But the shrimp were a bit on the mealy side, so I would prefer their delicious clam chowder over this soup. I considered the Grilled Rainbow Trout with Roasted Corn Salsa and Avocado Crema, but someone else ordered it, so I tried the Haddock baked Anna's Way. My baked haddock was moister than the grilled trout, and was deemed the winner between the two! *** Yet another visit to Legal Sea Food and I turned my attention from their lunch menu to the regular menu and ended up selecting the crabcake and grilled shrimp entree which comes with a salad and a side of pilaf for $45. It was good, as was my sampling of arctic char grilled with lemon butter & crispy capers, which turned out to be an orange colored fish, tender with a nice crisp skin. I considered changing up the slides briefly, but the veggies were different since our previous trip, and the brussels sprouts were gone. I must give props to service on this visit. It wasn't just better than Legal's normal service, but it stood out all around. Julia not only conveyed that she had been informed of the note I had included in our reservation, but she wished my parents a happy anniversary, divided the bowl of soup that they were going to share for their convenience, and surprised them with a warm cookie a la mode with an anniversary note decoration beside it. We never had to ask for a single thing. The orders all came out correctly, and refills of water were offered before we even felt need.

When I inquired about the missing claw I was told it was cut up in the stuffing mix. First of all, I have been to this restaurant many times ordering this same dish. So, tell me why 1 claw meat would be cut up and not the other one. Once the explanation was given it was utterly bull. I've never had the claw meat cut up and mixed in with the stuffing and as far as I'm concerned it should never be an option to do that. If so, I probably would not order this dish anymore. I want to see my claws in it's entirety and not cut up. Bottom line lobsters have 2 claws not 1. Both should have been in the dish and basically it wasn't. This will not deter me from coming to this establishment, but please think about your response before providing an answer that doesn't make any sense. What bothered us most was not the wait, but the inconsistent treatment and dismissive attitude we encountered. When I mentioned the situation to the hostess as we were leaving, she immediately seemed to know which bartender I was referring to and apologized for our experience. This isn't your regular American seafood market. 1 - they cook here, so you can order your fish raw to cook at home or they'll cook it up for you for a fee. You can also order something off their menu. Speaking of which 2 - they are Vietnamese, and the menu shows it. What other seafood market are you going to be able to order your fresh seafood cooked with ginger and garlic , salt and pepper, or with tamarind sauce? 3 - that catering menu includes options such as Vietnamese fried rice, snails (coconut or with salted egg yolk), rice paper salad, and Vietnamese egg rolls. You can also get your fried seafood here, served with fries and cole slaw. Softshell crab is a rarity to see on a fish market menu, or so it seems to me. The six pieces were three crabs, each split in half. The crabs themselves were a bit on the small side, but I definitely would come back to peruse more of their menu.

On this visit in February, their lobster rolls were $16.99+tax for 4 oz of lobster salad, and $24+tax for 7 oz. The bun is the same for both, and gets toasted. Service was pleasant. I went with the large. My roll was well filled, seemingly with claw and knuckle meat, and the bread was tasty. Charging is subject to a 4% fee.
