I have never stepped foot into the Fanatax Cigar House, but I follow them on other social media outlets, and I have ordered via their website on a few occasions. Considering the awesome job, they do with the ordering and shipping process I can only imagine how amazing the actual shop experience would be. While they carry a vast array of cigars, I truly appreciate their consistency when it comes to the availability of Arturo Fuente Opus X cigars. While these can be difficult to come by, Fanatix is able to maintain a decent level of inventory. If Opus X is your cigar of choice, I highly recommend checking out Fanatix Cigar House. As for shipping, I have never had a problem with receiving my order in a timely manner. Add to it, there is always a custom note included pertaining the enjoyment of the cigars purchased. Probably the best place in the entire state of NJ to get cigars. Now what makes this place the best...lets see. 1. If you are a cigar newbie and dont what type of cigar to get, the experts will gladly point you in the right direction. It also helps if you are specific with what you are looking for. For example, I asked for something that goes with a cognac and I want something smooth and not strong. 2. A lot of cigars shops only let you buy a cigar and leave. You might be able to smoke there if you are a member of said place. At this place, you can smoke, bring your own food and drinks and dont have to be a member of this place to have that experience. 3. This is a great and casual place to unwind after work. The seating is comfortable. They have torches, ash trays, and cutters for your convenience. Cigar selection is affordable. There's also a house blend selection to choose from. They have kcuos and bottles water for sale, but I'd be nice if they had a bigger selecton of food and drink, or just put out menus for us to order. Also a great place to watch the game. Fanatix Cigar House formally ( The Cigar Shack ) has new ownership, I've been here multiple times to sit outside and enjoy a fine hand made CIGAR. I find the atmosphere to be pleasant and you can BYOB, I feel the prices on some cigars is a bit on the HIGH side. I do think the customer service needs a little work as I do not feel the knowledge is here when it comes to help finding a cigar that fits your palate. Noticed many hold overs from the old Cigar Shack days some of these customers are not so pleasant and I avoid them completely. I prefer a shop that is welcoming as I brought 2 friends with me and two of us purchased cigars and my female friend is a cigarette smoker who did lite up and was promptly told to not smoke that and I have no issue but it's a smoking lounge and I think the female employee should have tried to entice my female friend to try a cigar it might have worked... read more

The Cigar Shack is a nice little quaint smoker's lounge; good vibes and seemingly friendly group of owners. The selection is pretty large with new, boutique, and tried and true brands of cigars, but one visit is not enough to obtain a proper sample of the different brands. The space is quite small and parking is even smaller so be prepared to park across the street, in Turtle's lot, block the other people in, or down the road. It also will get packed inside as this place seems to be very popular and a lot of regulars hang out here. They also run events here which seems pretty cool; next up is a comedy night type of thing. My buddies and I had an Oscar Leaf maduro wrapper, which we found to be medium bodied and very tasty. It burned a little uneven and canoed some, so frequent relighting was necessary to correct the stogie. I suspect uncontrolled humidity to cause some issues, but it wasn't a deterrent from the experience. The filtration system is very good, but it does and you will smell like cigars once you enter and leave Cigar Shack. The Cigar Shack is a great find in the nearby Hackensack area and eliminates the need to have to drive to Paramus to JR Cigars for their mediocre selection. Since I live only a few minutes away it will be great to walk in warmer weather and enjoy a stogie from here. Oh, and even though it's a small joint there is no membership charge to smoke your stogie inside while relaxing on the cushy seating unlike other cigar bars. You can even bring in your own smokes, but they will charge you a $10 smoke fee. Not sure if it's BYOB since it was my first visit, but some patrons had mini cups of cognac so I bet a beer or two wouldn't harm anyone. read more

Always feel welcomed by the staff, not the biggest selection but you will find the Fuentes, Camachos, Perdomos, and other great brands. Also they have my favorite Joya De Nicaragua by Drew Estate so this has definitely become my go to spot. Chairs are a little beat up but I feel it adds to the charm of the place.
