicure and eyebrow wax. Didn't feel rushed. Will be my go to place when I come to visit or better yet retire in Tampa. My feet were definitely happy after this. read more

I have been going to fancy nails on and off for 4 years. I find it to be a nice, clean salon with a lot of color options and great prices for the services they offer. However, the last 2 times I have been there, unfortunately my experience was not great. One of the times, I waited over 40 min between my nails and toes to get done. They also told me it would only be 15. In addition, the nail tech gave me the little scraper thing to scrape off my own shellack... I am sorry but if I am paying you to do my nails, I am not going to scrape off my own polish. Today, when I returned again, I picked out a specific color and the nail tech said they didn't have it. When I sat down to get my nails done, I saw the color on the wall! They ended up re-doing my toes with my original choice, and I could tell they were obviously irritated. In addition, the nail tech breezed through my shellack polish change, and the polish is all uneven on like half of my nails... and he didn't bother to file them after, so I had to go home and file myself. I will still probably go back, but I feel like with the amount of times I have gotten my nails done there over the years, plus all the referrals I have given them, I should be getting better service. read more

Broke a nail and needed to get them done ASAP, while on vacation. I walked in and Thomas took good care of me, he took his time and didn't rush. He did an amazing job! I would comeback to see him anytime while in Tampa. Thomas's humor was superb!!! I couldn't stop laughing. Lol. Thomas thank you so much for making my nails FANCY! Yezzz Boo! I have already booked my next appointment- being in this business means I NEED my hands and my toes to be flawless and my polish And the health of my nails is VERY important to me. I went this weekend after hearing my friends rave about this place. I had a great pedicure, but my gel manicure was completed by someone else than my pedicure and the gel is already peeling after 2 days. I will probably not be returning due to this. UPDATE: I went in and they quickly fixed my nails. I am very happy and will be returning! read more

This is the nail place that you're happy you finally found. I found Daisy on IG and trekked from Brandon out to Tampa because her designs looked amazing. I am so happy I did she did a very specific design that lasted me all through vacation where I was doing a lot of physical activities like hiking, zip lining and horse back riding and my nails maintained their perfection through it all. Daisy is so precise and strives for perfection doesn't mind you telling her if you don't like the shape of the nail or the way a design came out. If you enjoy a welcoming and relaxing nail place with phenomenal customer service this is the place for you! read more

We went in for Manicure and Pedicure. Both of those services are decent. My wife got her eyebrows waxed. Literally got her skin peeled off. They provide the wax service, but the technician was not trained or performed the task right. I'd advise against any wax services. read more

I've been going to fancy nails for about two years now and will not go anywhere else! Everyone here is absolutely wonderful. I always see Lan and she does such a good job that many of my friends have started coming to see her too! They're very responsive if you need to call to get in and also great if you happen to break a nail in between appointments and need to be seen sooner. I've gotten pedicures here as well but that's honestly it. I'm sure the rest of their services are wonderful too! read more

Unprofessional and inconsistent. Received a gel manicure from Mimi, who spent half the appointment watching a soap opera from her phone with AirPods in. Numerous times she stopped what she was doing to watch the show, and it absolutely affected the quality of her work. The gel manicure was bumpy, bubbly, and uneven. It was just passable enough that I didn't feel compelled to sit in the chair for another half hour to have her redo it, though I did get home and notice some egregious chips already present in the gel. What's even more ridiculous is no one else at the shop seemed to find it abnormal or inappropriate that she be so openly and heavily distracted while performing a task that inherently requires focus and attention to detail. The manager walked by to check in while she was watching television (instead of painting my nails) and seemed to find no issue with it. I feel compelled to include that Pam, Hanh, and Tom did an excellent job on the other manicures/pedicures during our trip. However, with the inconsistency of the staff's abilities and the nonchalant attitude of the manager, you'd be better off going to another one of Tampa's many fine nail art specialists. read more

Have been a client for 3 years and loved the place. Some technicians better than others, but today's experience was the worse in my 20+ years experience of getting my nails done. They hired the wrong guy. Poor quality (dip), very painful and not happy with the result at all. I hope he is fired by the time I come back. read more

Best nail salon! After having acrylics for over 10 yrs straight, my nails were so thin, they educated me on how to care for them, the difference b/w shellac, gel & gelish & how most nail salons claim to use shellac, but it's actually gel, how to tell the difference & what it means for your nail health. A year later, my nails are my own & healthy! To add to it, once you're a regular, they give you your own box w/ your own tools. Very sanitary, their deluxe spa pedicure is worth every penny!! About an hour long, 30 min massage, exfoliate, leg mask. And a glass of wine! :) The staff is amazing! Greet me by name every time I walk in, always sweet. Know when I'm feeling chatty & when I need quite time. Can't say enough about this place! read more

Hold up some of these complaints are very skewed. #1 there are a lot nail salons but I always say if you have to wait it is usually worth it. I have been going there for years and came from other salons that gave me fungus time after time. Yes sometimes they are crazy busy but again they are worth the wait. If you don't want to wait make an appointment, pick a regular person and than maybe you will be happy. Honestly I don't know if you'll be happy!!! Great salon,great prices and the most hardworking folks!!!! read more

Decent nail salon. You have to speak up for yourself and ask but they have luxury organic pedicure. Mine was relaxing and the massage chairs are soothing with heat. Though I have not been offered at both of my visits, they sometimes offer guests wine and water, etc... not sure of their selection process as to who is offered these beverages. But I have seen them. The owners are considerate and friendly. read more

Update: Lan reached out to me and apologized for my previous experience. When I went back in they were so accommodating and did an amazing job. Excellent customer service! Thank you! Unfortunately I'm reviewing this again and decreasing the amount of stars because I've been very disappointed with the pedicures lately. I've been coming here for at least 5 years strictly for the pedicures and I always raved about them! Now, the staff doesn't seem to really put much effort into them and the massage barely has any pressure behind it, they seem to be doing it to just pass the time. A lot of the nail techs don't seem to know what they're doing. I hope they can change this and get back to the old Fancy Nails! read more

I tried this salon because of the yelp reviews but will not be back. Grumpy owner started my pedi, and did a mediocre job, before passing me onto someone else. End result of pedi was patgetic and they never scrubbed the bottom of my feet. The young man who did my acrylic fill barely spoke English and didn't know how to do nails. He asked the girl next to him for instruction on each step, and the final outcome was the worst I've ever had. EVER! There's a 10% off offer if you go to their website, where i saw some cute simple nail art and the kid FREAKED OUT and said he wouldn't do it... it's on THEIR WEBSITE!! Don't waste your time or money. Horrible... seriously horrible. :( read more

I just got off a flight and I had broke my nail. I called them at 6:05, after arriving at my hotel. They told me to come on. They closed at 7:00 but stayed to redo my nails. Ken was so nice and extremely professional. The best nail job I've had in a while. Being a flight attendant, I see my share of nail salons in my travels. I went to a different nail salon yesterday because I have a bachelorette party with a moulin rouge theme. They weren't able to do the more intricate designs so I had to settle for what they could do and they did it very well but I walked away somewhat unhappy. So, the next day I decided to come here based on some of the images on their website. I am sooo happy I did because they did what I wanted. I called to make a same day appointment. When I got there I was sent to a table to soak and remove my old gel manicure as soon as I can in the door even though they were very busy. I am so happy with what I got, I will definitely come back read more

I've had two great experiences at this place. The first time my mom and I went for mani/pedís. We both received excellent attention to detail, got great leg and foot massages and our manis lasted a week chip free. My second pedicure was just as good. The technician didn't bat an eye when I came back with a smudged nail two minutes later. read more

Going out of town. Had acrylic set done. Took 2 1/2 hours to do pink / white acrylic French manicure. Charged me $60. The worst part was the whole time I was out of town a nail or 2 would break off every day. By day 3 I looked like stubby doing a presentation in front of people. I tried not to talk with my hands or point. It was embarrassing. The nails broke because first he put the glue on my nail and not the nail tip you being glued on. Secondly, he filed the thin part of the tip that you just glued on. I asked him to stop repeatedly but of course he kept on gluing and filing they are the professionals and we just watch right! Either he didn't speak English or he just plain didn't care and I had to pay to get my nails done right while in Chicago. read more

Fancy Nails is Tampa's best nail salon - no question. Daisy is a fabulous nail tech. She is very professional and considerate of her customers. She's highly talented, able to do amazing nail art, custom finishes, etc. For the Super Bowl, she hand-painted NE Patriots logos on my ring finger nails in what seemed like just a few minutes, yet the quality of the work was just remarkable! She's also lots of fun so my visits with her are always a pleasure. I highly recommend Fancy Nails and Daisy. read more

I really enjoyed my pedicure. I upgraded to the Deluxe which included a longer massage, a complimentary glass of wine (with a generous pour might I add), among other benefits. The main reason I did not give 5 stars is because they do not allow for credit card tips. Being a new customer, I was put in a tough situation because I didn't have any cash and always try to be a generous tipper. They did not have an ATM in the building so I had to walk (with my freshly done nails might I add) down a block to a Regions ATM, pay a fee, and walk back to tip. The sign posted near the pedicure bowls (which is how I noticed...mid pedicure) said something along the lines of "Thank you for understanding as we work to improve customer experience" but I found this to be a step backwards in customer experience for anyone whose never been and wouldn't have known to bring cash. Overall, I loved my nails, my leg massage was wonderful and not rushed, and my feet were baby soft by the end of it. read more

Went here for the first time today, have not been happy with my old nail place. The pedicure was amazing, I think she massaged my legs and feet for over 30 minutes. I was in heaven and never wanted to leave. I also got a gel manicure which was very good as well but the pedicure and all the massaging was fabulous. I think I found my new place. They give 10% off to new clients which was nice as well. Very happy. read more

Very unorganized. It took an hour and forty five minutes, plus three different people to complete a shellac manicure and pedicure. At the end of it all, I was less than satisfied with my nails. Horrible cuticle job and uneven paint job. Also, it was $85 total!!!! Highest price in town. I will never return! read more

She continues to put more wax on and gets sticker and she is unable to get the wax off of me mind you I am laying on the table for over 15 minutes with this girl, trying to pull the Wax off of me I told you to stop to get someone in there. She said she would. I waited. I waited. She left the room because I was getting anxious. She was getting nervous. I got up off the table half dressed, went in the hallway. Ask the lady across the hall to please help me. She said she would be with me in five minutes. I then I took the wax off me left will never go back. I have not got a phone call to apologize not a thing I would not recommend this place to anyone since there's been new owners. The prices have gone up. Lan takes great care of all of her clients, ensuring that they are satisfied and get quality work done here. I had been going to the same nail guy, John, for months and when he left Lan got me a new nail tech and made sure I was taken care of. She always makes sure to say 'Hello' when I come into the salon, ensuring she knows who I am. I was charged $65 for chrome french.. I also didn't want chrome, I wanted a sparkly color that looked like chrome- showed photo and clarified. Definitely not going back.

Somehow even that went completely wrong. My nails came out crooked, uneven, ridiculously lumpy, oddly shaped, way too thick, still wet in spots, and they cut my skin from filing so aggressively. They were also much shorter than I asked for. What upset me most was the lack of basic care and hygiene. They didn't clean up my cuticles or nail beds at all, and the tools and overall setup felt very unsanitary. I started with one technician, and the work was already sloppy, but I kept trying to "trust the process." Then I was switched to a man (who I believe is the owner), and the experience got worse. He was rude, raised his voice at me, and made extremely inappropriate comments that made me uncomfortable. It was very unprofessional and honestly shocking. I'm not confrontational, so I paid and left, but I was so unhappy that I immediately went to another salon to have them fixed. The new technicians were shocked at how poorly my nails were done and it took them a long time to repair the damage. I know this place seems like an affordable option, but it absolutely isn't worth it. Save yourself the time, money, and discomfort and go somewhere else.
